Následující práce se zabývá problematikou neverbální komunikace v různých kulturách a to především jejími dvěma druhy - gestikou a mimikou. Největší pozornost je soustředěna na analýzu toho, jak je v česky publikované, původní i překladové odborné literatuře pojat výklad o vybraných neverbálních prostředcích v různých kulturách. Práce se zaměřuje převážně na to, nakolik jsou v příslušných publikacích zohledněna kulturní specifika příslušných prostředků, na které kultury je pokládán největší důraz a jaké informace jsou o daných prostředcích sdělovány. Nejprve je popsán samotný pojem neverbální komunikace, poté její druhy, ve stručnosti jejich charakteristika a stěžejní částí celé práce je právě ona zmíněná analýza vybraných publikací, kde bylo primárním úkolem zjistit, jakou měrou se čeští i zahraniční autoři zabývají mezikulturními rozdíly v problematice neverbální komunikace, a co o nich pojednávají. Nonverbal communication focused on gestures accompanying speech.

In this thesis, gesticulation is presented in a context of nonverbal communication. It is likely that gestures preceded the birth of an articulated speech. Nevertheless even in the present, people convey information via gesticulation to their surroundings. This ability can be found at small children, gestures play the role of a speech precursor there. Human language is a codified form of diction. We can see every word as a symbol. The formal layout is available even for gesture communication. This happens in case that gesticulation stands for speech. If you want to share your thoughts via symbols it is relatively complicated. People can present their opinions and thoughts by gestures thought, that they do not have a stable form. These usually accompany a verbal speech. Gesticulation has a significance for both speakers and listeners. Benefits were formulated separately for each of them. It helps the speaker to keep his speech fluent, to decrease the cognitive strain and makes easier for him to formulate ideas, which he can not to express in words. The listener gains information about the topic, that he is told about. On top of this, gestures can express different information, that are not involved in verbal speech. This discrepancy between arm movements and speech is beneficial for both communicating partners.
Complex aspects of communication - gestics and mimics

Title of the thesis: Complex aspects of communication - gestures and facial expressions Key words: Nonverbal communication, emotions, gestures, facial expressions, interpretation Abstract: The thesis focuses on the international comphrensibility of the complex aspects of communication, especially the nonverbal components. Of these nonverbal components we have pursued the gestures and facial expressions in particular. The domains of nonverbal communication are related, therefore the thesis mentions them as well. However our primary focus rests on the gestures and facial expressions. We researched through a questionnaire. The responders identified themselves and after that they were asked to identify and interpret facial expressions and gestures that we had chosen. The research indicates situations, when a communication is expressed only by the use of nonverbal means and may fail to convey the information. Furthermore, we looked into the possible advantages of knowledge of the nonverbal communication for teachers.
Diagnostic markers specific language impairment from the perspective of a speech therapist

This thesis deals with specific language impairment. The theoretical part introduces related terminology, classification, etiology, symptomatology and diagnostic issues. The research section analyzes the different linguistic levels in a sample of children and devotes a common specific variations in verbal production that could be designed as diagnostic markers. The qualitative study was an analysis of verbal production of nine children ranging in age from 5.4 to 5.7 years, with specific language impairment. In all the statements were reflected deficits in the use of sibilance, skipping voice in the first position, disruption of understanding to varying extents, incorrect naming and difficulties výbavností words and disturbance of speech and other prosodic factors. 6 Abstract This thesis aims to offer a comprehensive view of corporate communication while emphasizing its importance for everyday life of corporations and achievement of their strategic targets. The thesis introduces potential interpretations of corporate communication with the main focus on key moments of corporate communication as well as on consequences non-effective communication has on employee satisfaction and their life in the corporation. In the thesis I opted for the method of compilation and comparison of professional literature along with expert interviews which reveal the quality of internal communication in two selected corporations and prove one-sided view of communication inside corporations. The first part of the thesis provides a detailed look at characteristics of individual communication forms, knowledge of these characteristics being the cornerstone of further research in corporate communication. Besides, this part also describes the principles of active listening, a skill which is frequently omitted from the communication skill list. The second part deals with potential interpretations and divisions of corporate communication in professional literature and offers a thorough account of internal communication and its individual aspects. Nonverbal communication during the job interview

The theme of this thesis in nonverbal communication during the job interview. The work is divided into two main parts. The theoretical part focuses on the description of the basic types of nonverbal means, embedding them in a particular situation - for job interviews and the differences in the use of nonverbal means for women and men. In the practical part are described and evaluated the questionnaires. On it's basis it was established the role of nonverbal communication in job acquiring, nonverbal communication differences between men and women and its impact on communication interaction. In the end of this theses the research results are compared with theoretical base.
Contemporary Dance and Ballroom Dance: Different Dance Environments from the Point View of Dancers and Audience

The thesis examines the phenomenon of nonverbal communication via dance from the perspective of anthropology of dance. The objective of the thesis is to analyze the dance environment of contemporary and ballroom dance, based on the point of view of the dancers as well as of the audience. I determine the differences in the ways these forms of dance communicate through dance performances. I examine how dance functions as a means of language, on which level the communication is processing and what meanings and messages the audience decodes within the dance performance. The phenomenon of dance in its natural environment is studied semiotically, as a form of language in certain context. The fieldwork method is based on participant observation and semistructured interviews with both dancers and audience. The research was conducted in the studio of Nová scéna - Lidé v pohybu in Prague, which teaches contemporary dance, and in the dance club Akcent Dobruška, which focuses on ballroom dance. This thesis deals with the use of non-verbal communication in the communicative approach when teaching Czech as a foreign language. It focuses on a nonverbal communication and main approaches to the communicative approach in teaching Czech as a foreign language. In its last part, this thesis compares results of previous research of nonverbal communication in the teaching process in a primary and secondary level and analyses of recordings of the lessons of Czech for foreigners. Specifics of communication in kindergarten

(in English): The present bachelor thesis examines basic specifics of communication in kindergarten. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to both general and specific communication between a teacher and children. The main focus is on communication functions upon which communication is built. The thesis also offers a basic insight into the Czech preschool education system and briefly presents alternative educational programs with special focus on the program Step by Step practiced in the kindergarten in which data were collected for the practical part of the thesis. The research reported consists of qualitative descriptive analyses of frequently repeated characteristics of the communication between a teacher and children. The conclusion calls for further longitudinal research in this area of communication.
