Event-Driven Automation
Havlín, Jan ; Češka, Milan (referee) ; Lengál, Ondřej (advisor)
The thesis deals with automation of processes in Testing Farm Team of company Red Hat Czech s.r.o. Automating the chosen task "Update and test continuous integration system with new operating system build results in simplified maintenance of said continuous integration system. Implementation uses a Jenkins server to execute jobs and tft-admin tool to perform smaller steps resulting in automation of the task. Also, in the implementation part, modifications of the tft-admin tool allow usage in automated scripts which simplifies future automation of other processes.
Webová aplikácia pre používateľskú časť edukačnej platformy
Siebert, Martin
The aim of this thesis is to design and implement a basic application for the user part of the educational platform based on the requirements of FEDEVEL s.r.o. The theoretical part of this thesis focuses on the analysis of existing solutions and the current state of the system in the company. It also describes the possibilities of creating a web application and describes multiple AWS services. The created application will form the basis for a new company product that will help instructors build their own brand of proffesional courses and provide a modern educational platform for their students.
Deployment of Cloud Services for Embedded IoT Devices
Solčík, Vít ; Crha, Adam (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
Main purpose of this thesis is to prepare an analysis of the existing approaches to the realization of cloud-based services for IoT domain and propose a solution demonstrating the exploitation of this concept for embedded devices with constrained resources. Departing from this point, the attention is further given to the aspect of secure TCP/IP communication between cloud service and embedded device using Ethernet interface. An integral part of the proposed solution is also comprising the implementation of necessary firmware for interact with IoT platform via supported network protocols. Last but not least this work is dealing as well with the design and practical deployment of a demonstration application, which uses this communication infrastructure.
Software for entropy resource evaluation
Šelinga, Martin ; Zeman, Václav (referee) ; Burda, Karel (advisor)
This thesis is focused on exploring the sources of entropy. It includes a description of random number generators and tests used to evaluate entropy quality. Random number generator for Windows and Linux OS was created together with software for entropy evaluation. Subsequently, measurement of entropy was performed on physical workstations and Cloud environments.
Design and development of AWS/TPWS system testing device
Majchrák, František ; Fiedler, Petr (referee) ; Kaczmarczyk, Václav (advisor)
The aim of the work was design and realization of device to simplify and speed up the testing of AWS / TPWS train protection system. The first chapter is addressed to description and division of train protection systems. The next chapter describes the process of commissioning the AWS / TPWS system and possible applycation of the device to this process. The final chapters deal with design, specification of components, realization of device and verification of its functionality.
Design and implementation of the technological sample with data acquisition in the IoT environment
Vrbková, Michaela ; Hadaš, Zdeněk (referee) ; Věchet, Stanislav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of a technological demonstrator for data collection in IoT environment. A study of available IoT technologies was made, consisting of a description of available sensors / actuators, data transmission and processing. At the same time, the key components of the demonstrator, the AWS IoT cloud service and the MQTT communication protocol, were described. Based on the IoT technology study, a representative set of technological demonstrator elements was designed. Its functionality has been experimentally verified using the ESP8266 and ESP32 WiFi modules using Mongoose-os firmware. The result is a demonstrator of IoT data collection designed for usage in an Smart House.
Amazon Alexa Weather Skill Implementation
Dobrik, Andrej
In the past few years there has been a quite significant shift in how customers interact with their smart devices. Strong emphasis is laid on the usage convenience of the device. For people, the most convenient way to communicate is through voice interaction. Many companies have realized this change and started to develop software and hardware to support it. The main focus of this work is the development of a new unique Amazon Alexa skill that recommends appropriate windsurfing equipment based on weather conditions.
Campaign to stop 'killer robots': prospects of a preemptive ban on autonomous weapons systems
Rosendorf, Ondřej ; Smetana, Michal (advisor) ; Hynek, Nikola (referee)
This thesis addresses the issue of autonomous weapons systems and their potential preventive prohibition with regard to current international discussions at multilateral forums such as the Human Rights Council, First Committee of the General Assembly, and Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons at UN. The aim of this thesis is to provide an extensive empirical account of the substance of those discussions and their most likely outcome, estimating state preferences with use of content analysis and the likely outcome with median voter prediction. From a theoretical standpoint, the thesis draws from defensive realism and contributions of arms control, arms trade as well as institutionalist literature from which it draws the concept of legalization. From a methodological standpoint, the thesis relies on quantitative methods, in particular, content analysis for collection of data and median voter theorem for prediction of the likely outcome. In addition, the thesis uses the method of regression analysis to examine states' activity at the aforementioned fora. In conclusion, the thesis finds that the most likely outcome of discussions on autonomous weapons systems is a moderate-obligation form of hybrid regulation, which includes solutions such as framework convention and moratorium. Development of an Amazon Alexa Skill for Amazon Echo
Dobrík, Andrej ; Zeman, Kryštof (referee) ; Pokorný, Jiří (advisor)
V posledných rokoch nastala významná zmena v spôsobe interakcie medzi používateľmi a inteligentnými zariadeniami.
