Confrontation of work of photoeditors in selected Czech and American Newspapers

Graduation thesis entitled "Confrontation of work of photo editors in selected Czech and American periodicals" discusses the important profession of photo editors in the Czech Republic and the United States and attempts to compare it in these two different countries. In the first part I would like to briefly outline the history of photojournalism in the Czech Republic and the United States and describe the aspects which influenced it during two centuries. In the next chapter I focus on notions, since not everyone is familiar with the position and powers of newspaper photo editors, and the types of photographs the journalism operates with. Here I explain the emergence of the profession which is much younger than actual photojournalism. In the research section I want to - through the use of interviews with several professional photographers and photo editors - explain the various procedures and newsroom routines. I focus mainly on the habits and processes, that go before the capturing the photograph, and subsequent decision-making process in selecting images for the newspapers. I also briefly compare the problems of education and training in the field of visual journalism. Codification of law in France under the First Empire The purpose of my thesis is to analyze genesis of preparation of six codes in France, to explain all influences and to show importance of this codification for the rest of the world. The scope of my thesis research is wider than just a description of codification works between years 1804-1815. The first part of this work explores the basis for codification. Sources of law, roman law, natural law, age of enlightenment, Declaration of the Rights and of the Citizens and legislative procedure under the First empire. The second part is composed of five chapters. Chapter one describes French Civil code promulgated in 1804. This chapter is composed of following subchapters: genesis of codification between years 1789-1804, the major figures of codification, systematics, related laws, selected paragraphs of Civil code and language quality. Chapter two is about Code of civil procedure (Code de procedure civile, 1806). It is composed of three subchapters: genesis, systematic and characteristics of this code. Chapter three describes Commercial Code (Code de commerce, 1807). This chapter includes genesis of commercial law from 16th century. This thesis is to describe and evaluate the Needles & syrretes exchange programme, which is provided for the intravenous drug users. This work outlines the origin of such programmes in the world and in the Czech republic and it also describes the negative impacts of sharing the syringe material and the most intravenously abused drug in the Czech republic. The thesis elaborates the Needles exchange programme and it's implementation in the o.s. Sananim with an emphasis on specific methods and procedures. The practical part of this thesis uses interviews with the Exchange programme clients to evaluate client's satisfaction, programme utilization and possible negative ouverruns. Functional disorders of motion system, their diagnosis and therapy- lumbar spine

The aim of my bachelors work was to describe the formation of functional disorders of the motion system in details in the theoretical part. There have also been described the most commonly used methods of therapy of the functional disorders. For each individual method of therapy are given the theoretical principles of the method, indications and contraindications, examples of exercises and practice exercises, advantages and disadvantages of the method. In the practical part was performed clinical examination and then was developed casuistry in selected patient. Patients were selected in the Department of Rehabilitative Medicine. Therapy was conducted with two patiens one and half months. Each patient had six respectively seven therapies. In the beginning patients were examined, then was conducted therapy in which were used methods described in the theoretical part. Therapy was finished by final examination and evaluation of the patiens.

Research part reveals number of respondents, affected by stresss at the time of myocardial infarction and respondents with type A behavior.

The Garden Town of Barrandov

The thesis "Zahradní město Barrandov" (Garden City Barrandov) focuses on the emergence and subsequent development of the district in Prague, which is still popular today, until the period of the Second World War. The aim of the work was to depict and describe not only the initial plan of the building engineer Václav Maria Havel, the single author, builder and investor of the garden city, but also to investigate events related to the subsequent implementation of the plan. The materials and information have been retrieved mainly from the recollections by Václav Maria Havel summed up in the book entitled Mé vzpomínky (My Memories) and from testimonies by his contemporaries. Also used were the following primary sources: building designs, period leaflets, advertising broadsheets published by Obchodní kancelář (the Business Office of Barrandov), photographs and contemporary periodicals. Secondary sources focusing on interwar architecture and building trade in general, as well as suggestions by experts in the field, were also of help.

Issues of tourism development in the Moravian-Silesian Region

The aim of this work is to analyze the potential of the Moravian-Silesian Region in the field of tourism development, to describe the activities of regional authority of the Moravian-Silesian Region, approximate the most important projects and strategies to tourism development in the region and identify regional cooperation with the private sector. Regional authority of the Moravian-Silesian Region excersices a wide range of activities to promote tourism in the region and recognizes the revenue from this sector and creates new jobs, which is for the region very important now. The Moravian-Silesian region is perceived very negatively in the eyes of many citizens of the Czech Republic, and one of the objectives of this work is to change this view.

Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union and the Outlook for the Future

This bachelor thesis is focused on Common agricultural policy of European Union (CAP EU). The theoretical part is divided into four chapters. The first chapter describes beginning and development of CAP, presents reasons for creating of CAP and describes the development of how CAP in history. The second chapter is focused on the functionality of CAP and provides more detailed look on its principles. It is dedicated to the CAP's mechanism and instruments that aids to fulfil its functionality. The third chapter is mapping particular reforms of CAP. The development of the Czech agriculture is described in the last chapter of theoretical part. It deals with fact, that the Czech agriculture is a part of European agriculture. The practical part has two main charters. The first half is focused on development of number of cattle in Czech republic and in France from 1990 to 2007. I have chosen those two countries because of the contrast in their situation. The development of cattle quantity is analyzed using apparatus of statistical instrument of time series. The second half of practical part describes development of expenditures on CAP and a historical development of it's portion in EU budget.

Outsourcing of labour recruitment

The aim of the project is to introduce the reader to the world of possibilities, advantages and disadvantages of current outsourcing, to highlight the factors limiting the use of outsourcing and the risks. Practical example then tries to introduce the reader to the creation and the process of the outsourcing relationship and to define the benefits and limitations resulting from the outsourcing of labour recruitment as part of personnel work.
