Effect of admixtures on the properties of metakaolin geopolymer
Halasová, Kristýna ; Vyšvařil, Martin (referee) ; Rovnaník, Pavel (advisor)
Geopolymers are amorphous to semi-crystalline aluminosilicate polymers which are formed from inorganic polycondensation reaction of a solid aluminosilicate precursor with an alkaline sodium hydroxide or silicate. The resulting materials exhibit high durability, resistance to aggressive environments, high temperature resistance and many other properties that make them have received much attention in recent years, not only in construction. This thesis describes the influence of additives commonly used in concrete and mortar (water reducing, superplasticizer, air-entraining, foamer and defoamer, anti-shrinkage, stabilization) on the behavior of metakaolin in geopolymer fresh and hardened state. It describes metakaolin geopolymer effect on rheological properties of fresh mixtures, compressive strength and flexural strength after 28 days and a density in the fresh and hardened state.

Agency work
Kořínková, Lenka ; Pichrt, Jan (advisor) ; Hůrka, Petr (referee)
Agency Employment This thesis is focused on Agency Employment in the Czech Republic. The aim of this paper is to analyze current legislation of this issue and to highlight its potential shortcomings. The thesis is divided into seven chapters. The First chapter focuses on general characteristics of agency employment. The essence of agency work is a tripartite legal relationship arising between the temporary agency, its employee and the user. Within this relationship temporary work agency assigns the employee to perform work for the user. The Second chapter discusses the sources of legislation on temporary agency work and is divided into two subchapters. In the subchapter entitled "International legal sources", the work deals with the ILO Private Employment Agencies Convention No. 181. The following subchapter entitled "The Community legislation on temporary agency work" is gradually focusing on three important directives of the European Communities - directive No. 91/383/EEC supplementing the measures to encourage improvements in the safety and health at work of workers with a fixed-duration employment relationship or a temporary employment relationship; directive No. 96/71/EC on the posting of workers in the framework of the provision of services; and directive No. 2008/104/EC on temporary agency...

Comparison of Czech-American and American-Czech cultural standards in study environment
Strouhalová, Markéta ; Křečková Kroupová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Zadražilová, Dana (referee)
Nowadays, exchange programs are becoming increasingly popular among students all over the world. Thanks to high-quality education, the United States are much desired destination, the Czech Republic attracts Americans with its great location in the heart of Europe and rich history. Cultural values in American society are however in many respects way different from the ones we share in Czech environment. Therefore cultural shock can appear when a student decides to move to another country in order to study there. Understanding cultural differences is essential for successful interaction with local individuals. The main topic of this thesis is the concept of cultural standards defined by Alexander Thomas, applied on university study environment in the Czech Republic and the USA. The aim was to identify Czech-American cultural standards in the study environment from the perspective of Czech university students who studied in the US at least for one semester and US-Czech cultural standards from the perspective of students from the USA. Identified standards were then compared with theoretical conclusions from research of cultural dimensions done by Fons Trompenaars and Geert Hofstede. At the end, recommendations are written for students of both nationalities, which should help them to integrate into foreign environment and eliminate potential culture shock.

Spanish Constitutional Development in the 19th Century
Mlezivová, Markéta ; Seltenreich, Radim (advisor) ; Horák, Záboj (referee)
Constitutonal development of Spain in 19th century I have chosen this topic in particular because I am interested in Spanish culture and history. I have focused in my thesis on constitutional development of Spain in 19th century that was essential not only for Spain itself but also for the rest of Europe because Spanish constitution from year 1812 has become a paragon for many European countries. My goal was to capture political-social conditions on Iberian peninsula in 19th century and historical circumstances leading to acceptance of individual constitutions. The thesis is divided into chapters, each of which refers to one constitution, or a draft of one, in a chronological order. Chapters are divided into sections that explain approach to outstanding topics such as scale and extent of individual state powers, monarch's power, political institutions, concept of suffrage and human rights and freedoms. For Spanish society was typical social stratification and persisting feudalism, strong influence of the Church and the nobility. The whole 19th century was affected by conflicts between conservatives and liberals. While conservatives were defending their historical privileges and were denying attempts on revolutional reform, the liberals were claiming equality of all citizens before the law,...

Support of management decision-making on transport networks
Přibyl, Vladimír ; Černý, Jan (advisor) ; Kavička, Antonín (referee) ; Peško, Štefan (referee)
The presented thesis is focused on a set of problems related to managerial decision-making concerning networks (particularly transportation networks), respectively - if we put it more precisely - the thesis focuses on the support of this decision-making by means of quantitative methods. A set of problems related to nets and decision-making concerning their individual parts or elements represents a very complex sphere which has been a subject of research for a number of decades. Out of this sphere, the thesis formulates and elaborates in great detail two problems, which - from the point of view of their practical significance - are important for the decision-making of managers of carriers, or the public sphere, and which have not been published in this form yet. The main point is the problem of how to find a subnet with a limited prolongation of routes between important pairs of vertices. Another problem is a design of a bus route in an area with a low demand. For each of these problems, the thesis offers an exact combinatorial solution method, furthermore a method based on integer linear programming, and - last but not least - also, of course, heuristic methods of solution. All these methods have been tested on a set of networks, which has been created for this purpose in a pseudo-random way in the frame of this thesis. The testing has been focused primarily on the comparison of the results provided by heuristic methods, which are of great importance - with regard to a great computational difficulty of exact methods - for feasible tasks on a larger scale. The tests have proved that the proposed heuristic methods are practically applicable and show results whicheven represent the optimal solution in a number of cases, or are only slightly distant from the optimal solution.

Implementation of the ECM system in a small company with a focus on technical documentation
Lisová, Martina ; Novotný, Ota (advisor) ; Stuchlý, Petr (referee)
The content of this bachelor thesis is the introduction of Enterprise Content Management to companies, enabling them to have all their documents organized, easily retrievable without having to deal with duplication or redundancy of some documents. This thesis is primarily focused on the technical documentation. For the bachelor thesis a specific company was selected in which the problem of technical documentation was analysed, and solutions using its implementation were suggested. The thesis could be divided into four parts. The first part deals with the introduction of ECM system, its components and the detailed description of its most important component - the Document Management System. The second part is devoted to the characteristics of the selected company for which a solution in the implementation part of this thesis is proposed. This section also describes the technical documentation and its creation. In the third part the problem of technical documentation in the company is analysed and requirements for compliant management system for the technical documentation are set out. Finally, the solution using Alfresco One product is proposed and this product is presented. The last part is focused on the implementation of Alfresco and its pilot settings according to the requirements of the company. The solution was subsequently presented to the company. This part is ended with the evaluation, which is based on the feedback from the employees of the company who have seen the proposal.

The cultural context of the national monument on Vítkov Hill. The problem of the artistic expression and interpretation of the values and ideas
Hessová, Jana ; Matějů, Martin (referee) ; Czumalo, Vladimír (advisor)
The idea behind the National Monument was to build the statue to Jan Žižka, the legendary czech warrior, whose fight for freedom of religion was taken as the symbol for the czech nationalism in the 19s century. In the year 1882 a Society to Erect a Monument to Jan Žižka of Trocnov on the Žižka's hill was formed in a nearly restaurant. From that moment to really erection the Žižka statue was almost seventy years long period of history, filled by political and social changes, which also have marked the monument, as well as its perceiving in the public. Nowadays, the yang generation born in 80.s and growing up in freedom, do not follow the beckground ideas of this buildig and the statue is for them only a bizar piece of art work. But hier is not the comlet divide between this generation and the national history. It will be very important for the czech National Museum to work out a quality program of this buildig, because it is hier the bigest amout of potencional visitors ever - the whole Czech nation.

Philosophical Aspects in the Literary Work of W. Borcherts

Invasive water invertebrates in Czech Republic
Kolářová, Lucie ; Tátosová, Jolana (advisor) ; Dočkalová, Kateřina (referee)
An introduction of invasive species is considered to be one of the most actual problems of these days and is also related with water environment and water invertebrates. Occurences of many non-native species has been recorded in waters of the Czech Republic and these species can be divided into two groups. Species of the first group are invasive alien species - their ecological patterns (e.g. high growing rates, high reproductive capacity or ability to transfer exotic diseases) make their spreading more successful. North-American crayfish species (Orconectes limosus and Pacifastacus leniusculus), Dreissena polymorpha or Dikerogammarus villosus are the typical representatives of this group. The spreading of these species is very remarkable, since their introduction causes many harmful effects and has negative impacts on native fauna. However, the appearance of other group of water invertebrates has been found in our waters. These are also non-indigenous species, but their spreading is very inconspicuous - they do not reach high population densities and their invasion does not cause negative impacts on native fauna and ecosystems. The evidence of these harmless invasive species has been recorded thanks to the monitoring programs and we possibly wouldn't know about them without this monitoring. The...
