Impact of COVID-19 on accommodation services

In December 2019, the first case of coronavirus infection was detected in China and has begun to spread worldwide. The aim of this thesis is to analyse the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on establishments providing accommodation services. The theoretical part presents a literature search that focuses on tourism, accommodation services and facilities, the COVID-19 pandemic, government measures and compensation programs. The practical part focuses on the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on accommodation services, which are explored through a questionnaire survey among accommodation operators in a particular region and through an analysis focused on specific accommodation facility. The conclusion of the work presents suggestions and recommendations for accommodation facilities related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The impact of the pandemic Covid-19 on single living seniors

The bachelor thesis deals with the description of the impact of the covid-19 pandemic on single living seniors. At the beginning of the work, the age and the associated changes and pitfalls are described. The issues of deprivation, isolation and separation are also discussed. In the last chapter of the theoretical part, the bachelor thesis focuses on epidemics and pandemics. This chapter describes their impact on the human psyche and how to manage it using coping strategies. The empirical part consists of research focused on the impact of the covid-19 pandemic on single living seniors. Within the mixed design, the principles of quantitative and qualitative methods were used. In the quantitative part, there was a comparison of single living seniors with those who live with a partner or family. The qualitative part focused on a closer study of the experiences of those who have to cope with this pandemic situation themselves. The data used for this bachelor's thesis come from the JUPSYCOR research project, which obtained information using a questionnaire survey during the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic in the Czech Republic.

The motivation of socially disadvantaged pupils to the education in emergency state

The thesis focuses on finding pedagogical approaches which motivate pupils from socially disadvantaged backgrounds to attend distance education. The objective of the thesis is to identify effective ways to involve pupils from socially disadvantaged backgrounds in distance education.In the theoretical part is mentioned the interaction of influences involved in the formation of the personality of the pupil from socially disadvantaged backgrounds, the influence of these factors in the education and motivation to learn is also taken into consideration. The attention is given especially to definition and identification of the term pupil from socially disadvantaged backgrounds and connected risks. It is followed by the part which deals with motivation of these pupils. The problematic of transition of pupils from socially disadvantaged backgrounds to distance education in state of emergency is also presented here. It is quantitative type of research. The method of research used were surveys, which were then used to as base to answer research questions concerning the possibilities of support and motivation of pupils from socially disadvantaged environments.
Preaching in a time of global pandemic: Reflection on the COVID-19 pandemic in the sermons of the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren

My thesis deals with the relation between sermons and the listeners' situa- tion; focus is given to specifc pandemic situation of COVID-19 and how this situation was manifested in the sermons of the preachers of Te Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren. Te thesis is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part function and versatility of sermons is de- scribed and possible typological divisions of sermons are presented. It also concerns the relation between sermon, preacher, listener and his situation. Brief overview of development of homiletical approach to listener and his sit- uation in the fundamental stages of homiletics is presented. Infuence of lis- tener's situation on preaching and choice of the Bible text is examined; pas- toral aspects of preaching are presented. Te practical part contains brief pre- sentation of the development of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Czech Repub- lic, focus is given mainly on the frst phase and the impact on religious life and churches in the Czech Republic. Social isolation during Covid-19 pandemic: the perspective of the elderly living alone

This thesis concerns the problem of social isolation in older adults living alone. It authentically captures the unique experience of older people during the Covid-19 pandemic. The aim of this work is to understand whether older people think their needs changed during the period of Covid-19 pandemic in comparison with the time before it, and moreover to formulate recommendations for field workers providing health and social services, general practitioners and municipalities with extended powers. This thesis is processed by the method of interpretive phenomenological analysis. The theoretical part presents a view of social isolation in older adults, risk factors leading to it and possibilities of prevention through various social institutions. It focuses not only on the period of the Covid-19 pandemic when the risk of social isolation was significantly influenced by the emergency measures against the spread of the diseases but also on the period before its onset. Analysis of marketing communication of SK Slavia Praha during the Covid-19 pandemic

1 Abstract This bachelor thesis analyses the marketing communication of the most successful Czech football club in recent years, SK Slavia Prague. Football has been the most popular sport in the Czech Republic for a long time, and the Covid-19 pandemic affected it greatly, as all competitions were interrupted for a long time and professional competitions were played in front of a limited capacity of spectators. In this thesis I analyse theoretical concepts from the world of sports marketing, the specifics of financing football clubs in the Czech Republic and the Covid-19 pandemic itself. In the practical part I analyse the marketing communication of SK Slavia Praha focusing on two periods during the pandemic, in the first period matches were not played at all and in the second period they were played without spectators or with a limited number of spectators in the stadium. In this thesis I analyse how the club's communication changed, which under normal conditions was aimed at getting fans to come to the stadium. I investigate what content the club created to retain and continue to attract fans. The result is a content analysis of two distinct periods, from which conclusions and recommendations for further communication of SK Slavia Prague are drawn.

Title: System of Prevocational Assessment Centers in the Czech Republic and his functioning in the process of Prevocational Assessment from the perspective of the Occupational therapist Abstract: Prevocational assessment is a process intended for people with disabilities, during this process, the work potential of the client is evaluated for employment purposes. The applicant for this examination can be the Labor Office, the employer or the client himself. The prevocational assessment examination is attended by an interprofessional rehabilitation team, an integral part of this team are doctors, as well as non-medical professions, including an occupational therapist. The prevocational assessment examination is a very important component of the entire prevocational assessment, as it is the most time-consuming part of this examination.The examination takes place in one of thirteen specialized Prevocational Assessment centers in the Czech Republic. All centers must meet personal, substantive and material standards. Conclusions from individual examinations are presented by experts from the team at a case conference. The decision - making of families caring for a senior member before and during the COVID19 pandemic

The diploma thesis topic is the decision-making of families regarding the care of their relatives in the elderly before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. The work aims to find out and describe the reasons of caregivers which led to the choice of a specific type of care for their relatives before and during the pandemic, through retrospective interviews with family members of seniors. At the same time, to reflect with the respondents on the changes they had to deal with during the pandemic in relation to the care of the elderly. The work is divided into the theoretical and methodological part. The theoretical part is divided into three main chapters and primarily focuses on the general characteristics of care for the elderly, the definition of key needs of seniors, and the impact of the pandemic on the lives of seniors and carers. Due to the focus of the diploma thesis, he also deals with the typology of family caregivers. The aim of this part was to define the typology of families, with which I further worked in the methodological part. Coping with the COVID-19 pandemic among academic mothers

The diploma thesis deals with coping with the COVID-19 pandemic among academic mothers. The aim of the thesis is to discover how female academics dealt with the global crisis, specifically in relation to the combination of personal and professional life. The thesis considers the criteria of academic excellence and examines whether coping with the pandemic differed between excellent and non-excellent academics. Additionally, the thesis studies academic work in the time of the COVID-19 pandemic in two distinct scientific fields; STEM and SSH, and simultaneously in two types of academic institutions; public universities and Czech Academy of Science. In order to answer the research objectives, a qualitative methodology, specifically semi-structured interviews, were used. Qualitative methodology enabled identify key factors that had an impact on the coping with the pandemic among academic mothers. The research method also allowed us to obtain information for comparing a predetermined category. The research revealed three dimensions that alongside contribute to the ability of female academics to deal with the pandemic.
