Fundaments of IT thinking
Jelínek, Jakub ; Pyrih, Pavel (advisor) ; Obdržálek, David (referee)
In the propounded work author presents results of his looking for important informatics thinking features, its fundaments. He divides these fundaments into two categories - static and dynamic. Static fundaments represent basic building material that the informatics world is built from. As static fundaments are considered information, time, room and money. Dynamic fundaments express basic "active factors" which are using static fundaments and are transforming them, creating so more complicated elements of informatics. As dynamic fundaments are considered abstraction, iteration and recursion, metasyntactic variables, universality, simplicity and inspiration.

Zend Framework
Kutišová, Magda ; Pavlíčková, Jarmila (advisor) ; Oraný, Vladimír (referee)
The diploma thesis compares first and second version of the PHP framework Zend Framework. It examines framework architecture and technology changes that were brought about by its second version released stable in September 2012. It demonstrates the changes using a practical example application and evaluates them by a set of diverse criteria. The introductory part of the thesis characterizes and classifies web frameworks and determines their place among other software frameworks. In the subsequent part the thesis looks into fundamental characteristics and history of Zend Framework and puts it into its place among web frameworks based on their previous classification. The practical part, that represents the majority of thesis, demonstrates the differences between the first and the second version of Zend Framework using the example application, starting with framework installation and configuration, describing its architecture and ending with evaluation of its speed and security.

Diplomatic Immunities vs Human Rights
Olahová, Kateřina ; Trávníčková, Zuzana (advisor) ; Sladký, Pavel (referee)
This thesis aims at description and analyses of the position of diplomatic immunities and human rights in international law, focusing on areas where these two sets of international rules clash. One objective of this work is an attempt to establish a hierarchy between norms granting diplomatic immunities and those protecting fundamental human rights, which could possibly resolve the collision. This solution, however, narrows down to one of most general principles of diplomatic relations, the principal of reciprocity. Mentioned are also some alternative approaches suggested for resolution of this conflict together with the obstacles, which prevent them from use. The thesis further looks at possible remedies against abuse of diplomatic immunity.

Prevention of cervical cancer
Mork, Birgitte ; Šafář, Petr (advisor)
Cervical cancer is one of the few cancers where incidence and mortality have been falling within the last decades. It is natural to look at this in combination with the simple screening tool used for detection. A simple test can prove the early stages of cancer, and by this detection, early treatment can be initiated and death prevented. National screening programs have been started in Norway and many other countries, which both inform women about risk factors for cervical cancer and symptoms of the disease and screen them for early detection of the cancer at regular intervals. Combined, these preventive measures have been proven to reduce both the incidence and mortality of cervical cancer in the countries where they have been introduced. Many studies have shown that the most probable cause of cervical cancer is the presence of Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). Recently, pharmaceutical companies have developed vaccines against the most common causative agents of cervical cancer - HPV-16 and HPV-18. The introduction of this vaccine, mainly to young girls before their sexual debut (9-12 years), is expected to reduce the incidence even further. Some countries have already included this vaccine in their national vaccination program, whereas in other countries the vaccine has to be purchased by the individual...

Singularities in annual cycle of climatic variables, their long-term changes and relationships to atmospheric circulation
Radová, Michaela ; Kyselý, Jan (advisor) ; Kalvová, Jaroslava (referee)
In this thesis a statistical detection of singularities (strong deviations from the smoothed mean annual cycle of a climatic variable) was performed on the basis of mean daily air temperature at the Prague - Klementinum station over the period 1881-2000. A temporal stability of all singularities was investigated, and probabilities of the occurrence of the strongest ones and some of the most often mentioned ones were determined. Long-term changes of occurrence of these singularities and their relationships to atmospheric circulation were analyzed. The results show that the temporal stability (annual recurrence as well as regular occurrence at specific calendar days of a year) cannot be assumed for most singularities. Moreover, some of the singularities found using this procedure can generally be just statistical properties of a chosen sampling without relationships e.g. to circulation conditions. That is why it is not proper to look for singularities tied closely to a specific date and use only one reference period for their detection. Variability of atmospheric circulation is the main source of long-term changes of the occurrence of examined singularities.

Binders and Mixtures Based on Calcium Sulfate
Hanáček, Jan ; Smetanová,, Lenka (referee) ; Gazdič, Dominik (advisor)
This Diploma Thesis deals with the research and advancements in the field of sulphate binders, especially the anhydrite binder. The theoretical part of the thesis is dedicated to the fundamentals of sulphate binders and anhydrite binders. Its second part also introduces standard requirements for screed coatings together with technological methods of their application. Practical part of the thesis looks at the research and production of anhydrite binder with special emphasis on self-levelling compounds. Various types of plasticizers were used in these compounds and their effectiveness and final product quality are compared.

Blind spot
Ondráček, Radim ; Král, Oldřich (referee) ; Petříček, Miroslav (advisor)
The goal of this dissertation is to adumbrate - with the help of few renowned philosophers - the limits of reflexive thinking and to show the fundamentally invisible. Herewith it partially ends up in area of certain non-Iogicalness This work primarily deals with a very important phenomenon, which brings us to the limit of (non)thinkable and (non)visible. It is the phenomenon of blind spot that enables to demonstrate the margin of phenomenology and reflexive thinking in one of its cleanest forms. We ask one important question: How to reflect and phenomenise blind spot? It is not a simple task. The result is the analysis of non-substitutable experience which cannot be replaced neither by any thesis nor by any objective proof. It is just openness to inner disputableness and inabi1ity to describe the experience. The conc1usion is not a proposition but an appeal to the actual readers. They should take a close look themselves and try to determine their blind spot. This work has tried to open the door for this phenomenon and also for another way of thinking which is not so typical of us, for the zen.

Měšťanová, Kateřina ; Slanec, Jaroslav (referee) ; Němcová Tejkalová, Alice (advisor)
Today's role of wife of the president continues the tradition of Czechoslovak first ladies of the First Republic era. The president's wife achieves a certain level of status and is known through the media. However, it is important to note that this title is still not codified in this country, it is an unpaid function and in consequence, there are no official requirements for specific roles which the first lady of the Czech Republic should fulfil. Despite this, it is evident that she becomes involved in the public life and therefore she will probably have various roles applied to her. The object of this thesis is to assess - through the example of Livia Klausová - in what way is the first lady presented to the readers of Mladá fronta DNES, which can be classified as a serious Czech newspaper. The aim of this thesis is to describe, based on selected newspaper articles, the specific roles in which Livia Klausová appeared in the daily paper during the first presidential mandate of Václav Klaus in the years 2003-2008. Accurate results are achieved by content qualitative analysis of selected newspaper texts of the daily paper Mladá fronta DNES. A fundamental element of the thesis is the usage of specialized foreign literature concerning first ladies, which will be used also for the final comparison of the...
