The History of Commercial Academy in České Budějovice 1960-2000

The dissertation is trying to catch live on Commercial Academy in České Budějovice and its history from year 1960 until 2000. The dissertation is divided into three main parts. The first part briefly describes the history of former czechoslovakia and newly created Czech Republic. Second part draws near a history of high seminary mainly economic) educational system from 1945 to 2000. And finally in the third part I am attending to history of Commericial Academy itself (previously High commercial school from 1.9. 1949 and after it High economic school till 1.9.1960)Even if the supplied information aren;t and not even can be all (because of unavailability of sources), still and all it catches quite big time period and serves compact view about history of Commercial Academy.

Philosophical Aspects of Globalization

This work is concerned with some aspects of the social phenomenon called globalizatin mainly from the view of philosophy, whereas it comes mainly from the publications The Clash of Civilizations and the Remaking of World Order, written by Samuel P. Huntington and The End of History and the Last Man, which is written by Francis Fukuyama. The main problems, which is this work aimed for, are advantages and disadvantages of the plural liberal democracy, linear and cyclical conception of history, cuurent development and the forecastings of future development fo the Western civilization, relationship between Christian and Islamic civilizations and the problems with establishing the liberal democracy in the other cicilizations than the Western civilization. I make a mutual comparison of the two publications introduced thereinbefore and I also compare the attitudes of boht their writers with current worldwide political development.

Methodology of identification and documentation of culinary heritage: The Nmets methodology

Metodika se zaměřuje na stravování, kulinární kulturu s cílem poznání, uchování, využívání v tematických výzkumech a zpřístupnění kulinárního dědictví široké veřejnosti formou prezentace, popularizace a edukace. Jejím cílem je nabídnout s využitím mezioborového přístupu a informačních zdrojů stěžejní postupy a metody vedoucí k identifikaci a verifikaci pokrmů a nápojů ve smyslu hodnot kulinární kultury jako součásti každodennosti a identity sociálních entit příslušných území. Navrhuje strukturu kulinárního dědictví, přičemž zohledňuje obecné názory na kulturní dědictví a míru jeho rozpoznatelných hodnot a na stav dochování a dokladování prvků stravování. Poskytuje návody na dokumentaci kulinárního dědictví ve smyslu výzkumného procesu i výstupů z odborných aktivit; předkládá vzorové evidenční záznamy, využitelné v odborné praxi. Územně jsou postuláty metodiky aplikovatelné na české země, resp. na území současné České republiky. V souladu s projektem, jehož je metodika součástí, bylo zvoleno příkladové území s historickými hodnotami a kulturními i etnografickými specifiky (Slezsko, resp. České Slezsko), do nějž jsou projektovány ikonografické prezentace a vzorové dokumentační záznamy. Metodika je určená odborným pracovníkům kulturních organizací, muzeí a dalších institucí zaměřených na studium regionálních a místních tradic, lidové kultury a vývoje každodennosti; pracovníkům v oblasti památkové péče s potřebou orientovat se v oblasti stravování a hodnot kulinární kultury; badatelům z oblasti historických a příbuzných věd; pracovníkům na různých pozicích v cestovním ruchu a kulturním turismu; dalším profesně aktivním i privátním zájemcům o vývoj stravování a hodnoty kulinárního dědictví.

The depiction of Czechoslovakia in the years 1989 - 1990 through the eyes of viewers in the television series Vyprávěj

The bachelor thesis entitled "The depiction of Czechoslovakia in the years 1989 - 1990 through the eyes of viewers in the television series Vyprávěj" deals with the question of how the perception of the portrayal of a particular stage of contemporary history (the November Revolution of 1989 and the social events of the early 1990s) in the series differs between two different groups of viewers, the memorials and the non-memorials. The thesis consists of pilot research conducted with two respondents, each representing one of the two audience groups. Their experience of watching and perceiving the series is explored through a semi-structured interview method with predetermined thematic headings. On a theoretical level, the thesis explores how the format of the series: the memory medium, utilizes concepts of nostalgia along with cultural and communicative memory, while considering account the specificities of post-television audiences. Furthermore it describes the relation between memory and history, as well as presenting the specific importance of the period 1989-1990 in modern Czechoslovak and Czech history. The subject of this bachelor thesis is the annotated translation of the chapter Das alte China, which is a part of the German travel guide book Anders reisen: China. The translation was carried out on the basis of described translation analysis followed by establishment of the translation strategy. At the conclusion of the thesis the concrete translation difficulties and solutions in the area of grammar, stylistics and semantics are being discussed. A constitutive part is also a consideration of the translator's legitimacy of correcting errors in the source text.

Diese Diplomarbeit beschäftigt sich mit dem zeitgenössichen Trend des Körperkultes und mit dem Mythus der Schönheit, mit seinen biologischen und kulturell historischen Wurzeln. Ich versuche aufzuklären, warum die Schönheit in der heutigen Gesellschaft so geschlechtsbedingt ist. Und warum gerade die Frau mit dem schönen Geschlecht identifiziert wird. Weiter studiere ich gesellschaftliche Mechanismen, die eine Jagd nach dem perfekten Körper legitimieren. Ich beschreibe auch ihre Folgen auf der individuellen und gesellschaftlichen Ebene.

The Subsidiary Churches of Roman Catholic Parish Říčany near Prague

The diploma thesis The Subsidiary Churches of Roman Catholic Parish Říčany u Prahy deals with churches, which currently belongs to the Říčany`s parish, and freely continues in the bachelor thesis The Church of St Peter and St Paul in Říčany. At the beginning, history of the parish is briefly introduced. The thesis is divided into chapters according to individual churches. The development of architecture, chronological description of the interior painting and sculptural decoration and liturgical applied arts, which are located in particular churches, follow after a historical introduction. The churches' most significant treasures include the original rotunda in Kostelec u Křížků, gothic frescoes in Olešky and Kostelec, the painting of Archangel Raphael with young Tobias by Karel Škréta in Kostelec, baroque altar in Tehov a classical tombstone of archbishop Salm-Salm in Kamenice. The biggest contribution of this thesis is the detailed summary, finding of analogies (particularly similarity of gothic presbyteries in Otice and Kunice, baroque reconstruction of churches in Tehov and Kolovraty and baroque altars in Kostelec u Křížků and Kamenice), dating of baroque frescoes in the presbytery of church in Kostelec, finding of provenance of altar in Tehov and elaborating of history of smaller villages (especially of...
