Automated external defibrillators in theory and practice

The bachelor thesis deals with the treatment and importance of location Automated external defibrillators in the particular units of Integrated Rescue System. In the theoretical part I describe basic anatomy and physiology of heart, patophysiology of selected cardiac arrhythmias. The largest part is devoted to Automated external defibrillators. In the several parts I explain philosophy of defibrillators, description of instruments, indication and contraindication of use, correctly use of defibrillators, the pros and cons their use in basic life support. In this bachelor thesis I write history of defibrillation and Automated external defibrillators. I mention studies, which were performed on this topic. In the practical part the quantitative method was used in the form of anonymous questionnaires. The survey was conducted at the particular units of Integrated Rescue System.
Comparison of the BBC's Producers' and Editorial Guidelines before and after the Hutton Inquiry

The thesis "Comparison of the BBC's Producers' guidelines and Editorial guidelines before and after the Hutton Inquiry" deals with the way the BBC changed its regulatory and self-regulatory framework after the affair involving the British weapons inspector in Iraq Dr. David Kelly and the BBC correspondent Andrew Gilligan. After setting the historical context emphasizing the development of the internal media regulation and journalism ethics, the thesis decribes the affair and the former BBC guidelines when it compares the newly inserted changes to the Editorial guidelines in terms of specific demands for improving the work of the BBC journalists.
Proposing a Risk Analysis Methodology for Critical Applications in the Banking Sector

This diploma thesis deals with the problem of risk analysis of critical applications in banking. The sponsor is the bank operating in the Czech Republic. The thesis is based on the theoretical apparatus in the field of information security and legal normatives of the Czech Republic. The thesis analyzes the laws and directives related to the issue of risk analysis, the bank's internal regulations and the previous analyzes carried out in the bank.
Medical treatment of a gravely wounded person in a difficult conditions

The topic of this bachelor thesis is Medical treatment of a gravely wounded person in difficult conditions. Theoretical part is focused on recommended procedure - Guidelines TECC (Tactical Emergency Casualty Care) which was originally military guidelines, but it's edited to civilian environment. The main focus of the thesis is to describe the procedure of prehospital emergency care, edited guidelines used in practice and its material conditions. Another goal of this thesis is to create methodological instructions, which can be used in practice. Quality research was conducted for a practical part of the thesis. Controlled semi-structured interview composed of three questions was done. Twelve interviews were done. Paramedics from South Bohemian region and Pilsen region were the respondents. It was found out new recommended procedures and aids based on Guidelines 2015 from military environment are used. However in practice those procedures and aids are not used. Methodological instructions for burns were conducted.
Geographical fieldwork: transmissive and constructivist approach to fieldwork in the Hvozdnice region

The thesis compares the constructivistic with transmissive geography tuition approach on Hvozdnice region model. The teoretical part defines field work, the didactic learning theories and focuses on closer description and comparison the constructivistic with transmissive pedagogical approach. The practical part brings a complete geographical characteristics of the specified area and subsequently SWOT analysis which provided crucial issues and generalization of the proposed field work worksheets. The proposed worksheets of the work field which deal with exploring of the local region are created in two variants- constructivistic and transmissive. Although there was no change in the thematic focus of the worksheets, there is the obvious difference between realization and achieving the objectives which is based on philosophy of each of the selected models of learning. The main goal of this master thesis was determined as a presentation of possible form for monitoring and evaluating quality of rehabilitation using Indicator of quality stroke rehabilitation in patients with cerebrovascular accident. Teaching English Effectively with an Interactive Whiteboard

The diploma thesis Teaching English Effectively with an Interactive Whiteboard deals with the phenomenon of interactive whiteboards; their characteristics, installation in schools, possible ways of use and contributions to English lessons. The main aims are to examine the tool from various perspectives, to research the situation of IWBs in the Czech Republic and to provide technical as well as methodological support for teachers of English as a foreign language. The theoretical part summarises facts about interactive whiteboards on the basis of worldwide research and publications, whereas the main body is more teacher-oriented and focuses on the practical aspects of using IWBs at schools. Therefore, it includes a survey, guidelines with many ideas, sample activities created in the software ActiveInspire and accompanied by a detailed commentary, and finally, training for teachers which was organised in Prague. The airflow limitation is usually both progressive and associated with an abnormal inflammatory response of the lungs to noxious particles or gases". Tobacco smoking is the major risk factor in the development of COPD. COPD is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Aim: 1st from the current literature to understand the nature of COPD and obtain information about the aetiopathogenesis of the disease, diagnosis options and summarize the current view of strategies for achieving the goals of treatment. 2nd in a pilot study to analyze drug therapy in COPD patients visiting a pharmacy in Greece. Methods: 56 prescriptions with the diagnosis of COPD were collected during a period of 8 months from a Greek pharmacy.
