Racist legislation of Nazi Germany
Vernerová, Denisa ; Seltenreich, Radim (advisor) ; Horák, Záboj (referee)
The thesis is divided into nine separate chapters. In the first chapter, I focused on the aftermath of the First World War. Shortly after the cessation of fighting, representatives of the powers involved met in France to establish responsibility for the outbreak of the global conflict. The Treaty of Versailles imposed high financial reparations on Germany and also stipulated a reduction of the German army and, last but not least, the removal of a part of the German territory. The second and third chapters are devoted to postwar developments in Germany. After the war, Germany became a republic, namely a democratic republic. The Weimar Republic even had one of the most democratic constitutions in Europe. From its establishment, the republic was facing hardly surmountable difficulties in the field of internal politics, economy and later finance. It is therefore no wonder that the citizens, disappointed in democracy, heeded the positively sounding mottos of the National Socialists on the eradication of unemployment and the improvement of living standards for all. I have divided the era of Hitler's Germany into three periods in terms of taking antisemitic measures for the purposes of better orientation in the text. In the first period, the Nazis focused primarily on the elimination of the Jews (with some...

Management of Stakeholder Satisfaction with Service Quality of Higher Education Institutions
Schüller, David ; Koráb, Vojtěch (referee) ; Světlík, Jaroslav (referee) ; Spáčil, Vojtěch (referee) ; Chalupský, Vladimír (advisor)
This work focuses on the management of university stakeholder satisfaction with the service quality of these institutions. It examines the links between satisfaction, stakeholders, and service quality. This work deals with different approaches and methods of service quality satisfaction measurement and the emphasis is placed especially on tertiary education. The following goals and hypotheses were formulated on the basis of theoretical knowledge obtained from scientific publications. The main aim of this work is to suggest a new model for management of stakeholder satisfaction with the service quality of tertiary institutions. The second main aim is to suggest a new method of analysis of student satisfaction with the service quality of tertiary institutions. There is a close connection between both main targets and students are considered as clients in this dissertation. Hypotheses and sub-goals are also closely related to the main aim. They are formulated in such a way as to help reach the main targets and verify the suggested method in practice. For instance, the identification of stakeholders of tertiary institutions is one of the sub-goals of this work and its accomplishment significantly helped to fulfil the main targets. The sub-goals are also focused on the area of marketing communications. Marketing communication is the integral part of the suggested model for management of stakeholder satisfaction with the service quality of tertiary institutions. Therefore, one sub-goal is to formulate a set of recommendations which will improve marketing communication of tertiary institutions with their stakeholder. The author produced this dissertation on the basis of theoretical knowledge from scientific literature written by Czech and foreign authors and also conducted research. The primary research was done using the following techniques: individual interviews, focus groups and a (questionnaire) survey. The results of the primary research were analysed using the applications Microsoft Office Excel, Statistics and QC. Expert.Microsoft. The data analysed from the primary research was used to define the importance of individual stakeholders within the suggested model of satisfaction management. On the basis of the results provided, the criteria was identified and then used to evaluate their importance for measurement of student satisfaction with service quality. Moreover, the results obtained by primary research enabled the statistical verification or refutation of the hypotheses of the dissertation.

Preparation of radiolabeled albumin
Suchan, Martin ; Trejtnar, František (advisor) ; Lázníček, Milan (referee)
Objectives: This senior thesis was aimed at determining a method of albumin labelling with a particular radionuclide - technetium 99m Tc. Our task was to review the various possible methods needed for working out a procedure for albumin labelling with the mentioned radioisotope and also to test the behavior of labelled albumin in vitro in experiments with newly-isolated rat kidney cells. The next objectives of this work were to analyze the performed experiments, compare the results with other known procedures of albumin labelling with technetium 99m Tc and cast the results in the form of a scientific statement. Methods: A low pH and high concentration of albumin were useful for the albumin labelling experiments. A solution of SnCl2.2H2O was used for the reduction of pertechnetate. Purification of labelled albumin was performed by gel chromatography with a Sephadex G-50. The locations of albumin peaks in the chromatographic fractions were determined by the bicinchonic method. The location of pertechnetate was found by investigating the chromatographic spectrum of pertechnetate. Investigation of the elution spectrum was used to check for proper labelling. The radiochemical purity of labelled albumin was verified by paper chromatography and subsequent detection. Newly- labelled albumin was used in the...

Modern islam - encounters of islam with the West

Dementia in the Czech Republic: development, projection and risk factors
Cséfalvaiová, Kornélia ; Langhamrová, Jitka (advisor) ; Malá, Ivana (referee) ; Růžková, Jiřina (referee)
Doctoral thesis deals with dementia, which social, health and economic impacts are alarming worldwide. Expected dramatic increase in the number of people with cognitive impairment will put high demands on health and social care. Population aging and the increase of elderly persons aged 65+ evoked a need to address this issue, since age is the major risk factor for dementia. Conflicting conclusions of the European and international studies confirm the difficulty of quantifying the disease. Different definitions and measurement methods lead to different results. In the Czech Republic, in comparison with other developed European countries, there is no relevant research on the expected increase in the number of people with dementia or trends and determinants of severe cognitive impairment. Available estimates of the prevalence of dementia in the Czech Republic are based exclusively on the international prevalence studies EURODEM and Eurocode. Dissertation provides an estimate of the number of people with dementia in the Czech Republic to 2050 based on the construction of life tables for demented people. The thesis also includes analysis of risk factors of severe cognitive impairment based on socio-demographic and health variables. This knowledge is very important for the development and maintenance of effective policies and programs responsive to the needs of individuals living with cognitive impairment in the Czech Republic.
