Renewal of the limekiln in Grygov

The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to design restoration of the Grygov limekiln and to find new use for it and its surroundings. The building is not listed as historical monument, however according to the assignment it is treated as if it was. The project proposes to use the building as a multifunctional object with seasonal service for taking place of social and cultural events with use of the building’s surroundings. The restoration method is pluralistic. The aim is to capture the existing state, restore selected construction and its elements and to bring new objects to fulfil legal requirements. New objects correspond to the technical essence of the building and existing materials. The interventions are designed to be reversible if possible. The proposed interventions help the object to fulfil its potential as important spot near the city of Olomouc.
Multifunctional Centre of Civil Activities

The masters thesis dealt with reconstruction of the complex military garages built in the mid 20th century. The site is located in Brno, close to Peace Square, Lerchova 915/62, Brno-Stránice, 602 00 Brno. Area of land area is 5,384.25 square meters. Reconstruction involves two detached single-storey buildings, the street Lerchova object and the object at the Valley Street. The goal is the maximum possible use of existing quality substructure, which is a combination of internal reinforced concrete frame and brick outer shell. The work is divided into a comprehensive layout of both buildings and detailed sub-project for the construction project on a subject at street Lerchova. Reconstruction of the resolves completely change the layout and especially the concept of architectural design. In terms of architecture, wider relations into account the existing development, which tries to resemble the representation. The building is at street Lerchova basement one floor, built up area is 620.5 square meters. Reconstruction of superstructure solves one floor, making new pitched roof and building a walkway that allows connection between the two objects. Revitalization is due on the requirements of the public and addresses the widespread use of indoor and outdoor spaces as much as possible. It is particularly emphasized promote leisure activities not only public, but especially young people and support for education, mental and physical, education and counseling. We can not forget easily to most complex space by persons with limited mobility.
Apartment building

The aim of the bachelor´s thesis is to design and develop project documentation for a new apartment building. The apartment house is located on a plot in Prostějov. The building is designed as a free – standing building with two above – ground floors and with partial basement. In basement is technical facilities and cellar. There are eight residental units on the upper floors. The apartments in groung floor has garden. The apartment building is based on concrete foundations. The external wall in basement is made of prestressed concrete and in upper floors is made of aerated concrete. The ceilling structure and staircase is made of prestressed ceilling. An elevator is located between the arms of the staircase. The roof is saddle and made of truss girders. The building is insulated with the ETICS contact thermal insulation system.
Osteled 7c-7d Horsens Refurbishment

Project created during study program on VIA university in Denmark gave form to the following bachelor’s thesis which further develops it into the level of building permit documentation and documentation for execution of the project. Object of the study is located in Horsens in a residential area among several identical residential buildings. The project focuses on refurbishing this building and upgrading it’s standards for living with emphasis placed on economical, energetic and social sustainability. The main idea is to preserve the authenticity of the object by respecting original form and materials while adding modern elements. At the same time to provide diverse and pleasurable living spaces in dwellings, connection with greenery and possibilities of social contact of residents. The load bearing structure of the building is preserved, staircase area demolished and replaced by new communication core including stairs and elevators. Roof truss system and roof construction is determined to be replaced. Project is designed as barrier-free.
Equestrian centre Skalka

The aim of this diploma thesis is a design of a horse riding centre. The horse riding centre is situated on the outskirts of the village of Střítež nad Bečvou in the Vsetín district. Within the horse riding centre, there are a main building a swell as horse stables with other equestrian facilities for riders and a riding hall. The main centre building has two above-ground floors. On the ground floor, there is a restaurant and a reception hall. On the first floor, there is a guest house providing rooms with ten beds in total. The main building also includes a private residence for the centre owner. The stables provide fourteen boxes for horses to be stabled. The horse riding centre is designed to play a role of a new tourist attraction in the region. The diploma thesis deals with the main building design. The building is supposed to be bricked with ceramic blocks and roofed with a gable roof but partly also with a flat roof. The thesis also looks into two special features – the design of health-technical installation, gas and water plumbing. Last but not least, it designs a steel roof truss.
Mountain hotel in Velké Losiny

The work deals with the design of a load-bearing wooden structure of a mountain hotel in the foothills of the Jeseníky Mountains. It is a building without cellar, two floors and a attic room. The floor plan of the building is 17 x 30 m with a porch of 3 x 10 m. Height of the building up to the ridge is 13.2 m. The design of the roof structure has been chosen from 2 different variants. Material usage consist of grown wood of class C24, glued laminated wood of class GL32h and steel S355. Static analysis was calculated by Dlubal RFEM software.
Two-generation family house with a yoga hall

The subject of this thesis is the design of a two-generation family house with an establishment. The building is located in Tábor in the cadastral area of Čekanice u Tábora. The building is a two-storey with a partly basement, from a masonry construction system made of sand-lime shaped pieces and in the underground part made of permanent formwork. The roof is from a wooden truss system consisting of 3 saddle roofs and one separate gable roof. Ceiling construction, staircase construction and girders are made from prefabricated components. It consists 2 main ships, connecting part and facilities for the establishment. The yoga room is suitable for people with reduced mobility. There are 2 dwelling units in the building.
Renovation Osterled 7c-7d

The basis of the Bachelor thesis is a project which was designed during study program on VIA University in town Horsens in Denmark. The thesis is developed into the level of building permit documentation and documentation for execution of the project. The object of the study is a four-storey building and a basement. It has a saddle roof. The building is located in the town Horsens. The main idea is to design the building which does not disturb surrounding buildings. That is the reason why facade and roof finishes are in traditional Danish style. One of the most important parts of it is floor plans. The object has 12 flats. The first floor has wheelchair access.
Apartment resort Velke Karlovice

The subject of the bachelor’s thesis is a reconstruction of apartment house and change of its functional utilisation to apartment resort. It is located on the outskirts of Velké Karlovice in CHKO Beskydy. Current object is in the form of two mutually-shifted blocks with slightly inclinated saddle roof. It is created from 3 above-ground floors. In the ground floor are garages and cellars, in second and third are located the apartments, more precisely 8 of them. The main idea of the project was to keep the original object and simplify its fundamental shape. Add and remove something. Proposed changes finishes the fourth floor with four other apartments. Newly the object contains 12 apartments. On the ground floor is cafe, wellness with sauna and inner pool, utility room and cellars. Apartments contain an open plan, one bathroom and one bedroom, every residential room has access to the outside - balcony or loggia. Perimeter walls are combination of original bricks and new ceramic brickwork Porotherm and it is newly insulated with mineral wool. Monolitic reinforced concrete ceiling constructions are original, as well as staircase. New wooden roof truss has been created because of extension of attic floor.
Modelling of traditional timber roof trusses

Bachelor’s thesis "Modelling of traditional timber roof trusses," analyzes the behavior of traditional timber roof trusses. Based on the actual design of roof trusses beam computational models are created, individual structural elements are assessed on the first and second limit state and some connections are considered. For the analysis of planar and three-dimensional model FEM programme SCIA Engineer 2011.1 is used.
