Landscape typology of the Czech republic
Romportl, Dušan ; Lipský, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Kolejka, Jaromír (referee) ; Hrnčiarová, Tatiana (referee)
29 number of framework was set expertly. The next step affected by author of classification is the choice of training objects. For each of the classes 5 objects were considered that cover the range of variability of natural conditions. However, their selection was also a affected by author's choice. Verification and comparison of the results of object-oriented analysis with traditional methods of pixel-based classification showed differences in the of classification methods. In the case of object- oriented analysis spectral information are evaluated for the whole object. The highly heterogeneous objects such information may be averaged out and the object is thus classified as atypical representative of a certain class. Pixel classification methods, however, assess the quality of each pixel of the raster, so that any heterogeneous objects are divided into several classes. Using the results of the supervised classification the accuracy of object-oriented classification has been confirmed, considering a few exceptions. 4.1 THEORETICAL ISSUES Serious question of developing comprehensive landscape typology is the purpose and reason for such action. Pedroli et al. (2006) points to a general demand for accurate, highly detailed and high quality representative spatial information on the status and development of...

A development of the Czech secondary generel education after World War II (1945-1989)
Bauerová, Kateřina ; Koťa, Jaroslav (referee) ; Váňová, Růžena (advisor)
I will attempt to base my work on historical facts while describing the overall situation as it was perceived then. The post-war period was a time of reconstruction both in terms of economy and morals. In the education area, the renewed Republic faced a decision whether to continue the heritage of the First Republic and its experimental schools or whether to follow new trends from abroad (mainly the USSR). At that time the Communist Party already had a strong position but it is was still only one of the parties influencing the course of events in the country. The 4-year Gymnasium (secondary school) was re-established and it became a selective institution. The first attempts to unite the education system are starting to appear. Later on, prototypes of normalized schools are being founded. There is also a pressure to make schools public. The main effort is to increase the over-all expertise of the secondary school teachers. Most reforms fail due to the lack of financial resources in the post-war state. This time period may be described as the time the education system was searching for its identity. It was the time of discussion between the heritage of the First Republic and the accession of the Communist party and its aim to establish a unified education system.

Mikroskopické houby v půdě, listovém opadu, exkrementech a střevním traktu .i.Dendrobaena mrazeki./i. (Lumbricidae)
Nováková, Alena ; Pižl, Václav
Species diversity and quantitative parameters (mycelial length, CFU counts) of saprotrophic microfungi assemblages were studied in the intestine and casts of .i.D. mrazeki./i. and compared with those in soil and litter at four plots of a thermophilous oak forest in Southern Moravia (Czech Republic) in 2004. Soil dilution plate method and soil washing technique and three isolation media were used for the isolation of fungi. Differences in species number and composition of fungi assemblages were found both among individual substrates studied and between the results of different isolation methods. Number of species isolated by the soil dilution plate method was higher in earthworm casts than in soil, however, the opposite results were obtained using soil washing technique. CFU counts reached the highest values in leaf litter.

The regression analysis confirmed the existence of this influence. The primary education and also tertiary education both have positive influence. But tertiary education has a stronger effect in the marriage rate. The model also includes variables such as the unemployment of women, the number of illegitimate children, the premarital conception and the family payment.

Intercultural education on high schools
Pozděnová, Jitka ; Neusarová, Jana (referee) ; Kopecký, Martin (advisor)
The topic of this master thesis is Intercultural Education in high schools. As the Czech Republic was largely isolated under communism for more than 40 years, Czech society is still rather homogeneous, with relatively little experience with multiculturalism. Nevertheless, Czech society is slowly changing, mainly due to immigration into the Czech Republic, but also because of process of globalization and the country's entrance into European Union and the implementation of EU legislation and directives. These developments have been recognized by the Ministry of Education and, after a very short academic and public discussion, enormous changes have been introduced into the high school education system. Within two years, high schools are obliged to create their own curriculum aimed at educating students on the importance of civil society for the well-being of democracy. During this critical transition period for high schools, a total of ten school principals and other teachers have been interviewed for the purpose of this thesis. They were asked how prepared they feel mainly concerning intercultural education; what are their experiences with multiculturalism; how are teachers trained to teach such a complex subject; and other questions relevant to the topic. Feedback of international exchange students who were...
