The diploma thesis deals with the Nicola tesla Center learning system that develops exceptionally gifted children. The aim od the thesis is to find out to what extent the NTC learning system stimulates the development of a gifted pupil already in preschool age and the possibilities of supporting and exceptionally gifted pupil in primary education. The theoretical part of třhe work describes intelligence, talent and the NTC system itself. The empirical part consists of two stages. The first stage describes the process of education in kindergarten and work with the NTC learning system and identifies in the process of developing talents in children using the system. The methodology of the NTC learning system is used on the kindergarten in the creation of the school educational program and is practically used with the help of individual activities. NTC learning system activities are included in the daily program. The second stage describes how preschool education took place in the monitored children with focus on manifestations of giftedness, whether there were adjustments to preschool education with regard to giftedness. Early reading literacy development of early readers at the beginning of the school attendance Abstract The aim of the dissertation is to monitor the development of the initial reading literacy of early readers, i.e., children who have learned to read with the comprehension before beginning of their school attendance. The aim of the research was to find answers to the questions how and when these children learned to read and how their initial reading literacy and motivation to read developed during the first year of primary school. Subsequently, the subject of the research was the verification of the connection between early reading and intellectual giftedness and family background. The theoretical part is devoted to current trends in primary school, the basic principles of primary education are described with emphasis on personal and constructivist conception of teaching, focusing on the topics of pupil assessment and inclusive education, including the education of gifted and exceptionally gifted students. The term reading literacy is defined, the stages of its development are distinguished and questions concerning reading are discussed, including the results of research on early reading in the Czech and foreign contexts. Talent management in secondary education in the Czech Republic

This thesis deals with the topic of talent management in relation to teaching staff in second- ary education in the Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis is to describe its current state and to find out how talented teachers are cared for in Czech secondary schools and how princi- pals perceive talented teachers and talent management. The thesis defines and puts into context the concepts of teaching staff, teacher stand- ard, talented teacher, talent and giftedness as well as talent management. A newly developed definition of a talented educator is also included. The specifics description of the Czech schools' environment for the talent management implementation in terms of individual pro- cesses is followed by a questionnaire survey. The research results are linked to the context of Czech education and compared with the results of previous investigations of talent man- agement in Czech organisations. The care of Czech teachers is very specific from the talent management perspective. The teaching profession is demanding and Czechia lacks a functional career system and a generally accepted teacher standard. HIGHLY GIFTED GIRLS IN THE FIRST GRADE OF PRIMARY SCHOOL

The thesis focuses on the issue of the education of extremely gifted girls in the first grade of primary school. The aim of the work is to map the issue of educating particularly gifted girls from the perspective of teachers, parents, and the girls themselves. The main aim of theoretical part is to describe the characteristics of gifted girls and the most common problems based on a reserch of Czech and foreign literature. The major focus is set on the issue of gender stereotypes which may influence the self-image of gifted girls and their education process. In practical terms, the case reports several extremely gifted girls in the first grade of primary school from the point of view of individul grils as well as from the point of view of their parents. The practical part includes a discussion with the teachers to map their expectations and experience of educating the gifted girls. The results of the research confirmed the findings from the scientific literature. Girls do not tend to hide their talents if they are being educated in a stimulating conditions and their individual needs are respected. Gifted Students in Geography

This thesis is one of the first in the Czech Republic dealing with the theme of gifted students in geography. The main aim of the thesis is to define the character of gifted grammar school student in geography. This wide and interdisciplinary theme is then divided into several scientific subthemes and questions. The basic theoretical approaches to the definition of gifted students generally and gifted students in geography are discussed in the theoretical background. The research part contains of the content evaluation of the International Geography Olympiad and the outcomes of the structured guided interviews. The content of the questions of the International Geography Olympiad is evaluated through the own constructed structured evaluation and then these questions are compared to the official Czech requirements for the graduation exam in geography. The outcomes of the guided interview are organized and interpreted using the method of the framework analysis. Despite the few problems while getting and analysing the data, there are finally defined the main characteristics of the gifted grammar school student in geography in the summary of this thesis.

3 TITLE: Ways of creativity development in elementary mathematics education SUMMARY: This thesis deals with creativity - from a general concept to a more specific perspective - creativity in mathematics lessons and textbooks at elementary schools in relation to the curriculum method and transformation of a number of textbooks towards unique teaching methods. The aim of this thesis is to describe the current situation on a selected sample of experimental groups - elementary school classes (two of them second year and three of them fourth year) which specialize on integration of pupils with specific learning and behavioral disabilities as well as extraordinarily talented pupils and thus provide the broadest possible range of pupils, which enables to find possible links between the used methods and creative teaching approach including creating one's own teaching materials and consequently searching for possible ways to develop creativity of pupils in relation to used methods, textbooks, other materials and forms of work. This thesis uses the following research methods: quantitative and qualitative research, empirical methods - observation, description, analysis. Gifted pupil in contemporary school

Key words: gift, talent, education of gifted children, teaching methods and forms of working oganization This graduation theses is focused on gifted children and their signs. The theoretical part contains legislature relevant to educating of gifted children in the Czech Republic and various options of the optimalisation of educating process for gifted pupils. It also focus on different methods of recognising gifted children, educating them in school, options of educating and its problems, it deals with the formes of organisation of the teaching methods and basic approaches to educating of gifted pupils. The experimental part of this work is divided into two parts. The first one shows the pupils' oppinion about education, who visit the school for gifted children, the second one contents interview with teachers and examples of the good work with educating children.
