Erva, Martin ; Soukup, Jaromír (referee) ; Kovář, Martin (advisor)
After the W orld War II, one of the biggest socialistic experiments in the democratic world started in the United Kingdom: nationalization. The Labour Party landslide victory in the general election of 1945 was more than just a change of government. First time in history Labour Party came to power with a majority in the House of Commons. As a result of these processes the Labour ministers launched nationalization programme. However, these processes have deeper roots. Nationalization without protests was possible after many years of changes within the British population. The perception of property rights, freedom and role of astate was different than twenty years ago. We have to go back to a period of the Great War, when Great Britain started with reforms of astate that were inspired by Germany. Functions ofthe state were reorganized along German 1ines. Paradoxically, "German's succes" in the World War was a main reason for it. Furthermore, Labour Party had strongly believed in nationa1ization from the times of KarI Marx. For Labour Party nationalisation had been a necessary condition for a socialistic society. The dangerest attack on the freedom and property rights came from the middle way activists, economists and politicians 1ike J.M. Keynes, W. Beveridge and others.

Semantic web - the ontological future Internet
Piňos, Eduard ; Šlerka, Josef (advisor) ; Souček, Jiří (referee)
The theme of this thesis is a description of the history, current state and the future development of the semantic web and its technologies within the assumptions of World Wide Web Consortium - W3C. It mainly covers the principles of this concept in correlation with an unfulfilled potential of World Wide Web in the area of information retrieval using machinereadable data. The first part of the text provides deeper information about logical basis and technological aspects of the semantic web. Above all it deals with the basic data model for most of the semantic languages and applications - the RDF (Resource Description Framework) and the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) used for the identification of web based or even non-web based resources. The second part of the thesis deals with some basic facts of the problems of the semantic web to gain mass support for its development. Among this there is a broader description of the most important contemporary semantic applications, including the leading one - the DBpedia knowledge base created by several German universities. In the last part the philosophical connotations linked to the transformation of user experience within the semantic web are mentioned, so as is the overall impact on the web community and the global society.

Choreografie a její výuka
Veverková, Kateřina ; Eliášová, Bohumíra (advisor) ; Eliášová, Bohumíra (advisor) ; Wiesner, Daniel (referee)
I spent long hours pondering about the topic of my master degree dissertation. I did not intend to opt for personality from the sphere of art, and thus the choice of the topic was not too easy. I searched for the subject about which not much has been written up to now and which would be closely related to my subject of study ? and that is choreography. I intended to take my own experience as a basis and get some inspiration from literature. Therefore I opted for topic Choreography and Teaching Choreography. However, following consultation with my dissertation tutor Mirka Eliášová I found out that literature needs to be taken as a basis to a larger extent than I initially assumed. I have endeavoured to understand and gather views of several choreographers and pedagogues and then bring them together as one entirety. Those concerned were primarily Jiřina Mlíkovská, Doris Humphreyová, Jarmila Kröschlová and Štefan Nosál. I do not intend to list out and describe individual etudes that shall be performed during the teaching of choreography; my goal rather comprises comprehensive view on choreography and possibilities of teaching it. I also deal with many elements that are closely related to the choreography and the person of a choreographer. Some of these elements are elaborated into more details; some are addressed as a marginal subject only. Topics, which are more extensive and more detailed I consider the most important ones in relation to the choreography. In addition to many books and university mimeographed I would like to proceed from my observations and experience, which I acquired mainly during my studies at the Music Faculty of Academy of Performing Arts. Other sources for my work will also include seminars that I undertook during dancing expertise. My dissertation thus includes also my personal experience, views and observations, which I acquired in the sphere of choreography not only as an author but also as the performer. My dissertation also includes brief characteristics of choreography development and the person of choreographer as such, so that the choreographer?s function in the course of history becomes obvious.

The state's essence and function in the Social Teaching of the Church
Šabatka, Michal ; Kolář, Petr (advisor) ; Kučera, Rudolf (referee)
Over a century of the Catholic C hurch's social teaching is a topic of many economical and sociological studies. However, there is an absence of a compact political scientific view on the basis and principles of the Church's social doctrine. A description and evolution of the dimensions of the C hurch's social teaching seen from the view of political is the topic of this thesis. The C hurch's social teaching represents a compact group of documents, although different in some details, in which the Catholic Church expresses its view on economical and political aspects of human existence. A primary resource for C h u rch 's teaching in this field is the aristotle-thomistic philosophical reflexion of human social existence that considers some human anthropological natures to be essential for a determination of his social existence. The subject of the C hurch's social doctrine therefore represents a compact system in its historical perspective suited to its historical operation.
