Kozojed, Petr ; Bobková, Lenka (advisor) ; Čechura, Jaroslav (referee)
This thesis focuses on the history of the the family of knights Kaplíř of Sulevice. It covers a period from the first reference to this family before the half of the 14th century until the death of the last male member in the lineage at the beginning of the 18th century. The family Kaplíř of Sulevice belongs among significant members of the estate of Czech knights. In the course of the 14th and at the beginning of the 15th century the members of the family built up their property structure and that time there were 5 descents formed: descent of Sulevice, descent of Ostrý, descent of Solany, descent of Skalka-Řehlovice and descent of Vimperk. Thanks to the Hussite period the knights of Sulevice, the men of great enterprise, succeeded in penetrating more significantly even beyond boundaries of their own estates. The half of the 15th century was marked with certain stagnation (except the descent of Vimperk) which, on the contrary, was in their prime.

Graphemics in the German documents of Václav IV 1379-1399
Bartůňková, Alena ; Ebelová, Ivana (referee) ; Vodrážková, Lenka (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is twofold. On the one hand I try to determine a system in the use of the graphemes in the documents of Vac1av IV. from the years 1379-1399 and I confront the findings with the use of the graphemes in the Middle Upper German (Mittelhochdeutsch). On the other hand, I compare these results with the use ofthe graphemes in the early Upper German (Frühneuhochdeutsch) as described in the literature, in particular in 1. T. Piirainen, V. Moser, H.Bokova, L.E. Schmitt and V.E. Mourek. The first chapter describes the period of reign of Vac1av IV as weIl as the personality ofthe ruler. The second chapter deals with the court ofVac1av IV. with a particular emphasis on the language situation at the court. Further, Vac1av IV.'s chancellery is characterized in the chapter three as apart of the court and I also shortly describe its history, structure as weIl as the competence of its members. Chapter five is devoted to documents as objects of a study; thus, first I define and c1assify different types of docurnents and second, I indicate the relevant features both in the form of the document and its content. The next chapter describes the status of the early Upper German (Fruhneuhochdeutsch) as it emerges from the literature. The seventh chapter lists the documents of Vac1av IV. between the years 13...

Zborníková, Tereza ; Nespěšná Hamsíková, Magdaléna (advisor) ; Royt, Jan (referee)
Renaissance painted epitaphs in Bohemia This bachelors work deals about renaissance painted epitaphs in Bohemia. First part speaks about the view of death of the renaissance people. Attention is paid to the books of good death or Ars Moriendi, which the society of the early new age favored, and to the burial ceremonies of the new age aristocracy. The central part of the work is devoted to the renaissance painted epitaphs that are firstly generally characterized. The very first pages of the work speak about the early epitaphs like the Epitaph of Jan z Jeřeně, Votive painting from Pšovka near Mělník, Zlíchov epitaph and an important mural painting in the monasterial church of Fourteen Saints in Kadaň. The main part is centered to the renaissance painted epitaphs in Bohemia. There the work is divided to two type lines. In the first part are described the non-Catholic epitaphs that accent the historic (biblical) and narrative-moralizing substance. Good example may be the Žerotín epitaph and the collection of works from Jáchymov. Conversely, the Catholic works are centered to the strong Marian cult and devotion to the Saints that is visible mainly on the Epitaph of Karel Kokořovec from Kokořov. There the kneeling chevalier is portrayed in his armour adoring Virgin Mary and asking for the salvation of...

Prokůpková, Eva ; Mudra, Aleš (advisor) ; Kuthan, Jiří (referee)
"PORTA COELI" CONVENT IN PŘEDKLÁŠTEŘÍ U TIŠNOVA AND WEST PORTAL OF ITS CONVENT CHURCH The Tišnov convent Porta coeli ("gateway to heaven") was probably founded in 1232 by the Czech Queen Konstancie, daughter of the Hungarian King Béla III and widow of the Czech King Przemysl Otakar I, who was greatly supported by her sons - the Czech King Wenceslas I and Moravian Margrave Przemysl. Of the church notables it was particularly Robert, bishop of Olomouc, who rendered his support during the construction of the convent. The building progressed quickly, sponsored by the prominent figures of the Przemyslid state. Earliest core of the convent was constituted by the convent church and convent buildings, cloister and chapter house, enclosing wall with a moat and defensive towers, a residential building by the entrance gate and St Kateřina's Chapel in the northwestern part of the courtyard (torn down just before the convent was closed by the Emperor Joseph II in 1782), which was finished at very earliest stage. Most important buildings of the medieval convent were built in the years 1232 - 1240. The early Gothic complex of buildings which survives basically intact today, ranks among the most valuable architectural works built in the Czech state in the second quarter of the 13th century. The convent church on...

The effects confrontation of the aerobic and yoga activities upon the cardiovascular system of the college students with the emphasison the preventive health programs and life style optimalization
KOKEŠ, Radim
The aim of this thesis is to find and compare the physical fitness level of the college students in relation to the aerobic and yoga activities. I also aimed to explore the effects of these activities on the cardiovascular system of women, and to determine the physical load improvement which could influence the health condition and lifestyle in a positive way. 237 students of the University of South Bohemia in ČeskéBudějovice participated in the research. They were 20 up to 23 years old and they were divided into two groups according to their hobbies. They underwent the two-term long physical programs - the aerobic one and the yoga one. To compare the results of these programs I used the anthropometric and motometric methods and a questionnaire as well - BMI, Ruffier´s test, T-test, Spearman´s correlation coefficient and the circadian rhythm, lifestyle, emotional state and self-image based questionnaire. The statistic analysis of gained data shows a considerable change as for the Ruffier index of physical fitness, and this is just a result of the intervention physical program use within both of the experimental groups as for the level of importance p<0,001. These results confirm the hypothesis H1 and H3 and a contributive effect on the physical fitness of the college students either. BMI of the experimental aerobic group also shows an important change as for the level of importance p<0,01. This result confirms the hypothesis H2 and the fact that the aerobic program has a contributive effect on the BMI as for the ES. As for the experimental yoga group, there were not seen any changes and therefore the hypothesis H4 was not confirmed either. The circadian rhythm questionnaire analysis shows that due to the physical stress, these students often face depressions. The gained data show a low level of cardiovascular indicators as for the entrance measurement, and a significant improvement during a regular intentional use of proper physical exercises - both aerobic and yoga ones. This is very important for the preventive health programs and the active lifestyle of women during their college studies.
