Modern approach to teaching spatial geometry
Bartošová, Eliška ; Surynková, Petra (advisor) ; Boček, Leo (referee)
This work is a collection of solved problems in descriptive geometry, supplemented by elementary theory needed for their solution. The theory includes definitions and elementary properties of polygons and their constructions. Theory about solids, mostly prisms and pyramids, is also included. The second chapter introduces theory of projection, including definitions of projection methods (Monge, center, etc.) and corresponding terms. The second part contains a collection of problems, where each problem is solved in four projection methods (there are problems of construction of a point, line, plane, prism and pyramid). For each problem there is an animation for Lisa Viewer program attached, which makes an integral part of the work. These animations allow to look at figures of the problems interactively and even in three dimensions. There is also a PDF document with problem assignment and solution for each problem, suitable for print. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Mortality projections by cause
Štádlerová, Kateřina ; Kořistka, Jan (advisor) ; Cipra, Tomáš (referee)
The thesis focuses on the mortality projections by causes of death. The thesis includes also the application of such knowledge on the data of the Czech population. The mortality projections are used nowadays more and more often due to the population ageing. The results of this thesis may be interesting both for financial institutions such as insurance companies and for the purposes of certain areas of government policy with regards to the pension planning. So far not many articles have been published in the Czech language, nor are there any published results of similar projections using the data derived from the Czech environment. Separable reduction theorems, systems of projections and retractions
Cúth, Marek ; Kalenda, Ondřej (advisor) ; Kubiš, Wieslaw (referee) ; Spurný, Jiří (referee)
This thesis consists of four research papers. In the first paper we study whether certain properties of sets (functions) are separably determined. In our results we use the "method of elementary submodels". In the second paper we generalize some results concerning Valdivia compacta (equivalently spaces with a commutative retractional skeleton) to the context of spaces with a retractional skeleton (not necessarily commutative). The third paper further studies the structure of spaces with a projectional (resp. retractional) skeleton. Under certain conditions we prove the existence of a "simultaneous projectional skeleton" and we use this result to prove other statements concerning the structure of spaces with a projectional (resp. retractional) skeleton. In the last paper we study the method of elementary submodels in a greater detail and we compare it with the "method of rich families". 1
Geometry of shadows
Tolkunova, Yulianna ; Surynková, Petra (advisor) ; Šarounová, Alena (referee)
Title: Geometry of shadows Author: Yulianna Tolkunova Department: Department of Mathematics Education Supervisor: RNDr. Petra Surynková, Ph.D. Abstract: The present thesis deals with geometric lighting and methods of its construction. In particular, it is directed at parallel lighting. The work includes a theoretical part, in which you can learn about the properties and basic concepts related to geometric lighting. Afterwards, there is a practical part, which contains a set of examples with their solutions and then unsolved examples for independent practice. The project is filled up with a number of pictures to enhance the reader's imagination about the principles and methods of lighting. In my work I emphasized intelligibility and usability of the methods listed there. In general, thesis Geometry of shadows is devoted to everybody who wants to learn more about the geometry of shadows. The work could be a useful study material for students and teachers of descriptive geometry.
Music Communication, Projection and Analogy of Handicapped Children in Music Therapy
Lipský, Matěj ; Květoňová, Lea (advisor) ; Mastnak, Wolfgang (referee) ; Weber, Jana (referee)
/Abstract Music Communication, Projection and Analogy of Handicapped Children in Music Therapy Presented work takes an interest in music contents produced by handicapped children attending music therapy sessions. The contents of music were gained from the children by the method of improvisation, particularly by "concert technique". In the theoretical part we present philosophical background for the music therapy in a field of special education and research. This background thought we have found in a gnoseology of a critical realism and a radical constructivism. Afterwards the definition and description of used music therapy terminology follows. We present three music therapy models that put great emphasis on the contents of music produced by clients. These models are: the German Morphological music therapy, the Dutch Analogical Music Therapy and the Geneape music therapy model from the Czech Republic. We also discuss general possibilities of using music therapy while working with mentally handicapped clients, autistic clients and clients suffering from sight defects, because these kinds of handicaps are included in our research group. At the end of the theoretical part we explain the terms of music communication, projection and music analogy. They are always connected to the contents of music, as...
Macro-Epidemic Modelling: A Deep Learning Approach
Žemlička, Jan ; Slavík, Ctirad (advisor) ; Kapička, Marek (referee)
I develop a novel method for computing globally accurate solutions to recur- sive macro-epidemic models featuring aggregate uncertainty and a potentially large number of state variables. Compared to the previous literature which either restricts attention to perfect-foresight economies amendable to sequence- space representation or focuses on highly simplified, low dimensional models that could can be analyzed using standard dynamic programming and linear projection techniques, I develop a deep learning-based algorithm that can han- dle rich environments featuring both aggregate uncertainty and large numbers of state variables. In addition to solving for particular model equilibria, I show how the deep learning method could be extended to solve for a whole set of models, indexed by the parameters of government policy. By pre-computing the whole equilibrium set, my deep learning method greatly simplifies compu- tation of optimal policies, since it bypasses the need to re-solve the model for many different values of policy parameters. 1
Transparency of voice and light
Hejduk, Adam ; Tomáš,, Svoboda (referee) ; Ambrůz, Jan (advisor)
The diploma thesis entitled Transparency of Voice and Light presents an audiovisual installation, the theme of which is individual reflection of the environment through the creation of fictional stories. In his work, the author also deals with the possibility of overlaps with own previous works and with the creation of a thematic interconnection. The installation links a set of subjective fictional narratives. The installation is scenographic in nature and represents a platform for telling personal statements and ideas.
Interactive web applications supporting education of 3D graphics
Morávek, Jan ; Mokrý, Ondřej (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on computer 3D graphics and the implementation of educational applications in JavaScript language. Discussed topics of computer graphics include object transformations, Bezier patches and the role of the camera in the scene. The thesis describes the basic theory of these areas and educational applications. The thesis also includes the detailed description of the features and the implementation of the created applications. In the end of the thesis possible extensions are discussed.
