Perspectives of Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership: benefits and potential risks
Bednář, Milan ; Ševčíková, Michaela (advisor) ; Zamrazilová, Eva (referee)
It is possible that the economic condition of Europe after the global financial crisis of 2008-2009 prompted idea of trade liberalization. This diploma thesis deals with the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP), a proposed free trade agreement between the European Union and the United States of America. Main goal of the thesis is to provide economic evaluation of the deal, and to assess the claim that TTIP would be beneficial for the European Union member states. Main used method is a theoretical analysis supplemented by regression analysis. The theoretical part is focused on basic economic principles of international trade and related concepts. Main tools used to assess this agreement are described in more detail as well. The analytical part deals with economic linkages between the two regions, with emphasis on the development and current status of non-tariff barriers to trade. The thesis also contains a summary of potential benefits and risks. Finally, a potential impact of TTIP on the Czech Republic and the issue of Brexit is presented. The European Union and the United States of America are linked by strong economic ties. However, trade barriers between those two entities still exist and hamper international trade. The analysis indicates that if the contract was to be impactful and significant, it must focus on a substantial reduction of bilateral non-tariff barriers to trade. This implies that TTIP could interfere with sectoral regulations. In addition, it is not certain that achieved revenues would be automatically higher than costs given the number of perceived risks. Panel data gravity models are used to quantify the potential impact of trade liberalization on export of goods of the EU28 countries to the USA. Significant elimination of trade barriers could increase EU exports to the USA by more than 20%.

Assessment of the Impact of Thermal Insulation Performance of the Primary School in Dobruška on its Running Expenses
Marešová, Jana ; Bittner, Oldřich (referee) ; Klika, Pavel (advisor)
My diploma thesis is foceused on evaluation of return of the investment based on the laster insulation together with the filling of the open space and the usage of the back gained heat. For my calculation I used the real building of the basic school Františka Kupky in Dobruška. It is a typical building extended to the whole area of Czech Republic. The realization of the building was finished in 1994. I deal with more variants of more widths of the insulation system in my work. In every single draft is counted with costs for buying of the insulation and the exchange of the filling of the opern spaces. Every draft is counted with the usage of the back gained heat. The biggest benefit was found in the insulation of the 180 mm perimeter wall and the 280 mm of the roofing sytem. Windows and door had the same number of the heating 0.8 W/m2k. In the experimental calculation with the most advantages the conclusion was made that on the heat loss of thr object is the most influential the filling of the open spaces and the facilities for the back gained heat, too. Because it is a typical building, my diploma thesis could work as a background for the draft of the elimination of the heat loss at the buildings with the same shape and usage.

Design of VUT200 TwinCobra landing gear
Novák, Josef ; Horák, Marek (referee) ; Katrňák, Tomáš (advisor)
The goal of following master thesis is to design variety of configuration and retraction options of VUT200 TwinCobra landing gear. For each option are a wheel base and a gauge set up by possibility of main landing gear retraction. Next, CS 23 demands and stress analysis are followed. There is a view of twin engine aircraft landing gear disclosed as well.

Design of magnetorheological clutch.
Nováček, Vladislav ; Dočkal, Aleš (referee) ; Roupec, Jakub (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of the magnetorheological (MR) clutch. The extensive literature research with particular conclusions to each design variant of MR clutches or brakes has been done in the first part of the thesis. The second part of the thesis describes the design of the actual MR clutch based on the results of the analytical calculation of the magnetic circuit. Finally, the experiments verifying the function of the key segments of the clutch, and the whole clutch are summarized in the third part of the thesis.

Plumbing Systems with Low Water and Energy Consumption
Nikrmajer, Vojtěch ; Vrána, Jakub (referee) ; Bárta, Ladislav (advisor)
The thesis deals with energy-saving plumbing systems. It is divided into three parts: task analysis, applications theme on the building and experiment. In the first part are described the possibilities of saving water and energy in the plumbing systems. The second part contains a comparison of some variants of saving solution water supply system and sanitary drainage system at the hotel. Part of the experiment investigates the water consumption for washing hands in addiction: the pressure in the water supply system and the type of mixing valves.

The valuation of the company Pivovary Staropramen, a.s.
Zbožínek, Pavel ; Kislingerová, Eva (advisor) ; Sieber, Martina (referee)
The main objective of this thesis is to determine market value of the company Pivovary Staropramen, a.s. before the merger. Master's thesis is divided into two parts - methodological and practical. Methodological part includes individual steps a procedures, that are used to total value determination of the company. Practical part of the thesis consists especially of strategic and financial analysis, financial planning and company valuation. There is used the model DCF in variant FCFF to determine the market value. For the comparison there is used the book value method. At the end of the thesis there is performed a sensitivity analysis on value growth.

Reporting of websites under IFRS
Hort, Jan ; Procházka, David (advisor) ; Pelák, Jiří (referee)
The aim of the thesis is to analyze reporting of websites under IFRS. The text focuses on the reporting requirements according to fact how a website was acquired and what its purpose. Three variants are discussed: self-creation of a website, sale and purchase of a website and also leasing a website. The practical part examines the reporting of intangible assets (especially software) in financial statements of four selected companies. It also provides a brief comparison of reporting of intangible assets under Czech accounting rules and under IFRS.

Structure Analysis of Plant Bifunctional Nuclease TBN1
Kovaľ, Tomáš ; Dohnálek, Jan (advisor) ; Brynda, Jiří (referee) ; Schneider, Bohdan (referee)
This work is dedicated to thorough structural analysis of plant bifunctional nuclease TBN1, the representative of plant nuclease I group. TBN1 along with homologous nucleases from this family plays an important role in plant cell life cycle and also shows considerable anticancerogenic effects. Two variants of TBN1 (wild type and N211D mutant) were studied. Properties of both variants in different solutions were analyzed. Both were successfully crystallized. Structures of both types of TBN1 were solved using X-ray diffraction. The phase problem was solved by Multi-wavelength anomalous dispersion using Zn2+ ions natively present in TBN1. Structural properties of TBN1 such as fold, active site composition, effect of glycosylation and surface electrostatic potential distribution were analyzed. Reaction mechanism of TBN1 was proposed on the basis of structural properties and comparisons with similar structures.

Energy evaluation of office building.
Lysková, Markéta ; Horák, Petr (referee) ; Adam, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis is dealing with energy audit of industrial building with administration part, situated in Blansko, South Moravia region. The theoretical part is focused to windows from the energy balance point of view, because one of the energy saving measures is the change of current insufficient window filling. The main objective of this diploma thesis is to find the most energy saving variant which is going to be evaluated from the both, ecological and economical, aspect. The third part is dedicated to usage of computer technology as software for 3D model creating of assessed building or energy consumption simulation for particular systems as heating in relation to characters of different kinds of windows.
