After that it presents connection between the fans and politics, including some examples from the world and from The Czech republic as well. As I mentioned, the subject of the research was Tribuna Sever, which is an active core of fans. The Idea of human heing in Bakunin's anarchism
Lebeda, Robert ; Šubrt, Jiří (advisor) ; Havlík, Radomír (referee)
Abstract The presented study deals with Bakunin's conception of man in his anarchy period. The aim is to give evidence that his theory has legitimate place in the history of social sciences and that every attempt to disregard or to eclipse his opinions is unacceptable. This thesis tries to put his anthropological interpretation into the context of social sciences of that time and to show that the real foundation of the whole theory lies in natural evolutionism, which was a part of evolutionist theories of that time in general. This evolutionism was based on the results of the period scientific studies, widely using analogies between the natural and human worlds. The study begins with the theory of foundation and evolution of the natural world; from inorganic to organic form as the real essence of the Universe, then it moves on to the theory of foundation and evolution of the human capacity of thinking including the theory of religion, philosophy and science viewed as the historical forms of human intellect. It continues with the theory of the foundation and the history of human labour viewed as economic history. The following part of this study deals with patriotism and shows the connection between Bakunin's natural evolutionism and his interpretation of this phenomena. The last chapter deals with...

Hylmar, Radek ; Heczková, Libuše (advisor) ; Wiendl, Jan (referee) ; Merhautová, Lucie (referee)
Czech Literary Anarchism in the Context of Socialism and the Women's Movement (1890-1914) Abstract The thesis focuses on Czech pre-WWI anarchism. It analyses it as a modernist movement comprising various activities spanning political propaganda, proposals of social organisation and thinking about moral values as well views on the arts and literary production. The aim is to present literary texts written by anarchists against a backdrop of other types of expression. At the same time, the thesis assesses anarchism in the historical context of other political, social, artistic and philosophical movements. We study the interweaving of ideological and aesthetic schemes of Czech anarchism, especially with socialism and feminism, but also concerning decadence, Friedrich Nietzsche's philosophy and writings of the German Friedrichshagen poets' and anarchists' circle. The thesis focuses on how anarchism understands human beings and their relationship to the world and society. Given the anarchists' focus on the free individual, we present strategies of emancipation from traditional conventions and institutions such as marriage, family and the state. We also concentrate on reforms concerning morals and similarities with the feminist turn to one's own bodily and psychical experiences as starting points for setting...
Anarchy and Anarchism in the works of James Kelman
Balvín, Tomáš ; Clark, Colin Steele (advisor) ; Beran, Zdeněk (referee)
This BA thesis handles the ways in which anarchism manifests in the works of James Kelman, and the merit of Kelman"s claim to the title "anarchist" is investigated. One of the main concerns of anarchism as a political ideology has been individual liberty free of oppression from authorities and hierarchical relationships; for this reason the starting point of the thesis is to discover the basis of the concept of freedom Kelman operates with: what are its sources, why the concept is so crucial to him and what role plays authority (and authorities) in it. The topics of freedom, political representation and direct action in Kelman are investigated and their relevance is sought after in author"s fiction. Representation in literature and his stance on hierarchies is investigated. Strictly politically dogmatic point of view is not always taken to reproduce the anarchist position concerning author"s fiction. To make this possible, first, the political essays and other texts from Kelman are investigated from which a base of his standpoint on the anarchist concepts mentioned is constructed; similarity to various anarchist ideas is considered. These are later translated into his approach to fiction and artistic vision in general, and the way the notion of freedom and fight against hierarchy express in its content and...

Protest, style and social identity. Discourse analysis of anarchist revue Existence
Svobodová, Tereza ; Šoltys, Otakar (advisor) ; Křeček, Jan (referee)
The diploma thesis focuses on representation of protest in the official periodical of Czech Anarchist federation. It looks into the protest strategies which influence the level of personal lifestyle of an individual. This practice is connected to the issue of devaluation of the anarchist programme and more prominent emphasis on the form of the activities rather than the content. On the example of anarchist review Existence the thesis investigates how the practice is treated at the discursive level in Czech context. It poses a question whether the accent of a particular lifestyle results in shaping a required normative ideal of social identity. At the theoretical level, the thesis reflects how mainstream media tend to represent protest events. Simultaneously, it describes alternative media as the instrument to oppose the dominant media practice. Using the method of discourse analysis based on Norman Fairclough's linguistic approach, the text looks into the similarities between the mainstream and the alternative. The analysis focuses especially on modern tactics of the anarchist movement, politicization of everyday life, reflection of these phenomena within the movement and possible above-mentioned impact on the anarchist programme.
