Interfaces for Faceted Search in Indexed Wikipedia

Main aim of this thesis is to study existing systems of faceted search and to design own system based on faceted search in the index of Wikipedia. In this thesis we can meet with existing solutions of faceted search. From mistakes and failures of existing solutions was designed our own system, that is output of this thesis. Designed system is described in way of design and implementation. Product of thesis is application and graphical interface. Application interface can be integrated into existing informational system, where it can be used as multidimensional filter. Graphical interface provides option how can application interface be used in real system. System was created focusing on usefullness and simplicity, for using in existing information systems.
Preparation of Geography Lessons: Potential Use of Teacher-Oriented Website

Lesson preparation is an important part of teachers' profession, yet there has been little research focused on this topic recently. This work studied the preparation of geography lessons in Czechia with an emphasis on the use of internet sources. Based on the findings, criteria for an ideal geographic website for teachers were suggested. The data were collected in two ways: (1) on-line survey of ran- domly selected secondary school teachers (n=72), and (2) semi-structured interviews (n=6). The work indicated that lesson preparation greatly varies from teacher to teacher. In general, teachers do not change their lesson plans significantly, and thus the beginning of teachers' career is crucial for future teaching. Participating teachers spend on average about a quarter of their working time on lesson preparation and there is no apparent correlation between the time spend on lesson preparation and the teachers' age or the length of teachers' career. Furthermore, it was found that all participating teachers use internet resources during lesson preparation, particularly for search of updated infor- mation. The most visited websites are those offering maps and encyclopaedias (predominantly Wik- ipedia). .NET library for the MediaWiki API

.NET library for the MediaWiki API Abstract: MediaWiki wikis provide their users an API, that can used to programmatically access the wiki. This API is large, changes frequently and can be different from wiki to wiki, so it can be a challenge to write a library for accessing the API. This thesis describes LinqToWiki, a library that can be used to access the Me- diaWiki API from C# or other .NET languages. Thanks to the use of LINQ and code generation through Roslyn, code written using this library is readable, discoverable, strongly-typed and flexible.
Project WikiSkripta and its utilization

The primary aim of this thesis is to analyse and rate the project WikiSkripta from the point of view of it's use. The creation, evolution up to now, organization and results of the project are being presented. The core of this thesis is the questionnaire survey to the students of certain faculties of medicine in Czech Republic, based on the analysis of the WikiSkripta system. The introductory part gives a brief summary of professional medicine education in the internet area. The following chapter gives more close characteristic of the creation and evolution of the parental project of WikiSkripta - the MEFANET. The next part gives the analysis of the project WikiSkripta. The other part, the survey of the use of WikiSkripta, gives a comparison of the partial results of the survey. The given data from the survey are evaluated in the conclusion of this work. The thesis is processed on the base of my own analysis of the webpage WikiSkripta - both the content and the support part - and the result of the questionnaire survey.
Extending Access Control List in Dokuwiki

The goal of this bachelor thesis is to introduce the Wiki systems, especially DokuWiki. It deals with history, legal aspects and possibility to create pluggable modules (alias plugins). Plugins are also main theme of this work. At first, a simple plugin for user access rights is designed. Afterwards is extended plugin's functionality with advanced settings of permissions and is also created the ability of automatic user login based on specific entry informations.
Offline Wiki Editor for Android

This bachelor thesis is concerned with wiki webs and the Android mobile platform. Their objective is to create an application that enables offline editing of wiki webs on the mobile devices. This application focuses on being user friendly with allowing the most effective editing. The first part of this thesis concentrates on the theoretical specification of wiki webs and the Android platform. The second part then presents the actual development of the application. During the development, the emphasis is placed on the expansibility of the application with the component for the synchronization between the local storage in the mobile device and the server. The final application is evaluated in the last part of the thesis followed by the presentation of the possibilities of its potential development.

Wiki Module in Information System

This master's thesis aims to develop own wiki module for information system of our faculty based on knowledge of known wiki systems. The project introduces the basic information and syntax of three wiki systems, specifically MediaWiki, DokuWiki and WikkaWiki; introduces also the WikiCreole project, which tries to set up easier way for users to contribute to different wiki systems that defines common syntax. Then it deals with design and implementation of own wiki module to the information system of faculty. The project also introduces with universal wiki system concept. At the conclusion there is th results evaluation of this master's thesis.

The goal of this bachelor's thesis is to design and implement a resource library as a plugin for DokuWiki wiki system. This text contains basic information about DokuWiki and the plugin development. Then, the description of the final application follows along with the design of the data model. Energetics information database based on WIKI technology

Topic of this bachelor’s thesis covers practical realization of cooperative database project for purposes of academic usage. There is a possibility that database could be maintained using WIKI technology. Selection of eligible WIKI software will provide communication with databáze server and accessibility to database itself through web interface allows capability to new documents creation, their easy editing and managing.
