Possibilities in presentation of geological databases in Regional Geology teaching
Trubač, Jakub ; Kachlík, Václav (advisor) ; Drahota, Petr (referee)
The thesis deals with the possibilities of presentation of geological information in the field of regional geology. The main aim of the thesis is to create the proposal of On-line Textbook in Regional Geology which can be used as a learning resource for universities, experts and all interested people. There had not been paid enough attention to the geology subject within the basic and secondary schools curriculum for last years. Geology was the part of other taught subjects. Nevertheless, there were initiatives that allowed to find new space for geology subject that has been realizing especially within frame educational programme at grammar schools. There are many resources that can be used during the educational process of regional geology such as traditional textbooks, expert compendiums, but also modern aplication in the form of internet projects. Unfortunatelly, current accesible web applications are not updated and do not include modern findings and knowledge. The proposal of On-line textbook represents the core topic of the thesis. This concept is being developed with the support of the Czech Geological Survey (CGS) in collaboration with the Faculty of Science at Charles University in Prague. There is the connection with CGS portal which is the main communication interface with the user. CGS portal...

Šmolíková, Jana ; Rymeš, Milan (advisor) ; Michalík, David (referee) ; Kořán, Martin (referee)
5 Abstract The dissertation thesis in the first part is focused on psychological causes of accidents and the possibilities of psychological prevention. The advantages of various theories and the importance of intervention programs are emphasized. Author bring the overview of knowledge for two focus group, about changes of abilities of older driver and knowledge about risky driving, which can lead to negative effects during driving. In the second empirical part attitudes and behavior of 655 drivers using three questionnaires were explored. Czech version of Driver Anger Scale Questionnaire, used for discovering frustration and type with frequency of anger in traffic situations, Driver Behaviour Questionnaire, used for discovering different kinds of errors of behavior and their frequency, and Brief Inventory of Small Errors, which is concerned on smaller errors and their frequency. The purpose of present study was also to test DBQ and DAS through correlations with the SPARO Personality Inventory and WRBTV test for risky behavior. The results show that these methods can be recommended for risky driving assessment and intervention programs.
Animation of Graph Algorithms in MonoGame
Popek, Michal ; Pergel, Martin (advisor) ; Kopecký, Michal (referee)
The result of this bachelor thesis is an application for teaching graph algorithms intended to be used at technically oriented high schools and universities. The application comes with a proprietary language Cb, which is used to write before mentioned graph algorithms. In this text we shall discuss processing and presentation of algorithms, thus we will take a look at compiler and its construction and stepping of algorithms during run time. To draw the graphs we use force-directed graph drawing algorithms for generating the layout of graphs automatically on a computer screen. 1
The Prague Spring International Music Festival in 1990
Januszová, Anežka ; Havelková, Tereza (advisor) ; Kratochvíl, Matěj (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with the functioning of the Prague Spring International Music Festival in the period after the Velvet Revolution. In May and June 1990, the 45th edition of the festival took place in an atmosphere of cultural and political changes that fundamentally influenced the negotiations on its new form and subsequent direction in the coming years, not only in terms of dramaturgy, but also financial and personnel. These changes could be traced on the basis of changes in the festival programme, several versions of which are preserved in the Archive of Prague Spring, as well as by studying archival documents and the contemporary press. For the purposes of this thesis, a final revised programme of the 45th edition of the festival has been created, which corrects and supplements the information on the festival's website. The thesis situates the material gathered within the broader theoretical frameworks of economic transformation, changes in corporate culture, and musicological reflection on the development of music festivals. The recollections of both the organisers and the musician participants of the festival, who were interviewed, played a significant role in shaping the picture of the past. The changes in the dramaturgy are traced by the example of several concerts that were...
Abstract interpretation of pandas
Hrubý, Jan ; Petříček, Tomáš (advisor) ; Parízek, Pavel (referee)
Pandas is a Python library widely used for data-manipulation. The code written with Pandas lacks any type-safety and everything is decided at runtime. This can potentially be a source of errors and crashes at runtime. One way to deal with that is to use another, type-safe, language and a library with better safety guarantees and compile-time checks. This approach is not widely used as it is not very user-friendly. An alternative approach could be to use program verification method Abstract Interpretation to perform some checks before the run of the program. The goal of this thesis is to design a framework for analyzing data-manipulation programs and implement an analyzer for the Pandas library. The framework will be based on the Abstract Interpretation. The capabilities of the resulting analyzer will be evaluated on a set of small but realistic case studies.
Controlling a Robotic Chess Manipulator
Kapustík, Boris ; Kruliš, Martin (advisor) ; Kopecký, Michal (referee)
In this thesis, we will use Kinect v2 (from Microsoft Corporation), Stockfish (one of the highest-ranking chess engines), and a custom-made robotic crane capable of accepting simple commands to move across a 3-dimensional plane. The objective is to integrate software for boardgame (Chess) tracking using an easily accessible camera and depth sensor developed by Roman Staněk with an open-source chess engine to create a simple chess robot. Thanks to the tracing, the robot will have the ability to interact with users. The output will be a desktop application for controlling and configuring the robot, switching between game modes, and tracking the game. It will also require creating a virtual mock of the robotic crane to simplify testing and further development.
Legal aspects of software interoperability
Myslivec, David ; Holcová, Irena (referee)
This thesis addresses the legal aspects of software interoperability. Interoperability of software is achieved through an interface that is part of a computer program. The computer program is protected by copyright. The thesis deals with the scope of interface protection and the possibilities of access to unprotected interfaces. It measures the interests of the author in protecting the work against the public interests and proposes solutions that would be able to ensure a greater degree of interoperability or sharing the information necessary to ensure it.
Low-calorie dietary regimes and their importance in the therapy of obesity
Dolejšová, Ester ; Matoulek, Martin (advisor) ; Mikeš, Ondřej (referee)
Starting points: Low-calorie diets (LCD) and very low-calorie diets (VLCD) are often indicated for effective and rapid weight reduction in patients with higher degrees of obesity (BMI ≥ 35). However, in many of these patients, short-term diets end in the typical yo-yo effect. In the presence of various diseases, the patient's health may also be harmed during these regimes. On the other hand, for many patients, these diets can represent a major shift in treatment if timed and executed correctly. Goals: The main goal of this study is to evaluate two- to three-week LCD and VLCD regimes conducted during hospitalization in ward D3 of the III Internal Clinic of the General University Hospital in Prague as part of weight-reduction stays and to assess their long-term effect. Methods: Quantitative, non-interventional research was conducted retrospectively. The research sample consisted of 60 patients who underwent a weight-reduction stay in inpatient ward D3 in 2022. With consent from the patients, initial data were taken from their medical records and from the mobile application Čas pro zdraví. Anthropometric data provided by the patients were used to calculate BMI and EBW (excess body weight). The collected data were processed in Excel program. Subsequently, the data were sorted for research purposes and...
Strength intervention program used as knee injury prevention by soccer players U14 categories
Lejbl, Jakub ; Hráský, Pavel (advisor) ; Kaplan, Aleš (referee)
Title: Strength intervention program used as knee injury prevention by soccer players U14 categories Objectives: The main objective of this study was to determine the effectiveness of a strength intervention program aimed at strengthening the lower limbs. The secondary aim was then to increase the strength capacity of the participating probands (players), with a possible reduction in muscle asymmetries between the dominant and non-dominant limbs with an increase in their H/Q ratios. Methods: The research population consisted of players of the U14 category of the football club FK Viktoria Žižkov, who were randomly divided into control and experimental groups. Both groups underwent entry and exit laboratory diagnostic measurements aimed at determining selected parameters of body composition and isokinetic muscle strength. The initial laboratory testing was followed by a six-week strength intervention program (experimental group), after which both groups underwent baseline/control measurements. The results of both groups were tabulated and compared with each other. Results: The intervention showed a positive effect in reducing lower limb muscle strength asymmetries in the experimental group at all measured speeds. Keywords: Lower limbs muscles, knee joint, laboratory testing, preventive procedure,...
The use of neurophysiology-based methods in an intervention program focused on shooting accuracy of biathletes: a non-randomized intervention study
Kiszová, Markéta ; Marenčáková, Jitka (advisor) ; Zimermanová, Helena (referee)
The main objective: The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of a specifically designed intervention program on the accuracy of standing shooting in biathletes. Methods: This experimental study was conducted on 15 probands from a biathlon club, who were divided into an experimental group (n = 9) and a control group (n = 6). Members of the experimental group performed an intervention training program for 6 weeks containing exercises using neurophysiologically based methods, focusing on strengthening postural stability and thus improving the accuracy of standing shooting. The control group was without intervention. Input and output measures included postural stability measurements on a FootScan pressure plate in the experimental group and standing shooting testing in both groups. Tested postural stability parameter was the COP (Centre of Pressure) trajectory in four standing variations (narrow standing with eyes open and closed, left and right leg stand). Student's t-test was used for statistical processing and evaluation of the results, and substantive significance was determined using Cohen's d. Results: There was a statistically significant improvement in the postural stability parameter in standing on the right lower limb, and especially in the accuracy of standing shooting in the...
