Comparison of online interactive applications and their use in education
Šašek, Martin ; Leipert, Jiří (advisor) ; Lapeš, Jakub (referee)
The purpose of this thesis is to select a user-friendly interactive application for teaching and to present it in the form of an instructional video including instructions in text form for its use in pedagogical practice. Selection of the most suitable interactive application was made by comparison on the basis of a five-element methodological evaluation scale, which resulted from a literature search and Internet resources and from the experience gained from my own teaching practice. The applications were evaluated on the degree of interactivity, accessibility of the application, availability of the license, language proficiency and user experience with each application. The comparison was then evaluated and the selected Nearpod application was characterized, its features and capabilities were described from the perspective of the teacher and the student. Instructions for its use were created in the form of a set of instructional tutorial videos, which were published on the website https://sites.google.com/view/vyucovat-interaktivne. These videos present the environment of the interactive application Nearpod, show the basic way of working with the application, the preparation of teaching material and focus on practical recommendations for using the tool in daily pedagogical practice. Aspekty využití výukových metod ve výuce praktického vyučování
Kuběja, Josef
The topic of the bachelor thesis is the analysis of teaching methods in vocational education in the field of carpentry. The aim of the thesis is to find out whether something can be changed or modified in the teaching methods in this field so that the graduates gain sufficient knowledge to perform their work in a self-sufficient manner. The work is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part discusses key competences, technical and practical skills and didactic methods. Furthermore, two pedagogical approaches to teaching are pre-sented - the Transmissive and the Constructivist, and the Research-Oriented Tea-ching pedagogical approach. The last chapter presents teaching methods in vocati-onal training and how they are used in teaching. In the practical part, the teaching methods are presented seeded into one teaching day with the same topic and bro-ken-down how this day would look like.
A comparison of two developmental methods and their impact on behaviour
Štěpánová, Irena ; Loneková, Katarína (advisor) ; Rymeš, Milan (referee)
The goal of my thesis is to compare the impact of two developmental methods (role playing and discussion about a video specially recorded for the developmental activity). In theoretical part I introduce employee development area from a psychological point of view and I describe psychological concepts in the background of concrete skills as leadership, self-management, communication and influencing. I strive for deeper understanding of ways we use to absorb these skills and understanding of possibilities to be used to enhance employees' development whether we mean the concrete developmental methods or training and development process management as a whole. This knowledge is applicable in training and development, which is an area, where my research is conducted. In empirical part I made two researches. In qualitative research I was identifying target group developmental needs to be able to set relevant developmental goals and chose developmental methods corresponding with actual needs of employees which is an important premise of influencing behaviour. In the main research part I conducted quasi-experiment where I compare the target group score before and after the developmental intervention. I compared statistically significant differences between scores in experimental groups and in control group....
Reactions of predators towards species of red-and-black mimetic complex
Kotlíková, Lucie ; Exnerová, Alice (advisor) ; Baňař, Petr (referee)
The red-black mimetic complex in the Western Palaearctic region includes a large number of arthropod species. These species differ in the degree of their mimetic resemblance, as well as in defensive mechanisms and their effectiveness against various predators. This study is based on two experiments. The first experiment was carried out with adult great tits (Parus major) and artificial prey (photographs). The birds were divided into two experimental groups and were trained to discriminate between palatable and unpalatable prey. One group was trained with higher diversity in the coloration of unpalatable prey (ten species of subfamily Lygaeinae), while the other was trained with low diversity in the coloration of palatable prey (ten individuals of the same species, Lygaeus equestris). After ten learning blocks, two generalization blocks followed, in which both groups received the same prey that was completely different from the prey during learning phase. The rate of learning was not significantly different between the two groups. However, more effective generalization was observed in the group trained with higher prey diversity. However, this trend was only observed in the first generalization block. On the second day, both groups achieved similar generalization success. The second experiment was...

The system of Italian verbs and its challenges from the perspective of Czech students of Italian Studies
Pranevská, Karolína ; Obstová, Zora (advisor) ; Štichauer, Pavel (referee)
The thesis focuses on the verb system of Italian language, specifically addressing areas that Czech students tend to find problematic. The theoretical section aims to provide a solid theoretical foundation in relation to L2 acquisition, error typologies, and an overview of the Italian verb system. This will enable a comprehensive analysis of student tests in the practical section. In the practical section, based on the disparities between the Italian and Czech verb systems and the peculiarities of the Italian system, hypotheses are formulated regarding the challenging nature of certain Italian verb phenomena for Czech students. Research questions are also posed to determine the areas of the language and types of test exercises where students make the most errors. The analysis results should also highlight error rates throughout students' the course and identify potential causes of these errors. Keywords: language learning/acquisition, system of verbs, verb tense, grammatical mood, L2 Italian, transfer, error.

Používání videí stimuluje kognitivní procesy myšlení, uvažování, řešení problémů, rozhodování a tvoření. Videa přenesou studenta nad rámec aktivit souvisejících s vybavováním si probrané látky a vytvářením souvislostí.
Pictograms of plants as support for a visual learning style in teaching botany
Drozdová, Anna ; Slovák, Marek (advisor) ; Poupová, Jana (referee)
The bachelor's thesis deals with pictograms of plants as a possible support for the visual learning style in the teaching of botany. It contains a cross-section of learning style topics and a cross-section of biology teaching topics. In the chapter on learning styles, it focuses on methods of research of visual learning and on pictures and pictograms used for learning. The work assumes that the visual style of learning is the most effective for learning, and that its better integration into biology lessons can raise interest even in less popular thematic units belonging to this subject. In the chapter focused on the teaching of biology, the thesis then focuses on popular and unpopular topics in biology classes, with a special focus on botany and the problems associated with its teaching. The thesis offers a solution to this situation by using plant pictograms in order to increase the popularity of botany, which could be through the application of plant pictograms in the teaching of botany in primary and secondary schools. The final section summarizes and discusses knowledge about the visual style of teaching, the use of pictorial materials, and most importantly, pictograms in streamlining the teaching of botany, supported by arguments from an array of scientific sources proving the usefulness of...
