Monitoring of dear contamination by organohalogen compounds based xenobiotics
Doušová, Petra ; Stoupalová, Michaela (referee) ; Vávrová, Milada (advisor)
Various animal or vegetable origin bio-indicators are used for the assessment of the environmental contamination. The wild animals were chosen for monitoring of xenobiotic based organohalogen compounds. The district health facility staff collected the samples of wild boars in the territory of Central Bohemia. The controlled substances were isolated from the matrix by an extraction. The extraction was made by a petrolether and then it was purified by a column chromatography. A final cleansing of the extract was made by an acid hydrolysis. The determination of the selected analytes was finished by the method of gas chromatography with an electron capture detector. The results gave us basic information about the wild boar contamination of organohalogen pollutants.

This bachelor thesis gives the overview of waste water contaminants of steroid hormones type. A short description of these compounds and of their physical-chemical properties is given and sources of these substances in the environment are characterized, as well as their impact on organisms The fate of these compounds and methods used for their isolation from environmental compartments methods of their final analysis are characterized.

Mutagenic and Antimutagenic Effect of Environmental Substances
Langová, Martina ; Vodička, Pavel (advisor) ; Sedmíková, Markéta (referee) ; Novotná, Božena (referee)
In the present study were used reference mutagens which effects mutagenic activity in prokaryotic and eukaryotic testing systems. Aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) is one of the most thoroughly studied and the well known mycotoxin with carcinogenic activity. 2-Amino-3-methylimidazol[4,5-f] quinoline (IQ) in isolated form has been used as another reference mutagen. These compounds are indirect acting genotoxins, i.e. need metabolic activation to exert genotoxic effect. As a third reference mutagen in the present study there has been chosen N-nitroso-N-methylurea (MNU) which is direct acting carcinogenic N-nitroso compound. The aim of the study was to investigate antimutagenic effects of ellagic acide (EA), resveratrol (RES), diallyl sulfide (DAS) and phenetyl isothiocyanate (PEITC) on the mutagenicity of the mutagens. The Ames test with Salmonella typhimurium TA98 and TA100 strains was used for the evaluation of antimutagenic effect of EA, RES, DAS and PEITC in vitro.

Název práce, anotace a pět klíčových slov v anglickém jazyce "Existence Of Things" - creative production of Trasa group's members which came up from Emil Filla's studio Within 1948 - 1960 a process with a view to lay the foundations of communist system took its place in Czechoslovakia society. This process supposed to allow formation of inspection authorities with control all over the country. That meant a period of isolation and lack of freedom for the whole art area. In this work I am aiming at the late production of Emil Filla and his students, which came up from his studio and functioned in Trasa artistic group, particulary at Jitka Valova and Kveta Valova, Vladimir Jarcovjak, Vera Hermanska, Cestmir Kafka and Karel Vaca. Trasa group markedly participated in forming of then creative art scene and also substantially influenced its further progress. Emil Filla, Trasa, painting, 20th century, Czechoslovakia

The study of influence inositolhexaphosphate on proliferation and apoptosis in cells isolated out of colorectal cancer
Hašková, Pavlína ; Šimůnek, Tomáš (advisor) ; Rudolf, Emil (referee)
Introduction: Apoptosis - programmed cell death significantly participates in maintaining of tissue homeostasis. Its alteration is leading to cancer disease. Inositolhexaphosphate (IP6) is naturally occurring substance that is present in most legumes, cereals and seems. IP6 and its lower phosphorylated forms are also found in most mammalian cells, where they assist in regulatory a variety of important cellular function (including regulation of cell cycle). Methods: This work has been engaged in the study of influence IP6 on apoptosis in cells isolated out of colorectal cancer by in vitro quantification enzymatic activity of caspase 3 in cell extract. Results: It has proved by the Student's t-test that IP6 statistically significant influence apoptosis in cells isolated out of colorectal cancer.

Evaluation of activity of potentional antifungal substances through the use of microdilution broth method I.
Nitraiová, Jindřiška ; Paterová, Pavla (referee) ; Vejsová, Marcela (advisor)
1. Abstract Jindřiška Nitraiová Evaluation of activity of potentional antifungal substances through the use of microdilution broth method I Diplomová práce Univerzita Karlova v Praze, Farmaceutická fakulta v Hradci Králové Farmacie The aim of the thesis was a screening of activity of new potentional antifungal substances. For testing of substances was used the microdilution broth method. This method allows a routine assesment of MIC of a larger amount of antimycotics and also complete strains. The compounds for the strains Candida albicans, C. tropicalis, C. glabrata, C. krusei, Trichosporon beigelii, Aspergillus fumigatus, Absidia corymbifera a Trichophyton mentagrophytes were tested. The derivates of pyrazinedicarbamide, pyrazinedicarbothioamide, pyrazole-1- carboxylate, hydrazinecarboxylate, diazene-1,2-dicarboxamide and cyclohexanone did not show any antimycotic effectiveness. On the contrary the derivates of benzamide and benzenecarbothioamide showed a good antimycotic activity against all the testing strains. In the group of other substances, it means the derivates of pyrazinecarboxamide, pyrazinecarbothioamide, pyrazine-anilides, pyrazine-2-amine, pyrazine-2-carbohydrazide and pyrazine-2,5-dicarbonitrile and thiazolidine-4-one, some substances were effective but some had no effect. The derivates of...

Filozofická fakulta. Katedra psychologie, 2011. 104 s. Vedúci diplomovej práce Doc. PhDr. Milan Rymeš, CSc. Abstract The presented thesis focuses on the topic of psychoactive substance addictions in terms of work and organisational psychology. Specifically, we introduce these issues of dependence with people in managerial positions, and their impact on work-related functions and leadership. Besides the principal clinical contexts of addictions as biopsychosocial issues, the theoretical part of the thesis deals with the problems of stress and mental vulnerability of managers to alcohol dependency with an emphasis to problems of alcohol at the workplace. The practical part of the paper presents a screening of alcohol abuse on the sample of Czech managers. Multilinguism - learning a second foreign language
Hanušová, Alena ; Vachková, Marie (referee) ; Berglová, Eva (advisor)
The subject of this graduation thesis is "Multilinguism and Learning a Second Foreign Language". The concept of multilinguism maintains the importance of all languages, not only English, in today's multicultural world. The knowledge of mother tongue and the first foreign language can have a significant influence on learning a second foreign language. The thesis deals with the impact of these substances for teaching foreign languages. The theoretical approach to the topic of multilinguism is supported with results of a survey held at selected Czech schools.
