Activities supporting well-being of university teachers

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of well-being and well-being of university teachers. This topic is still not as common and popular in the Czech Republic as it is in the USA, for example. After distance learning in Czech schools, more and more people started talking and writing about the well-being of pupils and students, but teachers, especially university ones, are still forgotten. The aim of this thesis is to verify the functionality of evidence-based activities for university teachers that have a positive effect on their well-being. The theoretical part deals with health, well-being and factors influencing well-being. It also deals with the topic of quality of life. Finally, the theoretical part deals with selected problems of the teaching profession, both in general and with a direct focus on university teachers, whose well-being may be affected negatively. The practical part deals with mixed methods design, which aimed to determine the functionality of selected activities. The first part presents the research process, research sample, questionnaire survey and individual selected activities that were included in the research. Importance of family life and a healthy family-work balance

This bachelor thesis considers the importance of a family and the question of harmonization of family and work life.It defines a family and work as very significant parts of a human life and points at some main attitudes towards the issues of putting family life and work together. Some transformations in terms of the relationship between a family and work in the past are suggested. There are also stated some basic measures of the state, which support a family. This thesis also considers the position of women in the labour market, the competence of the state and employers in the matter of women returning to work after parental leave. The most common methods of taking care of children younger than three years are also shown.There is a conception of Homeworking introduced as an alternative in the matter of harmonization of family and work life.
Employment of Persons Suffering from Mild Intellectual Disability in Kladno region

The aim of this thesis is to analyse employment of people suffering from mild intellectual disability. The thesis briefly describes those learning difficulties and selects a mild intellectual disability from a wide range of other mental disabilities. The text is based on the fact that people with learning difficulties are able to work, live in a family and become members of the society as well as to be independent citizens. However, there is a necessity to help those people not only with regard to their educational process, but also on the labour market, which is apparently highly competitive even for people without any special needs. The thesis is also focused on various possibilities of people suffering from learning difficulties in the terms of enabling them to get a job. In accordance with the regulation on mild intellectual disability people, the thesis suggests many of suitable positions within service industry. Owing to the fact that people with this type of disease are under protection of the law, and that there are some incentives for employers, nowadays it is much easier to find them a job. Bullying in the Intensive Care Units

Bullying in the intensive care units. The main mission of this thesis is to describe an issue called mobbing. The primary target is to get information about rate of bullying in the intensive care units in south Bohemia, especially in Prachatice and Strakonice city and to know how many percent of employees / paramedics of the intensive care units were already touched by bullying. This kind of information we got by anonymous questionnaires, set up from 23 questions with open and closed form. In theoretical part I deal with actual status, explaining term of mobbing, bossing, causes of bullying, characteristic of the participants, bullying in the health service in the Czech republic. In the conclusion I show prevention and tolerance of mobbing and bossing. In practical part I point on assesment of hypothesis and evaluation of the target of my thesis. I suppose that the chicane show up in small measure on the workplace of the intensive care units. From my point of view I think that women working in the intensive care units are getting in a touch of bullying much more than men. Employment opportunities for information professionals in corporate sector

This bachelor thesis is focused on employment opportunities of information professionals in the labour market in conjunction with current educational possibilities in the Czech Republic. The thesis provides a detailed overview of competencies related to information profession within six information areas. Furthermore, it also monitors local and international trends in this field. The second part aims to evaluate usefulness and practicality of selected professional courses currently offered within the Information studies and librarianship at the Faculty of Arts at the Charles University in relation with the needs of graduates in the corporate sector.
