The Attitudes Formed by Geographical Education

This thesis deals with students attitudes, that are an interface between pedagogy, sociology, psychology and subject didactics. The main objective of this thesis is to zoom attitudes, refer to level of theirs processing in curriculum documents, make a suggestion of attitudes, present methods of their detection and comment examples of last research. These objectives are undermining the structure of thesis. The first part defines the available literature on key concepts. It is followed by analysis of curriculum documents from Czech Republic and selected countries in terms of completion and particular attitudes in them. Based on the analysis of curriculum documents a proposal focused on areas where the teaching of geography should be concentrating in Czech Republic is presented. The fifth chapter outlines the methods used to measure attitudes that can be used for the planned research. Then in the sixth chapter examples of studies and researches aimed at identifying the positions using the above mentioned methods are stated. The thesis is concluded with the effort to assess the status and degree of completion of the positions in the current Czech education and outline the planned investigations of students' attitudes. Curricular reform in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic and its comparison in terms of legal constitution, conduct and attitudes of the educational staff

The main objective of this work is to identify similarities and differences of the curricular reform in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic in terms of legal constitution, conduct and attitudes of the educational staff. As a research method uses a combination of qualitative and quantitative research, textual analysis of documents (legal norms, conceptual and strategic documents) and the questionnaire (opinions and attitudes of teachers). Respondents for the survey were selected by stratified selection to include leading educators and ordinary teachers, primary and secondary schools in both countries. The comparison showed that the process of curriculum reform in both countries are very similar, although the Slovak conducted with less delay. Framework educational programs in the Czech Republic and public education programs to Slovak consistently beyond the compulsory education through learning objectives, competencies, learning outcomes and course content. Quantitative research has demonstrated a lower level of acceptance of reforms in the Slovak Republic in comparison, which is related to a lower degree of familiarity of teachers in the country. The theoretical part explains the related terms, individual steps of auto-evaluation procedure, including evaluation tools, and describes basic documents of the state curricular policy in terms of preschool education. The research part concerns with the research question, i.e. investigation of the most commonly used methods form obtaining feedback showing a need for school curriculum modifications. The research method used is a questionnare. The work concludes that an interview is the method most commonly used with various groups of respondents. Progress in trends of foreign pre-primary and primary schools

This dissertation deals with new approaches of alternative schooling in foreign countries which recently became very popular. These three schools and approaches chosen for this dissertation are not known in Czech Republic yet. The dissertation presents these alternative schools and proposes alternative brushing up of the ideas to the maintain schools. The first school and the first approach of alternative is democratic school or also free school. The oldest democratic school is Summerhill in the east of England. The second interesting approach and school is Te Whāriki from New Zealand. The framework deals with education through socio-cultural context. The last representative of schooling which dissertation deals with will be Reggio Emillia, which is from Italy and based on ideas of Loris Malaguzzi. The dissertation applies to main philosophies of these three alternatives, which appears abroad and mainly in Great Britain. This piece of work evaluates similarities and differences of these alternative schools. According to from which country the concrete school comes from and circumstances influencing the origin. Preparedness of Finnish Education System to Curricula Reform

This thesis introduces a topic of current educational reform in Finland. The main goal is to describe a process of implementation of current curricula reform in Finland and evaluate a preparedness of teachers, students of teacher education and management of curricula to curricula reform. In theoretical part, we define "curriculum" and "curriculum reform", then we briefly introduce change management, reasons for successful or unsuccessful reform and specifics of finnish education system. The research part analyses the Finnish National Core Curriculum from 2004 and 2014 in detail. It also analyses interview with teachers, students of teacher education and management of reform. Based on research part of the thesis, we can say that teachers and students have been prepared in a field of knowledge, however they have not been prepared for implementing the ideas of reform into their everyday teaching. The management of reform has been prepared for implementation. Management includes teacher and other stakeholders into creating of the new curricula, the reform is communicated and finances for the reform are secured. Conclusion of the thesis summerize answers for research questions and brings recommendations for a further research.

The aim of this work is to draft a project concept of good nutritional habits for the 1st Primary School. The theoretical part describes the effect of nutrition on child development and the status of health education in the curriculum and the school with a focus on nutritional behavior. The practical part is focused on the description of the research investigation and by which is prepared to draft the project forming good nutritional habits.

The first part defines the content of media literacy and its levels and describes the main approaches to media education. The second part provides an overview of the introduction of media education in its systematization processes, institutionalization and implementation. The interest is focused on the description of the implementation process in the 90s of the last century and in the beginning of this century. Name Art as a starting point in the process of a class educational program for preschool children Abstract This work in its theoretical part specifies the definition of art education, work and art techniques at kindergartens. It describes both the historical and the current ideas on changes of art creation of pre-school children. It goes into the solutions, competency, preparations and the actual creation of a class curriculum for pre-school children at contemporary kindergartens. The empirical part describes experience of my colleagues in the creation of a class curriculum with a focus on the global view, motivation and integrated programmes. The practical part illustrates the class curriculum based on a year-round project which comes out of art activities. There is a motivational theme that goes through the whole project and motivates children in other spheres of education as well. There is an offer of activities and a close relation to other subjects which are based on the art creation of children or lead to the creation by art works. The whole project culminates with a theatre performance which is made by children themselves. Student's understading of the issue Nazism ideology on the secondary school

The aim of the diploma thesis is the understanding of Nazi ideology in the context of the political science by second degree students of primary school. In the theoretical part is analyzed concept of political science curriculum in the curriculum of civics educational area of Human and society RVP ZV with focusing on the theme - Nazi ideology. There are explained basic concepts of this issue - curriculum, framework educational program, political education and ideology and their types. You will also find current communication research, which dealing with the evolution of the political thinking of second degree students of primary school. In the practical part of this work is working with selected group of students, so that can diagnose (based on own investigation) how these students understand the problems of ideology focusing on Nazism. The selected group consists of students of the ninth grade of primary school. In this section is described the preparation, realization, presentation and subsequent interpretation of qualitative research, which took the form of semi-structured interviews with students.
