The transformation of public international law into national law according to the Czech and the German constitution
Ingelkofer, Sandra ; Šturma, Pavel (advisor) ; Hýbnerová, Stanislava (referee)
85 E. Závěr Při porovnání Ústavy ČR a Základního zákona SRN, i přes snahu sjednocování právních systémů přistoupením do ES/EU, nacházíme stále značné rozdíly. 2 Ústavy ČR a čl. 25 Základního zákona SRN.

The Czechoslovak-Polish dispute over Javorina within the billateral relations of the inter-war period (1921-1939)
Jakubec, Pavol ; Nálevka, Vladimír (advisor) ; Horčička, Václav (referee)
In this study, an interesting chapter of Czechoslovak foreign policy linked with the High Tatras region in the north of present-day Slovakia is questioned - Polish-Czechoslovak dispute on Javorina. Unique natural setting of this mountainous pocket and a bit non-standard ethnical conditions of the periphery (the locals were at best amidst their identification with a modern political nation) played their part in the collision of Czechoslovak and Polish aspirations. The following dispute has broken twice in the inter-war period, thus being a question of recurring interest. Though not of a decisive importance, the Javorina question was one of symptomatic dissonances in the relations between Prague and Warsaw. The story of the controversy about the village and its environs goes back to the formative months of the both Slavic states succeeding the Austro-Hungarian monarchy. In absence of Czechoslovakian troops, the whole country of northern Scepusia (better-known in German as Zips), as far as the towns of Stará Ľubovňa and Kežmarok on the river Poprad, was taken over by Polish troops in November-December 1918. Czechoslovakia did not want to give up the territory at any rate, and, with a slight delay, examined a local campaign to push the Poles north of historical Galician-Hungarian border. Collision was presented...

Martykánová, Zuzana ; Nekvapil, Jiří (referee) ; Dovalil, Vít (advisor)
This thesis presents the language policy of the German Empire in Alsace from 1871 to 1918. The language situation and its transformations are described as a result of the influence of language planning / language policy. For this research, discourse consists of corresponding documents related to language use; drawing on the language management theory, they are primarily classified according to the individual phases of language management. Changes in the linguistic situation and the nature of the German language policy are shown based on alterations of the language use in domains such as education, administration, provincial council, justice, military, or church and in the fields of proper names, toponyms, and inscriptions. In the process of language management, language production in those areas is managed by evaluation and by various correction measures in consequence of noting of the deviation from a norm. In the domain of education, the acquisition planning, German progressively became the sole language of education in many schools; despite the effort of Alsatians, French was taught only exceptionally. In administration, German shifted to the position of the primary language although French was permitted in some communes as an official language. In the provincial council, the period of bilingualism...

Pudlačová, Šárka ; Patěk, Daniel (referee) ; Černá, Stanislava (advisor)
Czech and European law of groups Résumé: We are in a time of dynamic evolution. It comes to integration and globalisation. Groups of companies are usual economic phenomenon. Groups of companies are to be seen as a legitimate way of doing business. They bring the positive aspects, for example economize costs. But they bring the negative aspects too. They may present specific risk for shareholders and creditors in various ways. It is necessity to have a good regulation of groups for legal protection third subjects. My dissertation work is about groups of companies and their regulation in Czech and European rule of law. Our rule of law is influenced by European rule of law. I describe regulation of this problem in other rules of law at first. I selected French and German regulations of this problem because these regulations are more or less a model for the others. A foundation of German regulation is on wide protection of shareholders, creditors and incorporate companies after a formation of group. German regulation differentiates real groups from contractual groups and consequences which are connecting with them. French system of regulation groups is standing on Rozemblum conception. It is the conception which results from a judgement of a court. In this case a mother company can give daughter company...

The bachelor thesis focuses on postwar inflation in Germany and on how the inflation moved up to hyperinflation. In the first part I would like to analyze the period to the year of 1914. How the central bank of German Empire functioned and in what condition had public finance occured before the war. The other parts deal with the course of war and postwar period in Weimar republic to the year of 1923. I tried to clarify, which sources were used by german government to finance the war and what role played here the central bank. I also consider, what influence had the total sum of reparation payments on deepening the inflation in Germany, which were set by Treaty of Versailles. In conclusion, I will summarize the stabilizing effect of german currency.

Engelbert Dollfuss and the Central Europe 1932-1933
Šepták, Miroslav ; Stellner, František (advisor) ; Horčička, Václav (referee)
The diploma paper which I was elaborating is focused on the first year of the governance Austrian chancellor Engelbert Doll fuss. Data of that governance were taken from unpublished sources of Czech, Austrian and German province as well as from published Czech, Austrian and German sources. In area of economy he decided to apply the strict deflation policy as a result of big economic depression. Business strategy of such country led to the only one effort - to sign new business agreements established on preferential base. At the beginning of Dollfuss's governance there existed a possibility of big coalition with social democrats but step by step the ideological difference was increasing. The more threat was coming from Nazism the more isolated Austrian policy turned. The chancellor was trying to strengthen political power of parliamentary majority which was very weak. Unsuccessfully. This non success made him put his mind to the alternative form of regime. The piece of luck helped him to get out from unpleasant situation. He took advantage of formal lack of Austrian pluralism and was continually setting up authoritative regime. In area of foreign policy he reduced options of Danube's federation as well as orientation to France because he didn't consider these possibilities profitable for Austria. He had...

Hlobilová, Lucie ; Druláková, Radka (advisor) ; Veselý, Zdeněk (referee)
This theses examines the franco-german relations in the context of "new generation" of politicians - french president Jacques Chirac and german chancellor Gerhard Schroeder. They both influenced franco-german relations in different way than it used to be. Friendly post-war relations, opened to compromises on behalf of european integration were replaced by cold and vehement enforcement of national interests. The aim of the work was to confirm or disprove this change and eventually how and in which way it has influenced the process of European integration.
