Using school garden to teach biology in ZŠ Hostýnská school

The thesis aims on complex description of environmental features of ZŠ Hostýnská school ground and evaluating its using for teaching biology. In theoretic part the importance of school grounds for educating is introduced, history of school gardens and current state of their using is described. Next part is focused on current using of school ground and description of its environment. Floristic investigation made by author in 2014-2015 is included. In frequent visits author found and determinated 117 species of vascular plants, which is a sign of relatively high biodiversity. Finally using of school ground is compared with school book and key competences. Plans and suggestions for future improvements are given. Five work sheets with methodic suggestions are included.
Possibility of Using Method Persona Dolls in Primary School

The thesis devotes to innovative approaches at the elementary school level and is focused on an education method designed to counter prejudice Persona Dolls. The thesis describes theoretical foundations of the above mentioned method and its contribution to the developmentof students'key competences focused on the communicative competence.The theoretical part of the thesis futher discusses the possible uses of the method Persona Dolls in achieving education goals according to the Framework curriculum, especially focusing on cross-sectional topics. The research part is devoted to investigation of teachers'experience with this method. The author finds out how often and in what ways a particular teacher involves the method of Persona Dolls in his teaching. Primarily, the research investigates the rate of interconnection between the content of cross-sectional topics and topics of this method lessons with relation to ways of planning Persona Dolls lesson by individual teachers. A partial research objective is to evaluate the development of students'communicative competence while using Persona Dolls method. Objectives of the framework curriculum in the practice of art education

This thesis deals with analysis of the Framework Educational Program for Elementary Education (FEP EE) and finding means to meet the objectives of FEP EE in art education which leads to a concept of seventh grade curriculum. Thesis also reflects the author's personal approach to the formulation of the contents of the curriculum. The theoretical part focuses on examining the FEP EE and finding means to meet objectives in the form of curriculum concept for the seventh grade. The findings of the theoretical part is complemented by comparison of curricular documents for art subjects of Czech Republic and Great Britain. The empirical part describes the procedures for defining the curriculum concept. It includes transmission analysis of the FEP EE objectives to the content of the curriculum, which is based primarily on teaching practice. Analysis is followed by personal perception of the FEP EE requirements in the form of teaching aimed at the creating process and by description of the analyzing process of author`s teaching in connection with the FEP EE concept exploration at selected elementary schools. Teacher Interaction Style in Connection with His Work with the Key Competence for Learning

The aim of this master thesis is to discover correlation trends between teacher interaction style and his extent of providing opportunities for teaching how to learn. According to the results the aim is to create a prototype of the teacher interaction style, who has got the best dispositions to provide opportunities for teaching how to learn. The first and the second chapter deal with theoretical basis. Key competences, especially key competence for learning are depicted in the first chapter. The second chapter focuses on a topic of pedagogical communication and interaction and it is concluded with a discussion of the interaction style of the teacher. All the details on this research are described in the third chapter. The methodology is topped with the results, discussions and the overall finish. At the end of the work the bibliographic references, attachments, lists of figures and tables are revealed.
Integrated Thematic Instruction in The Step by Step educational programme

My theses called "Intergrated thematic instruction" in the "Step by Step programme" describes, analyses and evaluates the usage of Integrated Thematic Instruction (ITI) on the 1st level of the primary school. ITI is considered like one of the possibilities of the realisation of the educational content which is delimited by General Educational Programme which broad interpretation offers to this realisation. My theses is devided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with the analysis of the educational content in regard with the schoolwork integration. Besides the integration itself, my theses also deals with thematic teaching and integrated thematic teaching in curriculated documents. My theses also refers to integrated thematic teaching in modification of the "Step by Step programme" and tries to limit ITI in the project teaching background. The integral component of the theoretical part is also a part devoted to the key competences and their acquisition. I focus on the components monitoring of the brain compatible environment during the real practical teaching in the "Step by Step programme". Development of Key Competencies in Teaching of Natural Science in the Primary School Stage in the Waldorf School System

This thesis deals with the development of key competencies in teaching of Natural Science in the primary school stage in the system of Waldorf School. The theoretical part of the thesis expounds on the issues of the transformation of education as well as the characteristics of teaching in the system of Waldorf School. Some terms, such as - key competencies, the transformation of education, alternative trends in education, Waldorf pedagogy and its role in transforming education - are explained there. The research part of the thesis presents an action research, which is focused on the development of the key competencies in the epoch of Natural Science in the third grade of Waldorf School. One of the epochs was described by observation. The results of observations were compared by means of additional questionnaires, which were filled out by teachers. The development of the key competencies in the given epoch was described by the analysis of research. The results of the research confirmed that the educational strategy for the development of the key competencies in Waldorf School was at a very good level. Communication competences in kindergarten curriculum

The thesis focuses on a concept of communicative competences in the curricula at the stage of pre-school education and introduces the possibilities of development of these competences in kindergarten. The theoretical part outlines issues of curriculum, key competences and communicative competences in the context of pre-primary education. The research is a presentation of qualitative-quantitative research, which aimed to analyze the concept of communicative competences in the curricula of kindergartens and based on direct observation to find out, how kindergarten teachers meet the communicative competences at this stage of education, how to diagnose them and what opportunities provides kindergarten environment to develop pre-school children communication competences. Based on the analysis of curriculum documents of selected kindergartens we found that schools include communicative competences in their conceptual materials and attach great importance to them, even if these documents have different content and formal level. Subject Matters for Geography Teaching in the Second Stage of the Primary School with the Focus on Key Competences

The diploma thesis suggests methods and forms of geography teaching in the second stage of the primary school aimed at the theme of quality of life. The themes of the suggested subject matters are the influence of the environment on quality of life of people, difference in quality of life in rural and urban areas, comprehension of the concept of quality of life and quality of life of the elderly. The concept of quality of life is situated into the context of the Framework Education Programme for Basic Education and the chosen curriculum of Základní Škola pod Svatou Horou in Příbram. Didactic evaluation of the given topic in chosen textbooks of geography for the second stage of primary schools is a part of the thesis. The theoretical concept based on expertise literature is connected with themes of Didactics, cross-curricular approaches, key competences, methods and forms of teaching. The research surveying pupil's problem-solving competence focused on the topic of quality of life is realized among 28 pupils and 11 teachers by way of questionnaire survey.
