Comparison of Vehicle Handling Characteristics
Kalábová, Barbora ; Semela, Marek (referee) ; Vémola, Aleš (advisor)
This thesis deals with the analysis of the car driving characteristics depending on the type of drive wheels. The first chapter defines the basic theoretical cars concept as well as procedures for determining the individual variables needed to identify the driving dynamics of vehicles. The practical part describes the plan and the progress of realized measurements on a selected pattern of vehicles, and the measured values are interpreted. The final part deals with the evaluation of the performed measurements and the data identified within these measurements.
The engine unit of a loader
Vaněk, David ; Škopán, Miroslav (referee) ; Kašpárek, Jaroslav (advisor)
This paper deals with a design of wheel loader’s engine unit and its performance, as well as the choice of suitable unit itself. Theoretical part describes a standard approach used in designing loaders in the performance and weight class according to the parameters listed and also introduces common designs of loader’s individual parts. It gives the reader an overview of various machines currently available on today’s market and their comparison. The second part of the thesis consists of performance design and calculations based on the comparison of performances needed for various working modes of the machine, where the performance are calculated as a sum of partial performances of differents parts of machines. The result of this paper is a choice of motorized unit that suits all the designed and calculated parameters.
Design of direct shift gearbox
Kliš, Vojtěch ; Prokop, Aleš (referee) ; Řehák, Kamil (advisor)
This thesis deals with the conceptual design of a double clutch gearbox and the inspection of selected designed parts of this gearbox. The first part of the thesis is focused on the theory of automotive transmissions and analysis of already available double clutch gearboxes. The following is the conceptual design itself, which is based on the selected vehicle on which the transmission will be located and on driving resistances. Based on these default values, the gear graduation is selected, which affects the vehicle’s driving dynamics. With regard to the installation space, a conceptual arrangement of the gearbox is proposed. Furthermore, the thesis is focused on the basic design and calculations of individual functional components of the gearbox. The last part of the thesis is involved to the control of selected structural nodes using the finite element method in the ansys workbench software. The whole thesis describes the individual steps for the design of the basic concept of a double clutch gearbox and the design of their basic components.
Braking marks creation analysis in dependence of vehicle deceleration
Svoboda, Lukáš ; Panáček, Vladimír (referee) ; Vémola, Aleš (advisor)
The work is divided into two parts – theoretical and practical. The first, theoretical part is focused on introduction with the problematics, describing the concept of translation motion and brake physics, defining terms adhesion and friction, skid, driving resistances, calculation formulas etc. After the mechanics chapter follows the chapter about tire and its composition and properties, and a brake system chapter, describing Anti-lock brake system (ABS) and some other important brake-support systems. Second part of this thesis is focused on practical side, which contains acceleration measuring and skid marks creation, followed by evaluation of measured data in form of calculations and graphs.
Road Resistances of Vehicles
Prachař, Roman ; Dadák, Leo (referee) ; Rochla, Tomáš (advisor)
his thesis deals with the analysis of particular road resistances that affect the car. It describes their importance and factors that influence their size. This thesis defines steps that determine particular quantities that are necessary to assess road resistances. Describing, it qualifies transfer and sizes of driving force that is needed to overcome total road resistance, measuring methods of road range tests upon appropriation of road resistances and influence of road resistances on economy of traffic. Practical part discusses the plan and course of realized measuring of selected sample of cars. Final part deals with the evaluation of measured values of realized measuring.
Non-synchronous Gearbox Design for Racing Cars
Pokorný, Lukáš ; Zháňal, Lubor (referee) ; Beran, Martin (advisor)
The thesis focuses on the design of an appropriate reconstruction of automobile gearboxes for racing cars. It describes the steps necessary to create the final solution. It also describes the work of the ATOS 3D scanner and software Engineer.
The engine unit of a telescopic loader
Seják, Jan ; Škopán, Miroslav (referee) ; Kašpárek, Jaroslav (advisor)
This work deals with design and selection of telescopic loader engine unit according to given parameters. The first part deals with the research analysis and comparison of telescopic manipulators of similar weight category. The second part contains a design calculation of engine power needed for different machine modes. Finally, select the appropriate motor unit with respect to the calculated power values.
Buggy Concept Design
Richter, Vojtěch ; Vančura, Jan (referee) ; Blaťák, Ondřej (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to create instruction for the construction of a terrain buggy. It’s research of used technology, but there are also key components calculation included. The thesis is divided into five parts. In the first part, there is a research of the components of the racing vehicle and there are some equations for calculation of important parameters. Furthermore, there is layout and dimension of main components and the frame. In this part is also solved storage of the engine in the frame. The third part is devoted to the calculation of the necessary driving force of the vehicle and the parameters of the braking system. The following section discusses the concept of suspension and damping with respect with favourable kinematics of the system.
Computational Model and Analysis of Vehicle Driving Dynamics
Mrázek, František ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the creation of a computational model and analysis of vehicle dynamics in connection with the principles and rules that are closely related to vehicle dynamics. We will use the key physical phenomena related to the driving dynamics of the model vehicle, suitable for modeling and analysis. The model will demonstrate the driving dynamics of vehicles in several appropriately selected situations and creates the possibility to compare the results with data obtained from freely available publications and tests.
LiveScript to solve longitudinal vehicle dynamics
Tuharský, Erik ; Ušiak, Michal (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis focuses on describing the running resistances (rolling, aerodynamic, climbing resistance and resistance to acceleration) and their effect on the longitudinal dynamics of vehicles. The running resistances are then calculated using a MATLAB programme. The time to reach 100 km/h and the distance to stop from a 100 km/h are also calculated. The conclusion then concentrates on comparing the results of the calculations and data obtained on a test using an available vehicle.
