Analysis of the currency crisis in Russia

This bachelor thesis describes the financial crisis in the Russian Federation, which happened in 2014. The theoretical part covers the necessary general information concerning the financial crisis: the definition, the causes of the origin and the general theoretical models of the crisis. This section also describes two types of crisis indicators, more specifically deals with modern indicators and generalizes the effects of the currency crisis on the economy. The analytical part focuses on the analysis of the financial crisis in compliance with the theoretical part. In addition, the author performs an econometric analysis of the change of exchange rate change on the change of modern indicators and conducts a regression model. In conclusion, the author summarizes the impact of the recent currency crisis on various areas of the Russian economy.

Analysis of export and import of the Russian Federation

This bachelor thesis deals with analysis of export and import of the Russian Federation between 2005-2015. The primary objective is to analyze the factors affecting the foreign trade of Russia and to evaluate their consequences. The analysis shows the low diversification of Russian export, the dependence of foreign trade on exports of crude oil, petroleum products and natural gas. Furthermore, the dependence on oil prices, world and domestic GDP is identified. During the study of dependence, the statistical methods are used, which are correlation and regression analysis. The theoretical part devoted to basic concepts, description of importance and functions of foreign trade, theories of external economic relations. In the second chapter a comprehensive analysis of commodity and territorial structure of foreign trade is carried out. The importance of foreign trade for balance of payments, GDP creation and foreign exchange relations is determined. The third chapter is more focused on revelation of trends influencing both exports and imports. The final fourth chapter focuses on the empirical analysis of the export and import of the Russian Federation.

The main goal of this dissertation is to find out, if Ms. Dalia Grybauskaitė was elected as a president due to the Financial crisis. The author is also trying to find whether the Financial crisis somehow affected the Lithuanian politics. This text deals with the historical context, political system of Lithuania, performance of Lithuanian economy, and the presidential election with the Financial crisis, which are analyzed together.

Bethel Henry Strousberg and fall of his undertaking activities in Zbiroh region in the time of so called great depresion

This bachelor thesis is a case study and its main aim is to analyse the entrepreneurial activities of a German entrepreneur and the so called "king of the railways" Bethel Henry Strousberg in the Zbiroh region. Strousberg bought the manor farm estate Zbiroh in 1868. He intended to build a large railroad centre in this area which would later be called "Czech Manchester." His ambitious business activities (refurbishment of already existing factories and building of new ones, railways construction) collapsed during the depression of the 1870's. This thesis deals not only with the basics of the entrepreneurship and its development but predominantly with the causes of its fall. Standard methods of business history and regional history were used to write this thesis. This bachelor thesis deals with the circumstances behind the economic growth in Ireland. The thesis primarily focuses on the specifics of this process, tries to compare the growth from the Celtic Tiger period and the current economical situation. The thesis tries to analyze how Ireland handled economic problems from the end of the last century and problems caused by the impact of recent financial crisis. It especially focuses on the role of the government in the process of the economic resurgence. The thesis analyzes and compares particular steps of the Irish government during the crisis.

Fiscal Federalism in Spain in History and Nowadays

The purpose of my thesis is to analyse the tools and consequences of the fiscal federalism in Spain. Decentralization process has started along with democratization since passing new Constitution in 1978. It has been mainly reaction to cultural, historical and political reasons of creation of Autonomous Communities. Economic crisis stroke the Spanish economy very strongly and has been a challenge for the whole financing model. Thus, the main aim of my thesis is to deal with the recent development of the financing model. Since Spain is a member of the European Union, I describe also tools of the fiscal federalism put forward by the European Union. Spain is considered to be one of the most decentralized countries in Europe. In my thesis I want to prove that further decentralization has been confirmed by reforms responding to the economic crisis. Then, I want to show that used tools of fiscal federalism are profitable for both state and autonomous communities and positively affect economy of Spain and that they has helped to deal with economic crisis. Finally, I want to show that Spain is getting closer to federal arrangement of government. Impact of the Financial Crisis on the TV Market in the Czech Republic

Thesis called Impact of the Economic Crisis on the Television Market in the Czech Republic combines two main topics: current economic crisis and TV market in the Czech Republic. TV market is closely connected with the television advertising market. This thesis try to answer the question whether and how the economic crisis affected the amount of funds invested in television advertising and how changes in the television advertising market were reflected in the financial results of TV stations. To evaluate the financial situation of television companies was used the financial analysis. Development of the volume of investment in television advertising and television advertising prices were examined through data and information from the research agencies. The thesis also examines the consequences for the viewer, ie whether the economic crisis reflected in changing broadcasting schedule and whether these changes subsequently affect viewership of TV. To determine this information is used quantitative analysis of the television program within defined period. Viewership of television companies surveyed is evaluated on the basis of data research agencies (especially Association of TV Organisations).
