Current situation of research into interaction of tire with surface
Kleger, Ondřej ; Kašpárek, Jaroslav (referee) ; Pokorný, Jan (advisor)
Modeling and simulation belong to very important tools used in automotive industry of present days. Simulation forms basis for both – new vehicle development and also improvement of vehicles already in production. A key role of simulation may be seen in the development of vehicle active safety features such as “Anti-Block System” (ABS), “Anti-Slip Regulation” (ASR), “Electronic Stability Program” (ESP) etc. As a common feature, all of the listed systems require accurate simulation of the interaction between the tire and the road surface. Thanks to simulation tools we can model driving situations and behavior of the whole system so that it nearly mimics real behavior of the vehicle on the road. Nevertheless; despite continuously increasing accuracy of the simulation tools, a development process still cannot be completed without real tests and measurements on tires and road surface characteristics.
Conception of ATV (all-terrain vehicles)
Dosedla, Milan ; Vančura, Jan (referee) ; Porteš, Petr (advisor)
This thesis is review article of the current design and construction setup of ATVs. In the individual chapters are analyzed function of structural units and their advantages and disadvantages for the application. Much attention is paid to the design and construction of the brakes and axles. Work based on the analysis 30 models of ATVs from different manufacturers. This thesis reports the specifications of selected models. In conclusion we discuss the appropriateness of design solutions for different types of ATVs such as utility or sport models.
Analysis of the influence of misuse and tire inflation on the stability of the vehicle in a limit situation
Porč, Karel ; Panáček, Vladimír (referee) ; Vémola, Aleš (advisor)
This diploma thesis focuses on incorrect inflation and incorrect use of tires in extreme situations. In the first part, a search of previously created works is reported. This is followed by the elaboration of the basic theory, which describes the driving dynamics of the vehicle, braking and construction, marking, wear and inflation of tires. The next part is the measurement and evaluation of the effect of incorrect inflation and use of tires. Braking deceleration and evasive maneuvers were performed as tests. The third part is an evaluation and summary of the situation.
Thermomechanical tire model
Vaníček, Jan ; Štětina, Josef (referee) ; Porteš, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis is about thermomechanics of passenger car tires. The research part dealing with existing tire models is followed by the practical part. The practical part is based on the designs of thermomechanical models. The first model determines a dependence of temperature on the air pressure inside a tire when a temperature changes. The second thermomechanical model captures all the heat fluxes which affect a tire while a vehicle is in motion. The third thermomechanical model calculates temperatures of parts of the tire during driving tests. All models are programmed in MATLAB.
Production of Tyres
Beránek, Lukáš ; Němec, Karel (referee) ; Molliková, Eva (advisor)
The intention of this bachelor´s thesis is describing of the production and construction tires. The part of this thesis includes modern way in construction and future of the tires.
Effect of Incorrect Tire Inflation on Tire Segments Warming
Samek, Jakub ; Langer, Aleš (referee) ; Bilík, Martin (advisor)
This work solves the effect of incorrect tire inflation on the warming of their parts while driving a personal car. A series of tests were carried out for different tire pressure values and during the tests the temperature data of tires was collected using a thermocamera. An analysis of these data was also carried out and a proposal for modification of the methodology for further measurements was made.
Design of Portable Compressor
Mička, Radek ; Bukvald, Jiří (referee) ; Křenek, Ladislav (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to design a portable air compressor with air tank, respecting the functional, structural, technological and ergonomics requirements with emphasis on the aesthetic value of the proposal. My goal is primary to create the aesthetic appea- rance of these devices which are often overlooked. I would like to attract with an interesting shape expression and simple operation to new users and raised the level of existing products on the market.
Chassis of racing motorcycles
Kudr, Jan ; Ramík, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
Those theses describe complex of motorbike chassis and components from racing sector. Here is explained geometry of motorbike chassis and impact to riding properties. Geometry of motorbike chassis and driving style are closely linked with adjusting of damping and springing. In the end, depending on chassis adjustment tires can show us how good or how bad is adjusted the chassis.
Influence of vehicle geometry on tire durability
Fuchsová, Kateřina ; Langer, Aleš (referee) ; Bilík, Martin (advisor)
This document focuses on the influence of vehicle geometry setting on the tire tread wear. A series of tests using trucks with varied geometry settings has been carried out. The data of tire tread wear was collected during a five month period. An analysis was then conducted and a proposition of adjusting the methodology for further usage has been made.
Computational modelling of stress-strain states in tyres
Lavický, Ondřej ; Profant, Tomáš (referee) ; Burša, Jiří (advisor)
Work occupies computational modelling mechanical behavior elastomers and composits with rubber matrix and their utilization for compute model of tire creation. MATADOR tire 165/65 R13 Axisymetric 2D model was created in two geometric variants. For the computational modeling is applying the Finite element method (FEM). The model was in different variants distinctive grade of modeling material. At first was done inner pressure analyst impact on deformation of each of model. Then was count influence on tire load with angular velocity meanwhile with inner pressure. The impact thickness of tire protector layer on global deformation tyre casing was verified too.
