Title: Perceptions of primary-school children about movement, sport and healthy life-style Author: Radka Slováková Department: Department of Physical Education Supervisior: Doc. PhDr. Jiří Hrabinec, CSc. Abstrakt: This thesis deals with the views of younger school children on matters of physical activity, sports and healthy lifestyle. The theoretical part covers the definition of the terms health and healthy lifestyle. This is followed by a description of the characteristics of children of primary school age and a list of terms related to the topics family, sports and exercise, nutrition, obesity and its treatment. The practical part describes the research and the methods that were used. The research was conducted at a primary school in Čelakovice and the participants were children aged between 10 and 11 years from the fourth grade. Junák - Czech scouting? To the ideological origins of the Czech Scouting.

This master thesis focuses on founding and forming of czech scouting. The main source are printed documents because of lack preserved archive documents. The main method is textological and comparative analysis. At first the history of world and czech scouting is presentend. To find out the essential differences between english and czech scouting I compared two basic manuals: Scouting for Boys and Základy junáctví. In the following part of the thesis I determine three areas in which the reception of scouting in czech environment is investigated. These areas are scout value system, attitude to nation and state and relation to the Sokol organisation. In thesis are also analyzed the results of international research concerning the origin of scouting in other european countries. The results are then copared with the situation in czech lands. The thesis also includes three following attachments: set of short biographies of mentioned personalities, edition of scout laws and filled research questionnaires.

From Descates' Mind to Kant's Reason

The basic subject-matter of my research is R. Descartes' Meditations On First Philosophy and I examine the term intellect and its position within the mind and its relation to thought. My work includes a study of sensation and imagination which provide the intellect with "material" to judge. The objective of my thesis is to demonstrate the role the intellect plays in terms of reason and to present an interpretation of the way in which the mind is designated in relation to reason according to Rene Descartes in his writing and in his responses to objections. The position and functions of the intellect are understood as a logical structure of mutual dependence and as the elements essential for the understanding of the human soul substance. At the end of my thesis I demonstrate that the system of reason of R. Descartes might be considered as the basis for the transcendental conception of reason in Kant's philosophy, which leads to an idealistic world conception and is founded on thinking a priori. Conception of an Object as a Complex of Perceptions in David Hume's Philosophy

Práce pojednává o objektu (jakožto komplexu percepcí) a s daným tématem souvisejícími otázkami v kontextu filosofie Davida Huma, jak je obsažena především v první knize jeho díla Treatise of Human Nature a rovněž s přihlédnutím k dílům Enquiry Concerning Human Undestanding a An Abstract of A Treatise of Human Nature a dalším titulům primární a sekundární literatury. Tematizováno je v tomto kontextu tedy nejprve Humovo pojetí percepcí jako takové (a to na základě první kapitoly Treatisu, Of ideas, their origin, composition, connexion, abstraction etc.). Poté je v souvislosti s předchozím pojednáno i o Humově pojetí identity (především objektu-tělesa) a jeho koncepce individuace, resp. i stálosti a koherence. (a to na základě čtvrté kapitoly Of scepticism with regard to senses). Na konci práce jsou kontrastovány různé možné typy objektů, jež lze (dle autora této práce) chápat jako komplexy percepcí a poté je nabídnuto schéma hypotézy o individuaci tzv. materiálních těles (bodies) v prostoru.

Language, speech and understanding

This thesis studies different conceptions of knowledge as they were conceived by George Berkeley and Immanuel Kant. In the first chapter we concentrate on Berkeley's pragmatic interpretation of knowledge which is based on the localization of the non-predicative judgements into the inner structure of perception. As the result there is such knowledge which is by human being used to identification of conditions for the formation of particular combinations of ideas and also to their more or less exact prognosis. We concentrate also on Berkeley's attempt to avoid "ontological" or "absolute" interpretations of "traditional concepts of metaphysics" as ,substance', an absolute existence of non-egoistic matterial being etc. In the second chapter of this thesis we are trying to study in which way is the idea of knowledge being transformed, in case that the starting point for interpretation of knowledge is, according to Kant, descriptive analysis of synthetic judgements a priori, whose proposition is the synthesis of subject and predicate. We will show that Kant contributed to the new understanding of metaphysics as transcendental research possibility of knowledge, and how were thanks to that meanings and status of subject and object transformed. Man Lives Ethically

The dissertation represents a philosophical contribution to ethics and ethical education. Its intention is to present ethics not only as a doctrine of the values and rules of human coexistence, but above all as an essential questioning that brings one to spiritual depth as a true philosophy. It does not approach to the topic by analyzing the work of one or a few relevant authors, but it is guided by the topic itself and the context in which ethics appears. The inspiration here is Heidegger's understanding of the world as the so-called Foursome, in which man, as Mortal, relates to the Earth, the Heavens, and the Divine. As Heidegger explains that man relates poetry to the depths of the world, this dissertation attempts to explain that ethical relation to the world is also something essential for man. The ethical dimension of human action and decision-making, which comes from human freedom, is presented here on diferent levels as morality and ethos. While morality is largely based on the social setting and can be described as a certain conformity, the ethos represents a deep personal authentic search for Good. It is an act in accordance with the conscience, which is oriented according to the Good. Good is presented as an idea in the Platonic sense, as a whole without border, as Divine. This Good...
