This diploma thesis was created for a four-star-hotel located in South Moravia. The thesis explores and evaluates the current situation at the hospitality market and the hotel services. A part of the theis is a marketing research focused on customer satisfaction. The aim of the work is to set a marketing strategy and proposals that would lead to higher occupancy and earnings.

Thesis on the topic of Accounting and tax specifics in the hotel industry explains accounting and tax procedures that may occur in this specific sector. At the beginning is shown the history of this industry, number of accommodation in Czech republic etc. Further this thesis describes the laws of hospitality and related services. Followed by a section dealing with accounting issues, explanation of some procedures and on the following part, which describes the impacts of VAT and income tax in hospitality. Last part is devoted to practical demonstrations of several accounting transactions of specific entity.
Comparative analysis of the workforce fluctuation in selected accommodation facilities

The subject of submitted diploma thesis is a comparative analysis of the two selected accommodation facilities with a focus on fluctuating workforce. The first part focuses on theoretical foundations. It defines the basic terms from the field of services in tourism, human resources and managing and its subsequent application in the context of motivation, satisfaction and staff turnover. In the second part are the two chosen hotel facilities introduced and on the basis of the survey potential fluctuation at each facility is analyzed as well as probable causes are determined. In conclusion there is a comparison of results in both facilities and recommendations that may lead to a reduction of turnover.
Marketing Analysis of Selected Catering Establishment

The aim of the thesis is to describe the Ambiente Restaurants Group concept, to analyse its marketing instruments and to show, how its "know-how" was built and is put in practice. The theoretical part deals with the marketing in general, then marketing mix in tourism and ends with hospitality and hospitality entrepreneurship. The practical part is focused on the concept of Ambiente, its development and it is introducing every Ambiente establishment. After that the marketing mix is applied to practises of Ambiente and then analysed. At the very end, the concept is assessed by a questionnaire.
The influence of congress tourism on hospitality in Prague

The aim of the thesis is to analyze the influence of congress tourism on hospitality in Prague. The work aims to determine how much is the congress tourism important for hotels and if they can survive without it. The partial aims are then evaluation of the current situation of congress tourism in Prague by statistics, further evaluation of the situation and analysis of the selected hotel with an annual interval. Last but not least finding the factors upon which firms base their decisions when selecting event at the hotel. The last chapter deals with proposals to improve the situation in hotels.

The third and final chapter addresses different services provided by Four Seasons Hotel Prague. The last part of the thesis is devoted to designing a new product meeting corporate requirements for the hotel services portfolio.

The aim of this thesis is to introduce theoretical basis and practical review of actual revenue management usage in hospitality, espacially in the Food&Beverage Department. First chapter brings out the concept of revenue management from the view of its origin, development and integration into other industries. The second and third chapter describes different tools and approaches between the Rooms and Food&Beverage Department. The purpose of the last chapter is to compare revenue management usage through survey within both mentioned departments in the Czech Republic.

In today's globalized world traveling has become an integral part of many people's lives. Whether traveling for pleasure, entertainment, or business, you always have to find a place to stay during your travels. There are many options - sleeping on a park bench, on a sofa at some stranger's house, in a tent, in a small hotel room or in a luxury apartment in one of the world's famous hotel chains. One such chain is Hyatt. Yet, Hyatt is one of the last worldwide hotel chains not represented in the Czech Republic. Why is this so? Is there still a potential for a new luxury hotel chain to enter this market? And if so, which entering strategy shall the chain choose? The aim of the thesis is to answer these questions.
The influence of international hotel chains on development and modernization of the hotel industry in Russia

The second chapter examines the trends of the international hotel industry, including the role of international hotel chains in the world. The third chapter is focused on the analysis of the influence of international hotel chains on the development and improvement of the hotel industry in Russia.
