Possibilities of active body weight regulation and its use in PF students

The aim of the diploma thesis is to find out the most common methods of active regulation of body weight in students of the Faculty of Education of the University of South Bohemia. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the possibilities (ways) of active regulation of body weight. By lifestyle, nutrition, movement, physical typology, regeneration and the mental side of a human being. The practical part of the thesis was realized using a quantitative questionnaire, which was distributed among students of the Faculty of Education of the University of South Bohemia. The obtained data are compiled in spreadsheets and graphs. The conclusion of the thesis is the processing of the results of the research file and subsequent recommendations in the field of this issue.

This bachelor thesis focuses on the influence of advertisement on children and minors and their eating habits. Since diet plays a fundamental role in terms of one's healthy development, these advertisements can have a negative impact on their health, as neither children nor minors have the mental capacity to resist the influence of many marketing practices. The aim of this thesis is to summarise those practices, that are used in marketing communication and point out the risks of unhealthy food advertising in connection to children and minors. Subsequently the thesis focuses on the regulation of advertisement. It will summarise regulation of advertisement in EU, regarding its directives, as well as in specific countries of EU, where both legal regulations and rules from self-regulatory organizations will be described. Finally, there will be a comparison of these regulations with those that are used to protect children and minors in Czech Republic.
Comparison of eating habits of middle and older school age girls at selected primary school

This bachelor thesis is focused on the eating habits of girls in elementary school. The goal was to find out whether there are certain differences in the way they eat between middle- aged and older school-age girls at a selected primary school. Whether their eating habits differ due to their age. The sub-targets therefore focus on how many times a day the girls eat, if they have a cooked diet each day, whether they eat breakfast and, if so, how regularly. The theoretical part is devoted to information about nutrition, nutritional components and nutritional value of food. Subsequently, it focuses on the distribution of school age, the main principles of a child's diet, important components of the diet and the common mistakes related to the overall diet of children. Last but not least, the most common problems related to eating habits, such as eating disorders or, conversely, overweight or obesity, are also mentioned. The practical part contains a questionnaire, which was attended by a total of 132 girls. In particular, 66 girls of middle school age and 66 girls of older school age. Comparing the eating habits of selected groups of elementary school children in the Czech Republic and Denmark

This thesis deals with nutrition and diet, especially at a young age. The aim of this thesis is to investigate and compare the dietary habits of selected pupils from the Czech Republic and Denmark. It is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part deals with the basic elements of nutrition, proper eating and water intake, general nutritional recommendations for children and adults, and nutrition of children. In addition the theoretical part of the thesis is focused on a catering in the Czech Republic and Denmark. The practical part contains results of a research concentrated on eating habits of a selected group of school children in the Czech Republic and Denmark. As a method of data collection was chosen the written form of an anonymous questionnaire. As part of the survey were compared to partial aspects of eating. These were mainly the consumption of fruits, vegetables, sweets, soft drinks, dairy products and fast food. The survey shows that a selected group of Danish children in selected aspects eat better. A group of Danish children consume more vegetables and fruits and consume more whole grain dark bread instead of light. Title: Nutritional Habits of Preschool Children in Vysočina Region Annotation: I focus on the issues of eating habits of preschool children in my diploma project. Nowadays, this topic is very current due to increasing overweight and obesity of children, already in preschool age. The aim of this work is to summarize the knowledge of preschool children healthy eating, to emphasize the importance of child nutrition, draw attention to mistakes inflicted in child nutrition, and also point to the nutrition recommendations in this age. The integral part of this work is the specification of external influences and risks to a child in this field. At the same time, I mention some issues related to nutrition and eating habits that currently worry parents. The aim of an exploratory survey was to map the level of dietary habits of preschool children in the Region Vysočina. Ø Results: Students of the grammar school with less knowledge of well-balanced diet are close to the principles of the work in comparison with students of other types of schools. Grammar school students also spend more time by doing physical exercises. Due to these facts they have the lowest value of BMI. ABSTRACT: This thesis deals with the obesity of older school age children and their dependence on eating and exercising habits. The theoretical part summarizes knowledge regarding overweight and obesity, disease diagnosis, epidemiological trends and complications related to obesity. Emphasis is put on the evaluation of reasons to why this problem occurs, such as disease prevention, dietary and exercise recommendations, its therapy and inclusion of the issue with the secondary school curriculum. The practical part contains research focused on the nutritional status, eating and exercise habits of pupils in secondary school. The survey results are designed for use in pedagogical practice. Foodjournalism in Czech newspapers betweenthe wars

In recent years, there is an apparent renaissance of the Czech cuisine, the "First Republic era" (1918 - 1938, CSR I) especially. Both chefs and journalists writing about cooking and dining are referring to the gastronomy of this time period more and more often and they are praising its quality and taste. However, there is no comprehensive publication about Czech gastronomy in 1918 - 1938 period, sparse references and notes can be found in witnesses commemorative volumes, from history of folklore and from the historical press, respectively. Based on the last especially, the image of "first republic" gastronomy is gradually puzzled out. Using a content analysis method, the four biggest newspapers (Lidové noviny, Národní listy, Český deník and Venkov) and eight women journals (Žena, Ženské listy, Ženské noviny, Ženský list, Rozsévačka, Česká Žena, Ženský svět and a "Československá žena" calendar) being published in examined period are investigated. For further findings of completive and linking facts, the historical analysis method is being used as well.
