Nursing care of the woman during stillbirth

This bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of nursing care of the woman during stillbirth. The thesis has a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with the definition of the mentioned terminology. It explains the issue of managing the delivery of a dead foetus, mainly from a nursing perspective. Great emphasis is placed on the subsequent care of a woman after giving birth to a stillborn foetus and the importance of mementos in the subsequent experience of loss. Additionally, the theoretical portion encompass care for women during the initial six weeks postpartum. The last topic is the issue of grief and subsequent social care. The practical part of the bachelor thesis is conducted quantitatively. The research sample consists of women who have given birth to a stillborn foetus and are willing to share their experience. The questions for female respondents are focussed on the topic of time spent with the baby after giving birth and on the topic of mementos. Emphasis is placed on questions seeking, how influential were these events on the subsequent experience of loss. Part of the research is also deal with women's satisfaction with the staff at maternity hospitals and possibly what steps would help women cope better with this situation. This master's thesis, entitled The Role of Social Networks in Senior Citizen Communications with Family and Friends, examines the significance of online communication in the lives of older adults, with a particular focus on communication with family and friends. The thesis aims to provide a deeper insight into the use of social networks by seniors when connecting with family or friends, further explore their experience with this form of communication, and determine whether they have faced any barriers while using social networks, and who influenced them to use the networking sites. The theoretical part focuses on the demographic group of seniors, the importance of communication in the lives of seniors, and determines the characteristic features of online communication. The theoretical part examines in detail the social networks, advantages, and disadvantages of using social networks by seniors and explores which Czech organizations help seniors engage in the digital world. Conflict prevention and de-escalation in pediatric nursing

Background: This paper focuses on conflict prevention and de-escalation in pediatric nursing. Aims: The theoretical aim of this thesis is to review relevant information on conflict prevention and de-escalation in paediatric nursing from the available Czech and international literature. The obtained knowledge is to be sorted, critically assessed and evaluated. The empirical aim of this thesis is to carry out quantitative research using a non-standardized questionnaire distributed distributed to nurses working in paediatric inpatient wards of Motol University Hospital, to statistically process and evaluate the obtained data and to formulate conclusions and recommendations on conflict prevention and de-escalation for practice based on the results of the questionnaire survey. Methodology: The research was conducted in the form of a non-standardized anonymous questionnaire of our own design, distributed to paediatric, general and practical nurses working in the paediatric wards at Motol Hospital. 144 correctly completed questionnaires are included in the final study. The effect of a child's hospitalisation on the whole family

The bachelor thesis deals with the hospitalization of a child and all the factors that affect other family members in connection with the child's admission to a medical facility. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the child, the perception of illness, the impact of hospitalization on the child, as well as on the family, siblings and cooperation with medical staff. The empirical part is based on a quantitative research investigation and analysis of the data collected. The aim of the empirical part was to find out whether the child's hospitalization affects the family, family life and siblings. A quantitative research method was used using a non-standardized questionnaire of own design, which was intended for parents of children hospitalized in pre- selected wards of Motol University Hospital. 123 completed questionnaires were included in the actual survey. The reserch results of the survey show that parents of hospitalized children do not have sufficient support from the medical staff. The greatest support is provided by the family, which also provides help in the home and with other children. The bachelor thesis focuses on the identification of the attitudes of second grade pupils of primary schools for the hearing impaired in Prague towards extracurricular sports activities. The theoretical part is an introduction to the issue of sports with hearing impairment. It describes a person with hearing impairment in terms of his specific life situation and focuses on his communication, personality and compensatory aids. Furthermore, the theoretical part deals with the issues of older school age, education of pupils in schools for the hearing impaired in Prague and sports activities of people with hearing impairment. The theoretical part focuses on sports with hearing impairment from the historical and current point of view and also offers an insight into professional sports. In the practical part, the attitudes of pupils towards extracurricular sports are investigated using an attitude scale. Furthermore, the practical part identifies the circumstances leading to the choice of sport and the influence of communication barriers on the extracurricular sports activities of these pupils. Development of communication skills in children with specific language impairment

The bachelor thesis focuses on speech therapy, specifically on the development of communication skills in children with developmental language disorders. The theoretical part includes two chapters. The first chapter deals with the theoretical background and then the developmental language disorder itself. The theoretical background defines communication, speech, and language, and describes the development of speech, language, and communication, as well as impaired communication skills. The etiological classification of impaired communicative ability is also briefly mentioned. At the end of the chapter, neurodevelopmental disorders, their common features and classification, diagnosis and therapy are defined. The second chapter deals with developmental language disorder. This work deals with the issue of future planning in families with a child with mental disabilities. The theoretical part outlines the definition of a family, the specifics of families with a child with mental disabilities, social services for adults with mental disabilities, and the specifics of future planning for people with mental disabilities. Within the practical part of the bachelor thesis, the methodology of the chosen approach is defined, and the results of the research survey are interpreted. The aim of the work is to find out how families with a child with mental disabilities approach future planning. The chosen research method is semi- structured interviews with ten respondents. The testimonies of parents and siblings of children with mental disabilities provided insight into the approach to future planning, the difficulties associated with this topic, and the unique stories of individual families.
Development of language skills in early-age children

The topic of this bachelor's thesis is a development of language skills in early aged children, thus children up to the age of three. The main goal of this thesis is the analysis of a development of language skills in early aged children. The theoretical part of the thesis has two chapters. The first chapter presents the theoretical basis for the issue of language development, the difference between speech and communication as such and describes the production of sounds. Furthermore, there are the basic concepts of the nervous system important for the creation of speech presented in the first chapter. The six cranial nerves (trigeminal nerve, facial nerve, glossopharyngeal nerve, vagus nerve, hypoglossal nerve and vestibulocochlearis nerve) and their influence on speech and hearing production are listed here. The second chapter of the theoretical part of this work is devoted to specific periods in the development of language skills in the early years of the child. The prenatal period is presented here, followed by the screaming period, the pre-speech period and then the period of the first words. The speech comprehension period is listed next. The main topic of the bachelor thesis supports the development through the stimulation of auditory perception in early childhood. The thesis consists of three chapters, two of them are theoretical and the last one is practical. The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis defines basic terms such as speech, language, and communication. Further, it describes the ontogenesis of speech, language and communication in early childhood. The ontogenesis of speech, language and communication is described by two different authors. The next chapter of the theoretical part introduces auditory perception. This chapter also includes a description of the anatomy and physiology of the ear, auditory perception development, and areas of auditory perception. The research part of the bachelor thesis is research based on qualitative methods. The research method used in the bachelor thesis is case studies. Case studies were processed with the help of other research techniques.
