Tools for Development of XBW
Mikula, Mário ; Nečaský, Martin (referee) ; Lánský, Jan (advisor)
This thesis discusses two tools for simplifying the development process of XBW compression system. The rst is a library for writing up debug information suitable for the hierarchical structure of XBW modules. Which is a dynamic structure and can change over time. The second is a program which veries correctness of XBW functionality based on selected parameter combinations. Parameter combinations for testing are dened in a suitable manner - with regular expressions.

Raymond Queneau and his novel Blue Flowers. Translation of one type of French experimental prose
Sauerová, Klaudia ; Belisová, Šárka (advisor) ; Šotolová, Jovanka (referee)
Raymond Queneau's novel s ha ve been translated in to Czech since the 60's of the 20th century. This work focuses on two of hi s novels, typical of their experimentalism: Zazie in the Metro and The Blue Flowers. A stylistic analysis of the original text showed different aspects of Queneau's poetics and also difficulties faced by a translator. Unusually rich means of expression, such as puns and neologisms at the lexical level, changing of stylistic layers or new French - handwriting created by the author to draw nearer spoken and written language, intertextuality and mathematical structures incorporated into the composition of the novel s are typ i cal features of Queneau' s work. We examined possibilities of Czech while translating Queneau's language experiments by comparing translations of two Queneau's novels, do ne by two different translators. Our work concentrates mainly on problems with translating puns, neologisms, phraseology, and new French. Jiri Pelikan 's trans lati on of the novel The Blue Flowers proved that in spite of some divergences between the original and the target text (archaization of verba dicendi, compensation), it is, on the whole, possible to keep to the author' s complex poetics, and to create, within the given scope, a work of translation that can compare with the original. The...

Syntax of the legal texts in diachronic point of view
Frausová, Lenka ; Zikánová, Šárka (referee) ; Hošnová, Eva (advisor)
The thesis deals with the language of legal documents and i t provides i ts readers wi th a description of i ts syntactic ::levelopment since 1918 up to now. On the background of the nethod by M . Těšitelová et al. Three text form three periods ~re analysed (about the years 1920, 1960 and 2000); their total range being 27000 word. The research results in the finding that the style of legal texts had its specific features at the beginning of the examined period allready. The sentences as a unit of predication gets longer. Further, the 1umber of nominal construction grows as one of the basic :haracteristics of the legal language. In the texts dated 2000 3. wider scale of analytic predicates is used. The vocabulary )f nonverbal clauses is impowerished. On the other hand, the 1umber of uses of postponed adj ecti ves grows considerabely, Lnfluencing the length of nominal groups. The thesis also )ffers a surwey of means of expressing intrinsic modality.

In conclusion are formulated recommendations for improvement of both programs and system of company education as a whole. Expressed is as well overall opinion on company activities in the area of employees education.

The molecular mechanism of CSL protein participation in oxidative stress response in Schizosaccharomyces pombe
Daněk, Petr ; Převorovský, Martin (advisor) ; Sipiczki, Matthias (referee)
Redox homeostasis maintenance is important for proper organism and cell function, for while relatively low amount of reactive oxygen (and nitrogen) species contributes to the fine tuning of signal transduction, excessive concentration of ROS (oxidative stress) has demonstrably harmful effects and is tightly connected to many pathological states. Cells therefore evolved broad palette of antioxidant mechanisms that express striking level of conservation among different species. Large, intricate stress response signaling networks have been already described; nonetheless, novel molecules employed in stress-related signaling are still being discovered. Several studies recently suggested transcription factors CSL, proteins essential for regulation of metazoan development as effectors of Notch signaling, are also involved in response to oxidative stress. The fission yeast Schizosaccharomyces pombe, well established model of response to various stresses, comprises two paralogs of CSL proteins - Cbf11 and Cbf12. We have found cells depleted of cbf11 are highly resistant to hydrogen peroxide. This resistance appears to be caused by upregulation of important stress responsive genes including ctt1, gst2, pyp2, and atf1. Cbf11 is therefore negative regulator of these genes, which suppresses their expression...

Optimization of the permanent magnet machine based on the artificial inteligence
Kurfűrst, Jiří ; Duroň,, Jiří (referee) ; Singule, Vladislav (referee) ; Ondrůšek, Čestmír (advisor)
The dissertation thesis deal with the design and the optimization of the permanent magnet synchronous machine (SMPM) based on the artificial intelligence. The main target is to apply potential optimization methods on the design procedure of the machine and evaluate the effectiveness of optimization and the optimization usefulness. In general, the optimization of the material properties (NdFeB or SmCo), the efficiency maximization with given nominal input parameters, the cogging torque elimination are proposed. Moreover, the magnet shape optimization, shape of the air gap and the shape of slots were also performed. The well known Genetic algorithm and Self-Organizing migrating algorithm produced in Czech were presented and applied on the particular optimization issues. The basic principles (iterations) and definitions (penalty function and cost function) of proposed algorithms are demonstrated on the examples. The results of the vibration generator optimization (VG) with given power 7mW (0.1g acceleration) and the results of the SMPM 1,1kW (6 krpm) optimization are practically evaluated in the collaboration with industry. Proposed methods are useful for the optimization of PM machines and they are further theoretically applied on the low speed machine (10 krpm) optimization and high speed machine (120 krpm) optimization.

Anotace: Title: Pastoral Councils in the 2nd Prague Vicarate The purpose of this work is research of the role of pastoral councils in the 2nd Prague Vicarate in the field of pastoral planning and activity of parishes. It tries to find the answer to question whether pastoral councils are proper bodies which help the vicar, resp. the administrator with thein tasks or not. The basic data to evaluate result from the questionaire answered by vicars and administrators whereby is apparent whether such a council works in their parish, and if so, what is the importance and range of its activities. pastorační rada = pastoral council farnost = parish farář = vicar vikariát = vicarate farní pastorační rada = parish pastoral council

Potential output. Econometric application for Czech Republic.
Kyncl, Jan ; Pánková, Václava (advisor) ; Bašta, Milan (referee)
I summarize different methods of potential output and output gap estimation including advantages and disadvantages in this thesis. I also applied two published models on real data for Czech Republic. Concerned models are Hodrick-Prescott filter and so called Production Approach. Both approaches are simultaneously used by ČNB. This thesis offers comparison between HP filter and production approach and comparison of Czech, Austrian and common EU-15 potential output and output gap. Potential output of Austria and EU-15 was obtained from OECD database. Comparison result refers to very similar progress of estimate obtained by univariate and multivariate method. It also shows different trend behavior of domestic economy against more developed EU countries, which is starting to be similar at the end of observed period.

Goethes novel "The Sorrow of Young Werther" and its translation into Czech. Comparison of translations by Oskar Reindl, Arno Kraus, or others
Pěkný, Jan ; Veselá, Gabriela (advisor) ; Žárská, Monika (referee)
Goethe's novel "The Sorrow oj Young Wertheť' was actually the flrst intemational success of the German literature. 25-year old Goethe wrote it at the beginning ofhis literature career within few weeks of spring of 1774. The second edited and extended version was published in 1787. The aim ofthis diploma thesis was to compare two translations ofthis novel into Czech, namely translation by Oskar Reindl from 1922 and Arno Kraus from 1942. Prior to the very comparison, several aspects of the novel that are relevant for the subsequent comparison are described. At the end of 18th century Werther became a cult for young generation. Due to the worldwide fame of the novel, other authors - included by literature theorists for their speciflc use of language and for speciflc motiv es among the movement of "Sturm und Drang" - became famous. The novel comprises two books of letters and one part called "Publisher to the Reader" (Herausgeber an den Leser). The novel is specific in its form and style. It is a letter-novel, where all the letters are written exclusively by Werther trying to describeto his friend Wilhelm- his experiences of last two years ofhis life, his feelings, and his motive that had driven him to commit suicide. The letters are not written every day and they include several unexplained segments requiring...

Organizational climate and job satisfaction
Ke zpracování předložené disertační práce "Organizační klima a pracovní spokojenost" mě vedly dva hlavní důvody. Prvním důvodem byla pociťovaná potřeba širšího teoretického zpracování problematiky organizačního klimatu a pracovní spokojenosti a potřeba reflektovat velmi "uvolněné" užívání těchto pojmů v poradenské i řídící praxi, se kterým se již dlouhá léta setkávám. Druhým důvodem tematického zaměření práce je můj profesní zájem, kterým je problematika řízení lidí. Zpracování tématu v rámci této oblasti mi umožnilo uplatnit teoretické znalosti i poznatky z praxe řízení organizací. Pojem klima v souvislosti s...
