Education for preventing and managing stress in the performance of the teaching profession Abstract: Teaching profession is one of the helping professions. It is based on the teacherś personality. Teachers involved in the growth ability of the future generations and also to cultivate the conditions for social and professional life. The profession of teacher is part of the overall social structure. The teacher is a bearer of values, enter into multiple roles simultaneously. Consciousness of great responsibility and mental demands may lead to situations of internal tensions, the social psychological difficulties deepen psychological crisis situations. Coping with stressful situations can affect the specific skills which can be learned in the prevention of the impact of stress on the personality of the teacher. In order to protect the health of teachers of preventive measures can prevent risky moments and moderate the effects of stressful situations. Methods of the Mental Hygiene for Teachers of Special Schools in the Czech Republic

Methods of the Mental Hygiene for Teachers of Special Schools in the Czech Republic Abstract This Bachelor's Thesis is the theoretical study, including illustrative transcripts of interviews with educators from a selected special school. It contains the description of main terms like mental hygiene, stress and burn-out syndrome in a context of pedagogical profession. It solves the mental strain of educators which is typical for the working environment at a school. There are presented methods of mental hygiene appropriate for special school's teachers. In the thesis there is also presented dividing of these methods and their short descriptions. Further there is a summary of how methods of mental hygiene are integrated for educators in the legislation of the Czech Republic. The last part contains questions and transcripts of interviews. Motivation for the teaching profession

Anotace: The thesis "The motivation for the teaching profession" dealt with fundamental problems of motivation to the teaching profession. In the theoretical part, we have focused on general characteristics of terms that pertain to the teaching profession, particularly the theory of the teaching profession, the choice of the teaching profession, the phase of the teaching profession, teacher typology, the role of teacher training and professionalization of teachers, but also washed into the teaching profession, status of teachers in society, the prestige of the teaching profession, on motivation and disincentives to the teaching profession, teachers' job satisfaction and coping in the teaching profession. Based on this theoretical target was set of thesis and research work was carried out. The aim of this thesis was to investigate the motivation of students second and 3 year master's program, major in Teaching for elementary schools, the Faculty of natural sciences, humanities and teaching Technical University in Liberec, which leads to the choice and the teaching profession. Title: Transforming teacher education of chemistry in the Czech Republic Abstract: The title of the dissertation is 'Transforming teacher education of chemistry in the Czech Republic'. The work describes and analyzes the current system of the pregraduate prospective teachers' training of chemistry at universities and faculties of science focused on teaching science as well the subsequent in-service education of chemistry teachers in this country. The work also takes into account the post-war development of education in the republic from 1945 until present and the list of all the universities and faculties that educate chemistry teachers. The most important section of this work identifies and analyzes the current state of training and further education of chemistry teachers and the design of chemistry teachers educational conception in the Czech Republic. Perception of life and job satisfaction among secondary school teachers

This thesis deals with life and job satisfaction of the teachers at secondary schools. The theoretical part focuses on the definitions of life and job satisfaction. It describes their definitions, dimensions and determinants affecting life and job satisfaction. It also reports the characteristics of the teaching profession, the teacher´s personality and his/her typology. The thesis refers about the demands that are placed on their position, then about the risks that threaten. The practical part is conceived as a research of life and job satisfaction using a standardized questionnaire of life satisfaction by J. Fahrenberg et al.(2001). The main task of this thesis is to measure or find out how much are the secondary school teachers satisfied not only in their jobs but also within their lives. These points are very important and motivating.
Teachers´ view on their profession

My diploma thesis deals with problems of viewing of teachers who work in primary school on their profession. There are elaborated facts, which deals with an activity, problems, competences, roles, prestige, a salary and a social status of this profession in the theoretical part. There are elaborated interviews with teachers in the practical part who responded how they perceive their occupation, what they think about it from the view of working content, professional problems, etc.

The thesis deals with the issue of stress in teachers. The concepts of teacher, stressor, stress and burn out syndrome are explained, as well as the connection between them. The theoretical part is focused on the stress prevention and the defense against stress. The aim of the practical part is to detect the main stressors in teachers, as well as the frequency and the intensity of their stress and negative emotions experience with regard to their professional age, sex and specialization. Further, teachers' knowledge about stress and their effort to prevent themselves from experiencing it are investigated.
The social position of a teacher career and its present-day problems

The thesis also tries to sort and describe current problems of this profession as it is the evaluation of the teachers' social status that the problems can be reflected by.
Becoming a teacher - a female perspective

The aim of this thesis is to analyse and describe aspects related to the process of becoming a teacher. The thesis is divided into two parts ? theoretical and research. In the theoretical part the thesis derives information from specialized publications dealing with teaching topics and discusses the history of teaching profession, teacher?s personality, competences and typology. It also analyses the prestige and the causes of feminization of the teaching profession. In the research part using a qualitative study it investigates aspects related to the process of becoming a teacher from the female perspective. The research is based on in-depth interviews with female primary school teachers in different periods of their teaching practise. Dealing with both parts the thesis summarises and generalizes the main aspects affecting the process of becoming a teacher. The thesis is completed with my short essay on a theme ?good teacher?.
