Reflection of Football World Cup in Brazil 2014 in news service of Czech news agency

Bachelor thesis "Reflection of Football World Cup in Brazil 2014 in news service of Czech press agency" deals with media covering of extremely important sport occasion. The main goal is to find out how Czech news agency provided news for their clients who rely on its service, especially when there was no special correspondent for it in Brasil. One of the most significant sport events in 2014 was taken as an example for mapping the production of sport redaction especially from quantitative point of view. Thesis focuses on analysis of agency service, it deals with a period of one week before the start of championship and a week after its final. In theoretical part the thesis reminds of process and development of chosen sport event and offers a view of its most important occasions. Also presents a profile of ČTK as a news agency and its sport service. Thesis pursues what in case of that significant sport event with societal impact was redaction"s personal security and what was the souring without special correspondent in the area. Thesis also quantify formats of news, other genres and chosen metadates emphasised interpretation of submitted data. Those are put and summarized in tables for better visibility. A comparison of Jaromir Bosak's television commentary and his book football dairies

In this thesis I examine verbal expression of Jaromír Bosák, one of the most recognized commentators of live football matches employed in Czech television. I focus on two international tournaments - FIFA World Cup France 1998 and European championship UEFA Euro 2012 Poland-Ukraine. Afterwards I analyze Bosák's football diaries, which he creates during such tournaments and they are named Jaromír Bosák's French diary and Jaromír Bosák's football diary from Poland and Ukraine. Based on linguistic definition of distinction between verbal and written expression I get some of the primary premises. They are examined and compared with real situation in Bosák's books and commentary. As a result we may consider how much are said linguistic definitions applicable on whichever expression. After that I take a swift look on Bosák's television commentary in a different way and try to determine the main elements, which he had evolved during the fourteen examined years. In purpose of understanding all coherency in this subject this thesis contains a profile of Jaromír Bosák, list of basic differences between the language of spoken and written text as well as theoretical description of sport commentary as a genre.

Achievements of our swimmers during the World competitions between 1950 and 2012

Name: Achievements of our swimmers on the World competitions since 1950 to nowadays. Goal: The goal of my work will be to gather significant results and success of Czech swimmers on the competitions of World, European and Olympics class and to judge a development of success of our swimmers through the time. On the significant performance of swimmers try to show capability of our swimmers to achieve the best results on competitions. Methods: In this thesis is used basic research of data which is important for main part of thesis. Results are stated on bases of strict standarts and they are choosing just from mentioned competitions. Than we use a comparison of data and then we use some basic maths operations to show results. Results: From the choose sources we found data and create a list of presences our swimmers on competitions of MS, ME, OH. Our results show a final position of swimmer in a competition, his time, Fina points and percentage value of his performance to his Pb. Results showing us that counts of our competitors is growing by the time 1950 - 2012. And on a last place we shortly show how swimmers were capable to focus their best physical conditions to the most important competitions. Title: Analysis of scoring oppoturnities in matches played by four selected teams during WWFC 2013. Intention: Purpose of the thesis is to analyse scoring oppoturnities from WWFC 2013 matches of selected teams Sweden, Finland, Switzerland and Czech Republic in a group and in playoffs. Methodology: The main method to build up the thesis is an analysis of succesfully shooted scoring chances of selected teams in WWFC 2013 matches, to put them into statistics and to evaluate them. Another method is to collect the databasis from literary sources and to process them into the theoretical part. Results: Outlines of the thesis are knowledges about the shooting and successful scoring chances of selected teams in matches in the group and in playoffs. Another outlines are: characteristics of shooting in case of its amount, types, where they were shooted from, how were they shooted and in case of the shooting situation. Effect of cycling on the overall performance in triathlon

Title: Effect of cycling on the overall performance in triathlon Objectives: The aim is to determine the influence of the cycling part on the total performance in the individual disciplines of triathlon. Methods: I used a linear regression for the determination of influence of cycling part on the total performance. The investigated values were compared in a column graph. Results: The dependence, rated by coefficient of determination by disciplines with allowed ride in the lee was "low" (R2 =0,069; R2 =0,01). The influence of the cycling section on the total result in triathlon was higher by disciplines without the chance of the lee than by disciplines with allowed ride in the lee. The influence by disciplines with allowed ride in lee was less than 10%, and it was 36 % by discipline with banned ride in the lee. The cycling section of a long triathlon didn't influence the total result more than the running part of a long distance triathlon. The influence of the running part was 7% higher. The cycling part affected the total result in an off-road triathlon a lot. The value 81 % means a big influence of the cycling section on the total result in an off-road triathlon. Media publicity of World floorball championship in years 1998 and 2008

The aim of this Bachelor's thesis, called "Media interest in the World Floorball Championships of 1998 and 2008", is to compare the media image of the World Floorball Championships in 1998 and 2008 in the daily newspapers Mladá Fronta Dnes and Sport. By means of quantitative and qualitative analysis it examines how intensively the media paid attention to the World Floorball Championship and how they reported it. The comparison of media image is done among the papers in the studied years and between years 1998 and 2008. The quantitative section is focused on classification of the genre, location, use of photographs, use of graphics, etc., and the gualitative section is focused on the ocurrence of patterns, which offer a way of perception of the presented information to recipients.

Cost - benefit analysis of Biathlon World Championships 2013

This thesis covers the implementation of ex post cost-benefit analysis (CBA) applied to specific sport event in the Czech Republic, specifically Biathlon World Championships, which was held in Nové Město na Moravě in 2013. The results of determinative criterion indicators reliably exceeded the required values, investment project can be considered as economically feasible. Concurrently the event has generated positive cash flow therefore we can talk about the feasibility of the project. Overall, the project can be recommended for realization, because brings more benefits than costs to interested parties.
