Kloz, Ondřej ; Mičúch, Marek (advisor) ; Potužák, Pavel (referee)
This bachelor thesis answers the question, whether joining the European monetary union and adopting the common currency euro has influence on price level development. The main idea is based on the loss of ability to adjust competitiveness of the country through the nominal exchange rate. In that situation, every country is forcing to reach the real appreciation or depreciation by change of price level. Consequences of this change are the most obvious at the beginning of the economic crisis in 2007. Core of this thesis consists to research of aggregated and disaggregated price development, which refers to continuous harmonization of price growth, but it also refers to large disharmony of economic development of less developed countries in monetary union. In last part we are concerned with competitiveness development, which confirms delayed impact of price level, but it confirms also significant loss of competitiveness of fast converging members of the monetary union.

Unemployment in Ireland
Vosecká, Michaela ; Holubec, Stanislav (referee) ; Tichá, Milena (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to give an overview about unemployment. There are some reasons for this topic. First of all, it is the fact that unemployment is a very serious problem; secondly, only a good knowledge about it can help us to solve it. The first step to understand the phenomenon of unemployment was being aware of what it really means. Secondly, we had to know why unemployment origins. Then, the kinds of unemployment were introduced and explained. Finally, the thesis focused on the way two main economic schools look at unemployment and how their attitudes towards it can be seen in real politics. That was all for the theoretical part. I have chosen Ireland for the practical part because it is a country very similar to ours (considering the size) and their unemployment rate was 10.4% lower in the year 2000 than in 1991. The surveys of single unemployment rates confirmed the idea that the main reason for this incredible decrease was investments into human sources. In other words, these caused the starting up of the economy and attracted foreign investments which finally led to the previous mentioned low unemployment rate.

Design of armchair for hairdressing
Nečasová, Barbora ; Buganská, Tamara (referee) ; Zvonek, Miroslav (advisor)
This thesis aims to design a modern innovative hairdresser chair. The main innovation of the proposal is seen in the new interior arrangement with a washing component as a central point. The main idea of the whole work is to design such a hairdresser chair that would supersede all other chairs normally used in hairdressing salons. All activities concerned with the hair care (washing, trimming, colouring etc.) would be done on a sole chair that would be in the case of need placed to the washing component. By reclining the chair backrest and turning the washing component a client’s hair could be easily washed (or other functions that need water tap could be done). There are several advantages within this proposal. Primarily it offers fewer chairs in hair dressing salon as well as a more variable interior. Another positive feature is that the washing component can be used more economically when it serves to more seats. Finally, the visual aspect and shape interconnection of two basic components - washing basin and hairdresser’s chair - are innovative.
