Depiction of media in British dystopian fiction
Bakič, Pavel ; Clark, Colin Steele (advisor) ; Pilný, Ondřej (referee)
The purpose of this thesis was to trace the depiction of media in British dystopian fiction, or rather some of its most prominent landmarks. In its course, however, a need of eclectic approach became apparent, as each novel invited a different framework of interpretation, at least partly: H. G. Wells's The Sleeper Awakes fuses mythological elements with very current exploration of self-definition in the world of freely circulating media images, A. Huxley's Brave New World presents electronic media as dangerous to the proper balance of individual faculties of the human mind, G. Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-Four prophesizes the destruction of an individual by ever-escalating state control of media, made possible by technological progress. A. Moore's and D. Lloyd's V for Vendetta adopts and re-imagines all these concerns in a post-modern, self-reflexive and metatextual manner. A more extensive selection of primary texts could possibly yield a clearer line of the theme's evolution throughout the 20th century, or at least succeeding or competing trends in its treatment, but the current, narrower choice bespeaks the considerable individuality of vision in the represented authors' works, even as they often address similar issues and engage in a dialogue by means of shared motifs and concerns.

Economic rights in copyright
Vorek, Miroslav ; Wünschová Pujmanová, Alexandra (advisor) ; Císařová, Zuzana (referee)
My thesis deals with economic rights in copyright. Economic rights in copyright are the rights that have an economic importance. They provide authors a possibility of financial evaluation of their creative work or at least prevent other persons, without permission of the author profited from his creative effort. There are many authors, but not all of them can live on their creation. However every single author may be sure that nobody will dispose with his work without he has the possibility to influence it. The possibility of financial satisfaction is not only a financial reward for the activity of the authors, but it is also a motivation for them to spend their time by creating. Economic rights in copyright enable authors to make their works available to the public and currently to have control over such activity, that can be very profitable for others. Thanks to their economic rights the authors can participate in the economic success of their works achieved by making them available to the public. It is for the good of the authors to make their works available to the public. They can acquire new fans, share their feelings, know the views of others, learn how to improve , become popular and famous, earn money. But making works available to the public may be a complicated process, which requires a...

The Impact of Eventual Legalization of Prostitution on Budget Income of Chosen Territorial Units in the North-West Bohemia Region
Lhotská, Veronika ; Poláková, Olga (advisor) ; Chmelová, Pavla (referee)
The bachelor thesis is focused on the impact of regulation of prostitution on budget income of selected territorial units. The current Proposal of the Act on Regulation of Prostitution and the Act on the Budget Determination of Taxes imply that territorial units should have be entitled especially to a share of the income tax revenue. The estimates of budget income suggest that the mostly affected territorial units should be entitled to the relatively largest share of income tax revenue. However, this rule is violated in case of less affected but large territorial units. This is because, according to the Act on the Budget Determination of Taxes, the income tax revenue is redistributed unproportionally from the most affected territorial units to the largests units. The estimated tax income from regulation of prostitution would be negligible part of the total income of all selected territorial units.

Evolution of Morality, Morality of Evolution
Šafránek, Jakub ; Komárek, Stanislav (advisor) ; Stella, Marco (referee)
The goal of this work is to present attitudes of two contemporary authors who are in the center of the evolutionary-origin-of morality debate, that is theories of Richard Dawkins and Frans de Waal. The critical reflection of their works on this topic will center around the building blocks of morality and the supposed "moral sense", which according to the dutch primatologist humans to some extent share with some of their living evolutinary relatives. In case of Richard Dawkins we are about to review his meme theory and parasytical character of some elements of culture. Morevoer there will be presented accounts of the dual inheritance theorists, which in authors opinion can reunite both presented authors and thier attitudes, i.e. put the parasytic/independent character of memes in accordance with the building blocks of morality approach. This approach in turn can explain many phenomena of human contemporary morals and their limits. Keywords: Morality, evolution, dual inheritance theory, coevolution, memes

The Construction of collective identity and collective Memory in biographical narratives of Czech Germans
Kreisslová, Sandra ; Pargač, Jan (advisor) ; Nosková, Jana (referee) ; Šatava, Leoš (referee)
The aim of the dissertation is to find answers to questions that are connected to the problems of the construction of ethnic/national identity and related identification signs. This discourse creation of collective identity is analyzed on the basis of biographic texts of the citizens of the Czech Republic who identify with Germans, and remained, after the forced extradition of the German-speaking population, for various reasons in the country of their origin. The research project is, from the territorial point of view, situated in the border region of Chomutov which has been for centuries formed mainly by the German population. Using the biographic method there has been recorded, in the course of the terrain investigation itself, a total of 50 biographic narratives of the representatives of three successive generations of this community. By means of analysis and interpretation of the content of these biographic materials there are primarily captured the collectively shared pictures of the past and important identification attributes by which protagonists of the oldest generation of this community form their ethnic/national identity. In this way it is clarified how the narrators themselves re-construct and re-interpret their subjectively experienced "we", at the same time defining themselves against...

The interreligious Dialogue and the Missionary Activity of the Church
Wojdyła, Stefan ; Pelc, Bogdan (advisor) ; Ryšková, Mireia (referee)
Résumé "The Interreligious Dialogue And Missionary Aktivity of the Church" by Stefan Wojdyla This thesis deals with the interreligious dialogue and the missionary activity of the Church. The main goal of this work is to point out the relationship between the dialogue and missionary activity, i.e. whether these two are interrelated or not. The first chapter explains basic terms, such as dialogue, religion, interreligious dialogue and missionary activities in relation to the dialogue. The second chapter gives a description of the dialogue between Christianity and Judaism. The third chapter deals with the dialogue between Christianity and Islam. The fourth and last chapter is concerned with the dialogue between Christianity and Buddhism. The Catholic Church enhances a connection between the interreligious dialogue and its missionary activity. This desire was formulated in the conciliar documents Ad Gentes and Nostra Aetate. A sincere dialogue is connected with missionary activity, because Christianity entails a desire to share Christian faith with other people. Interreligious dialogue must be the fundament of Christian missionary activity, otherwise it does not respond with the Christian identity: one cannot exist without the other. In this sense it can be stated that missionary activities and interreligious...
