From the collected data regarding the ethnic composition in the first half of the twentieth century it is evident that the population transfer had a negative impact on the whole industry. Furthermore, this thesis portrays the development of the industry in the 20th century, primarily during the period from the end of WWI to the privatization of industry between the years 1992 -- 1994.The thesis concludes that the outflow of German specialists negatively impacted the whole porcelain industry, more specifically in regards to product quality, export to foreign markets and the volume of production.

Exploitation of Sub-Saharan Africa: Myth, or reality?
Rychetský, Petr ; Kotýnková, Magdalena (advisor) ; Procházka, Pavel (referee)
The aim of this work is to analyse the amount of wealth that annually leaves Sub-Saharan Africa. The theoretical part introduces individual theoretical concepts that are involved in the work's topic. In practical part, there is given a space at first to the quantification of the very amount that leaves Sub-Saharan states every year. Furthermore, the size of this wealth is measured with regard to the economic character and the level of development of individual countries. Measured is also the origin of that money according to the different industries. The work answers the question, which reasons stand behind the fact, that Sub-Saharan region sends annually not-negligible wealth to the rest of the world. This work shows that there is a direct proportion between nation's wealth and the size of money leaving the country, represented by the gap between GDP and GNI. This is caused by foreign investments, which stand behind the economic development, however the revenues usually go into rich countries outside Africa. The least loss of wealth is therefore recorded from the poorest states, whereas countries most affected by the wealth loss are usually richer and heavily dependent upon natural resources mining.

Monitoring of surface changes caused by underground mining in the Karviná region
Doležalová, Hana ; Kajzar, Vlastimil
Geodetic monitoring of the Louky locality revealed irregularities in the development of the subsidence depression and it also helped to document the changing terrain due to ongoing reclamation activities. Repeated GNSS measurements recorded not only the size of subsidence of individual points, but also the size and direction of horizontal displacement of these points, which revealed the influence of undermining in the area of interest, and in its surroundings. It turned out that particularly the significant tectonic fault A forms a barrier of the influence of underground mining. The subsidence depression develops differently than the models of the predicted subsidence expected, especially in the area between the tectonic faults X and A. The method of aerial photogrammetry recorded not only the subsidence caused by underground mining, but also the extent and size of the changes caused by the ongoing reclamation of the surface.

Hydraulic conductivity under various recultivated growth
CEJPEK, Jiří
Velka podkrusnohorska spoil heap in the Sokolovsko region is the largest heap in the Czech republic, which was created by transfering millions of tons of soil from opencast mining of brown coal. According to a large measuring (large land surveying) of physical and chemical properties on the reclaimed and unreclaimed heap soil were found many hydrological properties. Hydraulic conductivity was measured by Guelph permeameter, moisture was measured by Dielectrical indicator of moisture and last but not least soil carbonates Ca was measured by Janek`s carbonmeter. Water mode and percantual representation of carbonates is markedly influenced by the technology of sending and by the age of heaps of both types, differencies between bottom parts and top parts on unreclaimed soil are conclusive due to crevasses on the top parts. The other factor is the presence of reclaimed vegetation, which have an important role in the pedogenic process.

Jirešová, Stanislava ; Bidlo, David (referee) ; Lindroosová, Hilkka (advisor)
The traditional music of the Sámi, who inhabit the northernmost areas of Scandinavia and the Kola peninsula, is a cultural heritage of ancient origin. The Sámi musical tradition is represented especially by the yoik, which is a predominantly vocal music form without any instrumental accompaniment. The unique way of voice modulation gives the yoik its specific character and it is, in the opinion of the Sámi, the crucial feature distinguishing the yoik from other musical forms. However, style and structure of the yoik differ region by region, in a similar manner in which the various Sámi languages and dialects differ from each other. The purpose of this master theses is to introduce the tradition of the Sámi yoik in the Central European environment, where it is still relatively unknown. The paper focuses on the musical aspects of the yoik. The core of the paper is based on the original transcription of 22 selected yoik recordings, which were made between 1961 and 1963 in the Finnish Lapland. The paper aims at characterising the yoik melodics in terms of its tonal substance and melodic line. It also focuses on characterising the rhytmic aspects of the yoik and briefly discusses the musical forms typical for this music genre. In addition, the paper contains an overview of the past and present academic research...
