Summary: The subject of this thesis is an analysis of literary and theatrical inspiration (E. A. Poe, D. A. F. Sade, Ch. D. Grabbe, L. Carrol, V. de l?Isle-Adam, H. Walpole, J. W. Goethe, Ch. Marlowe, Baroque and popular plays, Gothic fiction, fairy tales) in Jan Švankmajer?s short (The Last Trick, Punch and Judy, Don Juan, Jabberwocky, Castle of Otranto, The Fall of the House of Usher, The Pendulum, the Pit and Hope) and full-feature (Alice, Faust, Little Otik, Lunacy). The goal of the thesis is to investigate how these sources of inspiration are handled in the final films, how the original topics are translated to other media and how their meaning is developed or reshaped. As regards theatrical inspiration, the thesis describes the transfer of formal means of expression typical for theatre (black light theatre, masked actors, hand puppet theatre, etc.) into film as well as the author?s relationship to puppets and the crucial impact of this relationship on his work.

Heat Shock Proteins - Focus on Therapeutic Approaches in Oncology
Rutkowski, Radoslaw ; Hromadníková, Ilona (advisor)
Since the discovery of heat shock proteins in 1960s and their immunogenic properties 20 years later in 1980s they have been under rigorous investigation with great hopes for advent of immunotherapy in oncology as well as other pathologies. So are the HSPs a breakthrough in therapy of cancers or will they be just another form of palliative treatment of these notorious and deadly diseases? HSPs is a family of proteins expressed virtually by all living organisms. These proteins have a number of functions that are crucial to organism's intracellular and extracellular homeostasis. Due to the significance of HSPs, over the eons of the evolution, they have been highly conserved in our genetic code. The human HSPs shares almost 50 percent homology with simple unicellular prokaryotes to well over 95 percent homology with higher species of living organisms. Despite of the fact that HSPs have been knows for approximately 50 years and despite of the intensive resears in the field, currently Russia is the only place where HSP immunotherapy has been approved as of 2008 for treatment in renal cell carcinoma. The HSPs immunotherapy has proven benefitial as an adjuvant treatment in some stages of a selected cancers. The advantage of HPSs immunotherapy is that it has less side effects compared to standart chemotherapy...

Dissertation "Games and aids for gravely visually handicapped children and their seeing coevals" have four parts. The first part is occupied with theory of plays, the second one deal with didactics, compensatory and those aids, which are appointed to plays. The third chapter engages in production of tactile games, books and aids. The topics are materials, that can be used, and things which should be avoided. The fourth part includes illustrations of concrete games, books and aids which are suitable for gravely visually handicapped children and their seeing coevals. The crucial fact is that not a single side is advantaged. This part describes commonly made games which could be used without any editing or with slight editing. There are also placed famous party games, books and aids, which are inevitable to be completely made in as follows special edition. Sibling relationship in middle chilhood
Pacnerová, Helena ; Viktorová, Ida (advisor) ; Rendl, Miroslav (referee)
In my rigorous thesis 1 focus at describing sibling relationship in middle childhood. I have an aim of finding those specific themes that emerge in this relationship in middle childhood. I search for answers in literature as well as in qualitative research. The purpose of this research is to make an insight into the ways this relationship is experienced by eight to ten-year-old children. On the basis of outcomes of this research I then focus on a detailed analysis of two crucial themes, namely the playing activities and conflict situations of children. In the analysis of these themes a concrete way is reflected of experiencing the sibling relationship in childhood. I provide information on how children in middle childhood perceive and reflect their siblings, the sibling relationship, and themselves in this relationship. This thesis captures both common as well as different aspects of this relationship with children of the same and opposite sex; it examines this relationship through the eyes of children in two basic sibling positions, and it highlights a picture of this relationship typical for various sibling constellations. Thanks to findings of several authors who have dealt with sibling relationships, the outcomes of my research are explained in connection to dynamic aspects of this relationship such as...

Occurrence of irregular red blood cells antibodies in pregnant women examinated on immunohematological laboratory of UHKT
Frišová, Zdeňka ; Písačka, Martin (advisor)
Blood is one of the main part of the internal environment of the organism. By composition and function is vital fluid which as mobile media connects all the organs and tissues in the body and plays a crucial homeostatic význam.1 circulating in the blood vessels (arteries, capillaries, and veins), composed of plasma and platelets (cells). Plasma is primarily water, electrolytes and blood proteins (albumin, globulins, a number of special protein). The stents blood include red blood cells (erythrocytes), white blood cells (leukocytes) and platelets (thrombocytes) .2 The total volume of circulating blood corresponds to about 8% by weight. For an adult it is approximately 4.5 - 6 liters of blood.

Sharon Kam
Lahodná, Jana ; Hlaváč, Jiří (advisor) ; Mareš, Vlastimil (referee) ; Herman, František (referee)
The thesis is focused on Sharon Kam, one of the most important and respected clarinetists nowadays. There are described her musical beginnings and the most important moments of her life and professional career as well as a list of her recordings and repertoir. In the way of an interview there are presented her opinions about the way of playing the clarinet, methods for learning new pieces and other information concerning her atitude to life of a professional musician. The specifics of Sharon´s interpretation are demonstrated on the analysis of the Phantasy Pieces op. 73 by Robert Schumann. Her interpretation of the piece and the atitude are compared with the performance of Michel Arrignon, a famous French clarinetist and teacher. Attached there are described the breathing technics, which are crucial for Sharon´s ways of practising. The influence of Sharon on my musical and artistical developement are also part of the thesis as well as the confrontation of our opinions and thoughts.

Biochemical methods as tool for study of reproductive proteins
Postlerová, Pavla ; Zigo, Michal ; Pohlová, Alžběta ; Jonáková, Věra
Study of molecular mechanisms in reproduction is essential for the understanding of this outstanding process. Our lab studies proteins secreted by reproductive organs and sperm using various biochemical methods for a long time. We have expertise in protein extraction from spermatic cells using different approaches, and by kits for proteins from the sperm surface and distinct subcellular compartments. The proteins of reproductive organ fluids are separated by chromatographic methods, such as size exclusion chromatography, high-performance liquid chromatography with reverse phase (RP-HPLC) and affinity chromatography on matrices with various ligands. Proteins are subjected to SDS- or 2D-electrophoresis for their characterization and comparison of various extraction methods, different mammalian species, and sperm in different functional development. Electrophoretically separated proteins may be transferred onto nitrocellulose membrane (Western blot) for antibody detection or binding studies with lectin-labelled ligands (lectins, polysaccharides, zona pellucida glycoproteins). We use immunoprecipitation method with specific antibody for protein determination followed by the MALDI identification. Proteins are localized by immunofluorescent techniques on/in spermatic cells and tissue sections of reproductive organs. Isolation of proteins from reproductive tissues and fluids, and the antibody detection is crucial for the studying of reproductive protein origin.
