Soul's Space
Janíková, Marika ; Štěpánová, Vanda (referee) ; Mléčka, Jan (advisor)
The diploma thesis responds to the problems associated with the fast way of life and the deterioration of the quality of mental being. The intention is to create a concept of medical facilities serving to soothe the body, mind and soul. The proposal consists of seven architectural interventions in different locations in the centre of Brno. These places have a specific atmosphere, yet they are unused, inaccessible or overlooked. The idea is to make these places accessible, to make them complete and thus to create an opportunity for new experiences, feelings and relations to the environment in which we live. The aim is to bring a new perspective to the creation of medical facilities serving the support, development and treatment of mental health.
The Phenomenon of RPG
BARFUS, Karel
The bachelor thesis deals with the phenomenon of tabletop RPGs. In the form of qualitative research, it explores topics identified in participatory observations and interviews with players. These topics include atmosphere, imagination, relationships between players and game characters and their mutual influence. Next, memories and experiences mentioned by respondents in relation to playing RPGs are discussed.
CARBON Visitor Center
Kukučková, Nina ; Šindlar, Jiljí (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
The designed building should fulfill the function of the visitor‘s first contact with the former black coal mining complex near Frenštát pod Radhoštěm. For this reason, its character should be welcoming, friendly, amiable, it should welcome visitors to the area and at the same time set the desire in them to get to know the area, the region and the Beskydy Mountains more deeply. The visitor center should represent just a small taste of what the area has to offer. The design works with the idea of the atmosphere in a forest, in a mountain environment, in nature therefore it uses natural materials only. The concept uses selected fragments of the forest such as light, space and structure, which are further transformed and reflected in the design.
Classroom climate in kindergarten
BOUBALÍKOVÁ, Andrea
The bachelor thesis is aimed at the issue of classroom climate in kindergarten. The theoretical part is based on professional literature. It presents the school climate, classroom climate and climate actors, especially in the context of kindergarten. The theoretical part also deals with methods of climate diagnostics. The practical part presents a qualitative research, which consists, for example, of observation, interview and analysis of the results of activities. The aim of practical part is to present the possibilities of climate diagnostics in kindergarten, the perception of the classroom clime by kindergarten teachers and teaching assistants.
Games and Game Activities in Teaching French Language
Rubnerová, Jana ; Klinka, Tomáš (advisor) ; Nováková, Sylva (referee)
This thesis deals with method of activation of didactic games and its application into the teaching process. It's focused on the theoretical description and also on the practical use in the teaching of the French language. This method is introduced as one of the ways how to practice language in funny form, but also to gain new knowledge and language skills. We will describe its major aspects and also its place in the curriculum documents as well. We will emphasize its benefits, but also the possible difficulties in its application into the teaching of foreign language. We will mention the process of the game and the atmosphere appropriate to it's use too. In the practical part we will focus on the activities which are suitable for level A0 to A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Atmospheric characteristics of white dwarfs
Krejčová, Kateřina ; Kawka, Adéla (advisor) ; Mayer, Pavel (referee)
We have analyzed the ultraviolet spectra of 40 hydrogen-rich (DA) white dwarfs. These spectra have been obtained with the Far Ultraviolet Spectroscopic Explorer (FUSE) satellite and are publicly available via the MAST FUSE database. We derived the effective temperature and surface gravity by fitting the hydrogen Lyman spectral lines with model spectra. By applying white dwarf evolutionary models, we were able to determine the white dwarf mass, cooling age and absolute magnitude. These then allowed us to determine the distance to each star and its predicted gravitational redshift. We have identified several chemical elements in the white dwarf spectra. We determined the abundances of C, Si, P and S by measuring the equivalent widths of selected lines of these elements. Finally, we studied the spectra of J0623-376 and LM Com in more detail.
Time, material and motion in spatial implementation in the confrontation with public space
Bartoň, Matyáš ; Hůla, Zdenek (advisor) ; Velíšek, Martin (referee)
The bachelor thesis titled 'Time, material and move in space realizations in public space', subtitle: Conception of blind people - provides a description and assessment of possible approach from the lecturer to blind client and the communicating during the process of creating the sculpture. The theoretical part deals with possibilities of the object in public space described by authors approaches. This part is followed a non-complicated classification of the blind people and the description of a methodical activity with them. The following part is a practical part. It is a description of the creating the sculpture with blind student and the process of installing the object to the public space. This experience and the result of this cooperation is the important part of the final project for extracurricural surrounding as described in the last part of this bachelor thesis.

The master thesis is divided into two parts, the first part is theoretical and the second one practical. It the theoretical part the main focus is dedicated to an explanation of the terms concerning the theme. The thesis deals with the methods of diagnostics in a class climate. The second part, the practical one, consists of the research held in the school classes of the conventional and alternative type. The research is considered to be a quantitative analysis and its research instrument is a questionnaire. The practical part is intended as a comparison between the climate in the both types of schools. The main goal of the master thesis is firstly to compare school climate in the alternative and conventional school. Secondly the master thesis should interpret the discovered information.
