Bosnian crisis 1908-1909

The Bosnian crisis is one of the most important milestones on the way to the First World War. It is because this act of Austria-Hungary totaly destroyed a chance to create a Austro-Russian rapprochement on the Balkans. From this crisis the rivalry between these two empires fully started and it was this rivalry, which caused the collapse ofEuropean diplomatic system in July 1914. The aim ofthis work is to analyze all the circumstances and conditions, which influenced the decision of Vienna to take this action and how and why this action ruined the long termed policy of Austro-Russian entente.

In this project there are some problems after the Second world war - especially political, cultural and ethnic transformations in the years 1945 or 1946. Other questions are solved in that project, which were not elaborated or very little. For example: František Rajman, who was the chairman of the city (1945 to 1946), perpetrated the suicide. The representation of the political parties in the government of the city and the district. In the attachment there are a lot of photos, tables, maps and articles.

The Theme of Childhood in Anton Chekhov's Literary Production

Cette thse porte sur les oeuvres d'Anton Tchékhov le sujet desquelles est l'enfant et l'enfance. L'enfance est présentée dans des situations tout fait différentes : l'enfant est confronté pour la premire fois avec une situation nouvelle; on l'observe comment il se comporte dans le groupe des enfants du mme âge; on voit des obscurités des caractres enfantins; on fait connaître des conditions sociales (des orphelins, des enfants des exilés Sachalin, la dureté du travail enfantin) et des problmes intergénérationnels. Les parties inséparables de l'enfance sont aussi la perception du monde des adultes et le chemin de l'enfant la rencontre de la nouvelle vie. Dans les oeuvres de Tchékhov se reflte l'enfance de comment s'en souviennent les adultes. Les oeuvres avec des héros enfantins sont aussi analysées du point de vue des procédés narratifs de l'auteur. De ce qu'on vient d'analyser, l'enfance n'est pas seulement le sujet de la narration (sociale, psychique, ontologique) mais aussi la manire spécifique de la perception de la réalité et le mode d'image de l'idéal esthétique. L'enfantobservateur est présent dans les premires oeuvres aussi bien que dans les oeuvres tardives de Tchékhov. Arab Revolt in Palestine (1936-1939). A Contribution to the History of the Jewish-Arab Conflict in the Middle East.

This contribution focuses on the Arab revolt in Palestine in the years 1936-1939. This uprising was a breakpoint in the Arab-Jewish coexistence and its consequences affected the rest of the British Mandate period. This contribution shows how the Yishuv's attitudes changed towards Arabs, while Arabs attacked Jewish settlements and inhabitants and sabotaging the economy. Revolt was a result of a persisting long-term Arab frustration which arose from fear of Jewish domination and desire for sovereignty. Some parts also refer to British reactions and searching for solution of the crisis. Policy of Great Britain as a mandatory power depended on many aspects of current situation in the Middle East and in Europe. The neighbouring Arab lands, which either reached their independence in the past, or struggled for it, did not have a common and stable opinion in the question of uprising. Their response was important for Britain to solve the problem. The first chapter concentrates on long-term and short-term reasons for the revolt. V centru pozornosti Juana Car10se Onettiho jsou v jeho prvním tvůrčím období lidé, muži nebo ženy, kteří si snaží uchránit zbytek vlastní identity před okolním světem, popřípadě Sl ve své fantazii vymýšlejí identitu novou, aby pak byli schopni nalézt integritu a dosáhnout pocitu štěstí. Je jen otázkou čtenářovy ochoty ponořit se do skrytého smyslu bloumání těchto postav, jejich zdánlivé nečinnosti, snění a prvoplánové odevzdanosti. Skutečné příběhy se totiž u Onettiho odehrá vaj í jako by za povídkami samotnými, čtenář je musí vytušit, zrekonstruovat, domyslet si je a vtisknout jim smysl na základě své osobní pravdy. V tom spočívá výjimečnost a originalita Juana Carlose Onettiho a jeho povídek, patrná již v námi vymezeném období. Děj je v prvních povídkách redukován, Onetti Jen velice pomalu sděluje svá svědectví. Oproti pozdějším románům jsou povídky méně kruté a temné, dokonce v nich můžeme rozpoznat záblesky naděj e a důvěry, které hrdinové románů nemohou poskytovat ani přijímat. Onetti využívá techniku, která je výsostná pro básníky. Mario Benedetti výstižně poznamenává, že básník může považovat za samozřej mé příběhy, které zná jen on nebo jeho stín (v mnoh ých případech jen jeho stín), a na tyto příběhy pak mezi řádky odkazovat. Austria, Muhammad Ali and the Middle East crisis 1839-1841

Po roce 1815 byla vojenská expanze habsburské říše na Balkánském poloostrově definitivně nahrazena politickou spoluprací s Konstantinopolí a ekonomickou expanzí rakouských firem v Orientu. Zde byl v této době nesporně nejvýznamnějším obchodním partnerem Egypt, kde po konsolidaci vnitřních poměrů došlo k zásadním hospodářským a administrativním reformám a na poměry Blízkého východu k nevídané 5 průmyslové revoluci. Iniciátorem těchto změn byl mimořádně schopný místodržící této provincie Muhammad Alí. Právě vztah rakouského kancléře Klemense Václava Lothara knížete Metternicha k jeho osobě a zároveň k Osmanské říši v letech 1839-1841 je ústředním tématem této diplomové práce. V tomto období byl poklidný vývoj na Blízkém východě a v Evropě narušen válkou mezi sultánem a Muhammadem Alím. V jednu chvíli se dokonce zdálo, že úspěchy egyptského vládce zničí celistvost říše a zároveň mír mezi velmocemi. Tato krize se tak stala jednou z nejvýznamnějších událostí doby předbřeznové. Mým záměrem je v první řadě podat ucelený obraz rakouské politiky v jejím průběhu a vysvětlit Metternichovy názory na jednotlivé události odehrávající se jak v Turecku, tak i v Evropě. Rovněž osobnost Muhammada Alího nemá a nemůže zůstat v kontextu této problematiky pouze okrajovou záležitostí a je nezbytné se jí věnovat podrobněji, neboť...

Cílem této diplomové práce je popsat a analyzovat marketingovou strategii asistenční společnosti Europ Assistance, na tomto konkrétním příkladu uvést specifika marketingu služeb a nalézt odpověď na otázku, čím je navíc odlišný marketing společností poskytujících asistenční služby. Diplomová práce obsahuje charakteristiku služeb, popisuje odvětví asistence a jednotlivých forem asistenčních služeb. Dále prezentuje hlavní firmy na trhu asistence. V hlavní části se zaměřuje na prezentaci a historii společnosti Europ Assistance, její novou strategii a její promítnutí do regionální organizace společnosti, jejích aktivit a proměně firemní identity společnosti.

UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules and their application in practice The purpose of the thesis is to analyse the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules and the ways they are applied and interpreted by parties of dispute and arbitrators in international commercial arbitration. The thesis is divided into two parts. In the fist part the basic principles and legal framework of international commercial arbitration are described. Differences between institutional arbitration and ad hoc arbitration are discussed and special chapters are dedicated to permanent arbitration courts in the Czech Republic and important international arbitration institutions. Second part begins by discussion of the UNCITRAL Commission history and describes historical development of the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules. Analysis of individual articles follows. With some articles there is established common international practice regarding their application or interpretation in international commercial arbitration. In such cases these practices and interpretations are discussed in more detail. Some articles of the revised 2010 version of the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules are significantly different compared to the 1976 version of the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules. Methods of exchange rate analysis and an application of the equilibrium exchange rate model on selected currencies

The thesis deals with the fundamental analysis of exchange rates of CZK/EUR, GBP/EUR and PLN/EUR. First, the validity of uncovered interest rate parity is tested in the empirical part using the method of least squares. The same econometric method is applied for testing of the validity of the relative version of purchasing power parity. The tested theories are rejected based on the outcome of the empirical models. Another part of the study is estimating the equilibrium exchange rate using the vector autoregression model. The data of inflation, real exchange rate, and interest rate of treasury bills are utilized. The model is statistically significant in case of the Czech Republic and Poland. The real exchange rates of these countries have similar deviations from the equilibrium level in the period before the financial crisis and in at the beginning of the crisis. However, for the UK the model is not statistically significant.

Marketing strategy for chosen company

The goal of this diploma thesis was to create a new marketing strategy for the chosen company. The company is seated in Prague and has been in the coffee industry business since 2003. The thesis was written to fulfill academic standards and to be a practical guide for the company itself. The first part of the thesis is the theoretical part containing theoretical principals of company strategy, situational analysis and marketing mix. In the second part we applied theory, real data, internal company workshops and our own survey to create a marketing strategy. The goal of the diploma thesis was fulfilled by creating a marketing strategy based on the company´s identity and values, carrying out a situational and market analysis and creation of a marketing mix.
