Šuhajová, Klára ; Osvaldová, Barbora (advisor) ; Halada, Jan (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with comparison of regular sections of "tramping" magazine Tramp, published between the World War I and the World War II (so called the First Czechoslovak Republic period), and a modern magazine Puchejř. (Tramping in Czech and Slovak language describes a movement incorporating woodcraft, hiking/backpacking/camping and scouting, with a characteristic flavour of and styled on American culture, especially Wild West). Forms of the First Czechoslovak Republic "tramping" and present movement differ in many ways. I expected, that due to these differences, the content of these magazines from different periods will be divergent. The task of this thesis is to find and compare these differences. The thesis consists of two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with differences between the historical and present form of "tramping" itself, and "tramping" magazines. Practical part examines the articles in regular sections of magazine Tramp and magazine Puchejř using the method of content analysis. The 22nd volume of the magazine Puchejř and the first six numbers of the 3rd volume of the magazine Tramp were used as research samples. The research confirmed the hypothesis. It was partly proved, that the articles of regular sections of researched magazines are...

The aim of this thesis is to analyse narrative strategies in the texts of the feature genre in two periodicals. Feature genre is longer genre of journalistic (opinion) character regularly used in printed world media, especially magazines. It is a genre which combines elements of two genres - report and analytical article. The choice is influenced by the fact that the chief editor of Respekt claims the medium to be inspired by New Yorker. The research method of the work is narrative analysis. Analysed categories are then narrator, focalization, description of a character and a alternating of the report and contextual parts of the feature genre. An important part of the work is analysis of intentionality of the use of certain type of narrators and focalization. Some of the narrative strategies, types of narrators and focalization used in the context of the journalistic texts influence the degree of objectivity/subjectivity of the narrative. Through analysis the comparison of the feature genre in Czech and Anglo-American journals is made, how they differ and what they have in common.

Protectorate magazines and attachments of daily press for children and youth as a tool of Nazi propaganda
Suk, Pavel ; Köpplová, Barbara (advisor) ; Gebhart, Jiří (referee) ; Jiroušek, Bohumil (referee)
The work attempts to analyze manifestations and the possible impact of Nazi propaganda in two stages of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. As to daily press the children's annex of Národní politika (National Politics -the most widely read periodical) and Lidové noviny (People's Press - a prestigious and independent newspaper close to the Castle during 1st Republic) have been analyzed. As to periodicals published during the first phase of the protectorate (until the arrest of Prime Minister Alois Eliáš in September 1941) the magazine Mladý hlasatel (Young Announcer) and Dětská neděle (Children's Sunday Magazine) which began to be published in 1935 were chosen and analyzed. The second phase of the protectorate was tightly associated with the establishment and existence of the Curatorium for Education of Bohemian and Moravian Youth and therefore its periodicals Zteč (Charge), Správný kluk (Good Boy) and Dívčí svět (Girl's world) were analyzed together with Knihovna pro mládež (Youth Library) issued by the Curatorium later. The work's objective is to display ways of Nazi propaganda targeted at children and teenagers under 18 years of age. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
