Differences in the eating habits of rowers and crossfit athletes

The theme of this thesis is sports diet. It is divided into two parts. A theoretical part explains balanced died. It describes the mechanics of energy generation during physical activity and the characteristics of rowing and Crossfit. The focus is on diet in those disciplines. Based on the theoretical foundation is build a practical part, where the statistical data are analyzed and evaluated. The goal of this thesis is to discover, whether there is a difference between rower's and Crossfit athlete's diets. To find out, specialized questionaries about eating habits have been used. Sixteen sportsmen/sportswomen have filled the questionaries. Based upon collected data about their intake of selected nutrients in the last month, there were no statistically significant differences in energy income, protein consumption (neither animal nor plant-based), amount of fruit and vegetables, fatty acid spectrum nor added sugar income. The data have nonetheless indicated differences, eg. Crossfitters tend to have higher animal protein consumption and lower intake of fruit. Use of CrossFit elements to develop the strength and endurance abilities of the general population.

Title of the thesis: Use of CrossFit elements to develop the strength and endurance abilities of the general population. Objectives of the thesis: Based on literary research and own experience, prepare a design of an interventional movement program with CrossFit elements aimed at affecting the strength and endurance abilities of a group of men from the general population. Methods: The research method of professional literature was used in this thesis, especially collection, sorting and evaluation of relevant information. In proces of searching for information, I drew from professional books, scientific articles, studies or websites dealing with the researched topic. I searched for electronic publications on the following servers: Web of Science, Scholar Google, SportDiscus, PubMed. Results: Based on information from the professional literature, I have come to believe that CrossFit training has the potential to develop both strength and endurance abilities, as well as aerobic fitness or change body composition. The result of the thesis is a theoretical design of a seven-week interventional movement program with CrossFit elements, which is aimed at developing strength and endurance abilities. Use of Crossfit in condition training of junior ice hockey players

Title: Use of Crossfit in condition training of junior ice hockey players Objectives: Main idea of this thesis was to prove, that Crossfit is usefull in ice hockey while pre-season. We aimed to proved crossfit improvment at generally condition presupposition, compare to other training method. Main area of condition were speed and power presupposition. Methods: In our thesis we used a method of analysis and a method of comparison. We apllied the method of analysis in pre-season of ice hockey and the method of comparison in comparing the two different types of training method. We used Crossfit as training method, which was applied on junior hockey. Strength training based on Crossfit exercise is going to be compared with running training, This running training program is use for training of junior hockey players. In the period under consideration of the performance stage we assess the change of power and speed performances of the ice hockey players. To assassmnet we used battery of test which is identify for Czech junior hockey league. We applied this test on junior players at age 17-20, which are playing 2. Czech league. Effect of the eight-week intervention training program with the CrossFit system on physical fitness

Title: Effect of the eight-week intervention training program with the CrossFit system on physical fitness Objective: The main aim of the thesis is to introducean individual intervention training program, examine it and evaluate its effect after 8-week practice. The goal of the intervention is to develop the athlete's strength abilities, anaerobic endurance and body stability. Another goal is to organize the training plan and the training session in a way that allows the athlete to achieve the established goal of the intervention. Methods: To gather all the measurable information during the training, the thesis makes use of the continuous quantitative diagnostics. As regards the physical literacy and subjective feelings of the athlete, the thesis utilizes the qualitative diagnostics. In order to be able to gather feedback, to adjust the training plan and to evaluate the final effect, the thesis employs the methods of analysis and comparison. Results: Thanks to the 8-week training program, the athlete achieved significant improvements in her physical endurance. The athlete has undeniably improved the technique of the squat snatch and squat clean & jerk, being able to lift an additional weight of 2,5 kg in both exercises compared to her initial performances. Communication Strategy of Reebok from 2016 to Present

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to analyse communication strategy of Reebok in the Czech Republic between 2016 and 2018. The theoretical part includes definition of marketing communication and single tools of communication mix. In the practical part, I briefly focus on the history and development of Reebok brand and its position in the Czech market. I introduce some sports that Reebok brand focuses on. Then, I describe the grassroots of the Reebok global communication strategy and subsequently I analyse the concrete parts of the communication mix in the Czech Republic via descriptive method combined with information obtained from the interviews. Finally, I evaluate the present communication strategy of Reebok brand on the Czech market and propose some steps that could possibly lead to more effective communication of the brand.
Crossfit Body, Habiitus and Lifestyle

This paper is concern on defining the term "habitus" within crossfit. Crossfit is new sport phenomena which is differently accepted in sport society. It can be supposed that due to its specifics crossfit is attracive for specific group of people and crossfit can be considered as a part of style aferwards. The theoretic part is based on assumptions of Marcel Mauss, who defined habitus as aspects of culture which are embodied to body throw daily practiques and resulted in acquired abilities, Pierre Bourdieu, who connected habitus with terms as capital, social field and style, and Loic Wacquant, who added the dimenstion of bodily capital, which concrete form can be seen as projection of culture values. By way of enthnography, and followng interviews these research questions are supposed to be answered: How does crossfit habitus look like? How is reproduced? Which life style can be associated with crossfit? How can be crossfiters characterized in social space?
Business plan - fitness center

Title: Business plan - fitness centre Objectives: The main objective of this thesis is to develop a business plan of the newly emerging CrossFit Gym in downtown of Mladá Boleslav and to verify the feasibility of the project. Methods: First part includes theoretic basis needed for understanding this issue. There are important terms, structure and principles explained in this part. In the second part methods of financial analysis and scoring model for analysing competition are used. Results: Business plan for establishing a first CrossFit gym i Mladá Boleslav showed that the gym has potential to succeed and prosper in the market. All analysis results are displayed using tables. In comparsion with competitors it offers new, trendy product. Price is higher than the competitors, but comparable to other CrossFit gyms in the Czech Republic. It offers to customers less space highly adapted and equipped for thy type of training. Keywords:
Crossfit as a means of rowing workout

The main topic of this thesis is to map and assess the impact of CrossFit workout on rowers performance. Next is comparison of rowers who practice CrossFit workout and who not, and both fitness and the technical side. In the theoretical part is mentioned characterics of rowing, rowing disciplines, categories, rowing tracks and means of rowers. Other chapters deal with plyometric training, CrossFit and sports training. There are mentioned means of CrossFit workout and exercises suitable for rowers. The practical part characterized rowers which are monitored and compared, followed by a comparison and evaluation of the results.
