Accountability of Public and Private Elementary School

The bachelor's thesis deals with the school accountability. It explores accountability as a phenomenon that exists but it is not explicitly expressed and systematically integrated into the process of managerial control in Czech school. The work summarizes the gained knowledge and approaches to accountability in Czech and foreign environment and their links with the school management in general. The aim of qualitative research is to contribute to the expansion of scientific knowledge in this area. There are identified external subjects of public and private schools in the case study, their main interests which are subsequently compared. The work is intended for school directors; bringing a more detailed view on demands of external subjects, both public and private schools, offering specific procedures and recommendations to school management, which can be considered as an accountable proceeding to external subjects. Hidden curriculum and the possibility to influence it from different levels of the organizational structure

In the theoretical part of this thesis research concepts curriculum and hidden curriculum. The following is a list of managerial functions that influence hidden curriculum music school. The following contains areas for specific training in music schools. In the empirical part is based on data found in the research questionnaire survey and the data obtained in the interviews that were conducted on a random sample of respondents from among the directors, representatives, department heads and teachers of music schools. The aim of the research is to compare whether and to what extent the respondents were involved in activities that may affect the hidden curriculum in the music school. Activities affecting the hidden curriculum of various organizational positions were determined on the basis of interviews with respondents in the pilot study. The work provides an interpretation of the curriculum and the hidden curriculum. Searches concepts was based on the use of our and foreign literature. Following are sorted managerial activities related to the management of the curriculum in music schools.
Evaluation and Auto-evaluation - theory, practice, contexts. With specialize in the leadership

The central theme of this thesis is auto-evaluation or self-evaluation of the school. The author discusses this issue in a comprehensive concept and interrelations - from theory to practice. He presents a fixed theoretical foundation, as well as analysis and interpretation of results from field mapping to professionals and practitioners. He offers to schools methodological guidelines for auto-evaluation activities. It also includes analysis of legislative framework, the discussion of the risks associated with auto-evaluation processes and current developments and planned changes (as of May 2011) in this area. Particular attention is devoted to the role of managers in schools in the autoevaluation process and its planning, organization and management. In detail, the author deals with some methods that can be used well in practice. The thesis is based on the current state of auto-evaluation of the Czech primary and secondary schools. It tries to grasp the issue in the broadest view. It also aims to provide schools the seizable platform of evaluation and auto-evaluation. Presented text adds on the topic new views, attitudes and perceptions.
Primary school management in the transition to grammar school dabing the 5th and 7 th grades

In the introductory part of the final bachelor thesis the theoretical basis are described. These are the ones that school management can rely on when influencing the decision-making process of pupils and their legal representatives whether to change to grammar school or whether pupil's education will remain at the existing primary school. The practical part of the paper deals with finding motifs when leaving to grammar schools is considered, in other words, reasons why pupils remain at primary schools. Moreover, it provides recommendations for school management to influence these decisions.
Education Management Role in Establishing and Managing the School Consulting Department

Final thesis deals with the role and status of guidance services in educational process in elementary school, the role of managers in the implementation and coordination of counselling services at school and their contribution to managing the work of management schools. This work deals with the theoretical explanation of the conceptual plans of the school advisory services, consulting service models in primary schools and finally focuses on the goals and activities of school counselling work and his contribution to the educational work of schools. Attention is paid to the integration of the school counselling department management in the conceptual work of the school guidance staff teamwork and cooperation with other school teachers. This work is based on literature and the information it obtained from the probes and knowledge and experience of the author, the results can be applied to control the activities of managers.
Evaluation as an effective tool of school management

The process of evaluation and self-evaluation is one of the effective means of maintaining and improving the quality of educational activities. This thesis deals with the theme of quality and evaluation. Key concepts are explained and defined, executive role in the development of quality is formulated and basic parts of the strategic quality plan are introduced. Further, objectives of self-evaluation and phases of the process are named and explained. Methods for detecting climate of the educational process, resources and school management are described and analyzed. Research methods of observation, questionnaires and structured interviews are required to ensure the principle of triangulation. All inquiries are carried out in cooperation with the management of specific schools and teaching staff. Observed data is analyzed and expressed conclusions will be discussed with the school management. This will provide valuable information that might be used by the school management personnel in other phases of a qualified school-as-an-educational institution management in order to ensure efficient decision-making process.
