Hodnocení Výsledků Fuzzy Shlukování
Říhová, Elena ; Pecáková, Iva (advisor) ; Řezanková, Hana (referee) ; Žambochová, Marta (referee)
Cluster analysis is a multivariate statistical classification method, implying different methods and procedures. Clustering methods can be divided into hard and fuzzy; the latter one provides a more precise picture of the information by clustering objects than hard clustering. But in practice, the optimal number of clusters is not known a priori, and therefore it is necessary to determine the optimal number of clusters. To solve this problem, the validity indices help us. However, there are many different validity indices to choose from. One of the goals of this work is to create a structured overview of existing validity indices and techniques for evaluating fuzzy clustering results in order to find the optimal number of clusters. The main aim was to propose a new index for evaluating the fuzzy clustering results, especially in cases with a large number of clusters (defined as more than five). The newly designed coefficient is based on the degrees of membership and on the distance (Euclidean distance) between the objects, i.e. based on principles from both fuzzy and hard clustering. The suitability of selected validity indices was applied on real and generated data sets with known optimal number of clusters a priory. These data sets have different sizes, different numbers of variables, and different numbers of clusters. The aim of the current work is regarded as fulfilled. A key contribution of this work was a new coefficient (E), which is appropriate for evaluating situations with both large and small numbers of clusters. Because the new validity index is based on the principles of both fuzzy clustering and hard clustering, it is able to correctly determine the optimal number of clusters on both small and large data sets. A second contribution of this research was a structured overview of existing validity indices and techniques for evaluating the fuzzy clustering results.

Význam mimoprodukční vegetace ve vinohradnictví
Konečková, Jana
This bachelor thesis was written at the Faculty of Horticulture in Lednice, at the department of Vegetable growing and Floriculture. Thesis deals with the non-productive vegetation in viticulture and its significance. Subthemes are elaborated in the chapters which cover the idea of organic farming, greening the vineyards and discusses the composition of herbs in greening mixtures available on the market. The aim of the survey was to find what commercial mixtures are used by winemakers and what their experience is. The thesis includes a comprehensive insight into planting vineyards. Generally known aspects which influence the way and method used in vineyard planting are taken into consideration.

Perioperative prognostic factors in breast cancer
Černá, Monika ; Třeška, Vladislav (advisor) ; Gaťek, Jiří (referee) ; Šiller, Jiří (referee) ; Jandík, Pavel (referee)
Introduction: Breast cancer still remains the most common malignancy in women and its incidence is slowly increasing. A marked reduction of mortality has been achieved in the last 10 years thanks to modern diagnostic methods, mammary screening, and comprehensive and targeted cancer therapy. Modern diagnostic capabilities not only allow early diagnosis of a primary tumor lesion and precise determination of its biological nature before commencing treatment, but they also enable early diagnosis of local and regional recidives, including diagnosis of metastases in distant organs. In addition to clinical examination, conventional and complementary imaging examinations and tumor markers our objective was to determine the importance and use of growth factors in relation to the overall prognosis. The growth factors physiologically act already during the ontogenetic period when they control cell growth, proliferation, differentiation and apoptotic processes. It is known that they take part in the tumor growth processes which are characterized by autonomous behavior, increased proliferative activity, distinct differentiation activity and reduced apoptosis. Growth factors work as autoregulation factors in the neoplastic process as well as through their paracrine effects mediated by more or less specific receptors....

Gaspar Noé
Sláma, David ; Ulver, Stanislav (advisor) ; Mravcová, Marie (referee)
This diploma thesis aims to analyze and interpret the entire filmography of the Argentinian-born (1963) film-maker Gaspar Noe. It takes into account not only such well-known, critically acclaimed, and controversially received films as Seul contre tous (1998) and Irréversible (2002), but also Noe's short movies, commercial spots, and music videos. The thesis examines the central themes of Noe's cinema, among them, the relationship between sexuality and violence, revenge and its consequences, the individual standing against society. It describes in detail Noe's film language, traces the development of that language, and suggests where to look in the history of film for material that sheds light on the work of this remarkable French film-maker.

The children with visual handicap and pre-school education
Fibrová, Eva ; Šumníková, Pavlína (referee) ; Mrkosová, Eva (advisor)
The children with visual handicap are the same as the healthy children. They have the same basic physical, psychical and feeling needs. Yet in addition, they have got special educational needs caused by their handicap. If they grow up in a good, stimulating and friendly surrounding, with suitable education program and global tyflopedic care, a lot of them can successfully join other adults in the society. We perceive our surrounding with all senses. The sense analyzers are working in inseparable mutuality. We can touch if vision is impossible. The sense of touch is spread all over our body, so we are feeling something continuously. We are attracted or repulsed by different materials. The sense of hearing is interpreting information about our surroundings. We can close our eyes, but hearing perceives all the time. Also the sense of smelling transfers messages from places wee cannot see. Well known smell can cause us to remember some images from our memory. Taste aids our imagination in the same way. Correctly performed sense exercises are the key issue in the integration of the children with visual handicap info the human society. The basic idea of the sense exercises is training the healthy senses to be able to compensate and reeducate missing or damaged vision.

Criminal defences in Czech and Irish criminal law
Kubíčková, Tereza ; Vokoun, Rudolf (advisor) ; Bohuslav, Lukáš (referee)
Criminal defences in Czech and Irish criminal law This thesis deals with the analysis of individual elements of criminal defences under the Czech and Irish criminal legal statutes with respect to the conclusions, which are therefrom drawn in theory and practice. The aim of this thesis is to render an overview concerning the distinctions and similarities in understanding, importance and operating of the defences in different law systems, rather than to present an exhaustive commentary on all legal institutes which exclude illegality and as such come into mind. Regarding the fact that Czech and Irish systems of law are subsumed under different legal systems, particular institutes of criminal defences cannot be based on the same rules, principles and theoretical grounds. It shall be noted, that while Czech criminal law is mainly to be found in a single piece of legislation known as the Criminal Law Act, Irish criminal law on the other hand not only has a separate statutory legislation, but also mainly depends on common law. The subject has been processed under consideration of the present-day legal regulation, whereas particular legal institutes are structured in compliance with the structure of the Czech Criminal Law Act. The topics of origin and development of defences has intentionally not been...

Genetic and clinical aspects of the restless legs syndrome
Pavlíčková, Jana ; Kemlink, David (advisor) ; Seeman, Pavel (referee) ; Martásek, Pavel (referee)
Introduction: The Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS) is a frequent neurological disorder with a prevalence ranging from 5 - 10%. RLS is characterized by an urge to move the lower extremities during the night, thus RLS causes sleep disturbance. It presents as both idiopathic and secondary form. Idiopathic RLS is associated with common genetic variants in MEIS1, BTBD9, PTPRD and MAP2K5/SCOR1. Recently, multiple sclerosis (MS) was identified as a common cause for secondary RLS, the prevalence of RLS in patients with MS ranges from 13.3 to 37.5%. The aim of our study was to analyse the clinical and genetic aspects of this disorder, especially in patients with multiple sclerosis. In the clinical part, we evaluated the prevalence of RLS among Czech patients with MS and we compared the extent of brain damage between patients with and without RLS using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). In the genetic part, we further analysed the impact of known genetic variants (MEIS1, BTBD9, MAP2K5/SCOR1, PTPRD) for RLS in other European populations and in patients with MS. Methods: Clinical part: Each patient with MS underwent a semi-structured interview. A patient was considered to be affected by RLS if he/she met all four standard criteria at life- long interval. Lesion load (LL - T2), brain atrophy - T1 and brain...
