Barriers to Returning to Employment after Mother's Leave in Dačicko Region

The thesis is focused on difficulties which women returning to work after maternity leave have to deal with. It is difficult for them to manage taking care of their families, household and work duties. The main aim has been to investigate the attitude of employers towards women coming back to work after their maternity leave. In the first chapter of the theoretical part the current situation of family politics principles, systems, conception and measures are described. The second chapter deals with maternity leave and maternity pay the conditions of entitlement, length and options. The third chapter focuses on pre-school care including different types of institutions, their offers and capacity. In the next chapter the problems of female employment are introduced including the obstacles which women have to overcome such as inequality, discrimination and gender roles. The last chapter describes some suggestions which can improve the situation in female employment and make their integration back to job market easier. The practical part of the thesis focuses on the goal through a qualitative research, using a method of questioning semi structured interview. A representative sample of respondents was chosen by the snowball sampling method. Fisrtly, six employers from different fields and their approach towards women returning after maternity leave are observed. Secondly, there are shown cases of ten women returning from the maternity leave back to the job market and problems they have to deal with such as choosing preschool institutions for their children and finding a balance between their career and family life. The analysis is done via clusters (grouping questions into certain topics) and via answers of communication partners put in codes to make the results of the research more organised. The research shows that certain employers try to facilitate the child care and job responsibilities in favour of women so that it is possible to manage all thier duites. It has been shown that this facilitation is limited in production or sales companies. Administrative jobs are able to guarantee more flexibility of employment contacts. Next obstacle is to balance opening times of nurseries with working hours of women. Another problem is to secure a child care during school holidays or in case of illness. Finally, it is pointed out that the women in the study feel inadequate government support and they think government should focus more on this issue. The research has also found out that women with higher qualification have better options in finding a balance between their career and their family life.

The development of the birth rate and preschool education in the Czech Republic after 1950 Abstract The main aim of the thesis is to map in detail the development of preschool education and financial support for families with children in the Czech Republic in the context of the development of birth rate after 1950. The development of birth rate in the thesis is not only analyzed by using basic indicators, but also through deeper decomposition methods. It turns out, that quality and availability of all network preschool institutions in the context has a certain role in the birth rate. The reconciliation of work and family is very important for lots of parents and sufficient offer of preschool care can help it. However, the demand for preschool institutions exceeded supply, as was shown in accordance with obtained data. It was also found out by the insight into the outcomes of surveys that the vast majority of respondents do not think that a preschool child of working mother would be suffering. In the future, should not only expand the capacity of childcare facilities as well as other options for facilitation of reconciling work and family life, such as better offer of flexible working hours. The diploma work was focused on determining the situation with training of educational workers involved in logopaedic care among children of preschool age, what cooperation is like with professional institutions in this area, what teaching methods preschool educators use in work with children and what kind of care kindergartens provide in relation to the development of speech skills. Czech for Foreigners in the Preschool Education Institutions

v anglickém jazyce The present M.A. thesis deals with teaching the Czech for foreigners in the preschool education institution. The work with the preschool children is connected with lots of specifics and thus it requires teacherʼs special attitude towards their very young learners. Children- foreigners often come from families, where nobody speaks Czech and their vocabulary is very restricted. Therefore, their inclusion into the Czech educational environment is not easy. In the theoretical part, at first we will focus on analysis of curriculum documents for preschool education, particularly with regard to children-foreigners. Afterwards, we will pay oneʼs attention to possibilities of support of integration of children-foreigners during education in Czech preschool institutions. After that, we will outline the aspects accompanying foreigners' integration into teaching and theoretical ways for child-foreigners integration process. At the end of the theoretical part, we characterize group and individual courses. Two case studies are subject of the empirical part and they contain the complex analysis of situation of children-foreigners in selected preschool institutions.

Private preschool business plan

This thesis is dedicated to a business plan creation for the private language preschool facilities established in Prague.This work, thus responds to the appearance of the market niche in this industry and increasing number of rejected applications for kindergartens enrolment.
The first part consists of a theoretical basis for a business plan and legal conditions for the nurseries establishment. Furthermore, it analyses the current situation of this area and presents analytical part. Analytical part analyses the business environment and then presents a possible alternative business plan. The last part is dedicated to financial plan. Subsequently, the results are assessed and recommendations are made.

Analysis of today's system of pre-school care in the Czech Republic

This bachelor thesis deals with the current situation on childcare market in the Czech Republic, the legislative analysis and the conceptual side of case, the comparison of pre-school facilities and solution of insufficient capacity in nursery schools. Case study analyzing the offer of childcare in Jihlava in comparison with Prague 2 shows that private facilities in Prague cover a large part of demand and the price of tuition is up to three times higher compared to Jihlava. Lack of capacity in kindergarten will remain dominant for several years. A solution could be the legislative changes, reducing the number of postponement of compulsory school attendance, or the construction of modular nurseries.

The support of the preschool children’s care

This thesis deals with the support of the preschool children's care. The main aim of this work is to focus on the support of facilities such as nursery schools and kindergartens. The theoretical part is concerned with the problems of family as such and its support made by the state. The thesis further is focused on the search for importance of preschool facilities for all involved subjects including family, government, municipalities and companies, followed by the introduction of various forms of the extra familiar care with an emphasis on private services. In the practical part of the thesis, there is analysed the demand and supply of childcare services by demographic, regional and economic development. It points out the main problems in this area and compares the Czech system with European states. The final section presents new directions, where the area is approaching. It also brings an appraisal with findings that without the support of the state surveyed area cannot be developed further. Suggestions how to improve the whole system are mentioned as well.
