Utilizing RELAX NG Schemas in XML Editors
Schmied, Martin ; Kosek, Jiří (advisor) ; Nič, Miloslav (referee)
This thesis explores the possibilities of utilizing RELAX NG schemata in the process of editing XML documents. The ultimate goal of this thesis is to prototype a system supporting user while editing XML document with bound RELAX NG schema inside the Eclipse IDE. Such a system comprises two major components -- an integration of RELAX NG validator and an autocompletion engine. Design of the autocompletion engine represents the main contribution of this thesis, because similar systems are almost exclusively implemented in closed-source commercial editors as of 2009. The first chapter is a brief introduction into XML while emphasizing XML schema languages. A comparison is of three major schema languages -- DTD, W3C XML Schema and RELAX NG. Furthermore, options of exploiting information from schema by the XML editor are discussed. In the end of the chapter an overview of basic RELAX NG patterns used throughout this thesis is given. The second chapter describes implementation of the autocompletion engine. It reasons about appropriate in-memory representation of the XML documents and RELAX NG schemas and presents basic principles of pattern-inference for individual elements. The main output of the chapter is an algorithm proposal for generating possible completions based on given XML document nodes and RELAX NG schema of the document. The goal of the final third chapter is integrating RELAX NG validator and the autocompletion engine inside the Eclipse IDE. It starts by describing two basic aspects of Eclipse Platform -- the OSGi Service Platform dynamic module system and the extension point mechanism. Then the implementation of individual plug-ins and their integration with existing XML editing infrastructure is described.

ELECTORAL SUPPORT OF POLITICAL PARTIES : CHANGING PATTERNS IN THE SPATIAL STRUCTURE OF PRAGUE'S METROPOLITAN REGION IN 1996 - 2006
Škorpil, Jan ; Novák, Jakub (advisor) ; Kostelecký, Tomáš (referee)
This thesis deals with geographic analysis of political behaviour. It is spatially limited to a metropolitan area of Prague, the capital and biggest city in the Czech Republic. Political behaviour of voters is analysed on election results of parlamentary elections between 1996 and 2006. The analysis uses agragate data and is undertaken in three main different sets of spatial units. Rusults are then compared inbetween them to confirm or refute obtained findings. The main goal of this thesis is to discover and analyse existing spatial patterns of political support for individual parties. As the czech political system is based on proportional representation, five main political parties and parties groupings are analysed. The second goal is to capture the change in political behaviour over the sudied time period. To discover how high the spatial stability of different party support is and which parts of the metropolitan region has undergone the biggest change in political behaviour. Last goal is to try to explain what changes has the process of resididential suburbanization done to the existing spatial structure of party support. The main conclusion is that the existing pattern of political party support has been on the level of main morphological zones reversed. The main right-wing party of the czech...

Regional Administrative Border as a Problem of Development of the South-West Moravian Peripheries
Střížová, Aneta ; Chromý, Pavel (advisor) ; Kučerová, Silvie Rita (referee)
9 ABSTRACT This study deals with the problems of the development of periphery in Southwestern Moravia. We work with a concrete pattern region through which the administrative border is passed. We suppose that the presence of the regional border can have negative impacts on the development of this region. This is the structure of the study: In the first part we discuss the problems of peripheries, borders. We explain the used terms. In the second part we describe basic features of the region, we evaluate this region in term of chosen development documents. In the third part we analyse the measure of the periphery of the region. There is the evalution of the measure of the influence of the regional administrative border on the development of the region and the cooperation there in the fourth chapter. The whole study is closed with the themes of the measures maked for the development of the region. We finish with a summary of the obtained informations and we confirme/disprove the initial premises.

Influence of occupation at head of household on housing standard
Dvorožňáková, Zuzana ; Bína, Vladislav (advisor) ; Bartošová, Jitka (referee)
The aim of the bachelor paper is to explore in more detail the interdependence between the occupation of the head of household as the main gainful activity, and the housing standard in Slovak families in the years 2005 and 2006. In the practical part we compare the housing costs, total household income and the gross monthly salary of the person bearing the housing expenses, with the particular selected variables. The closing part of the paper contains a verbal summary of the observed patterns of interdependence which have been identified by selected statistical methods and graphs.

Worker, overman, mortal. Three forms of man's humanity in philosophical anthropology.
Novák, Aleš ; Benyovszky, Ladislav (advisor) ; Petříček, Miroslav (referee) ; Ajvaz, Michail (referee)
The concept of humanity in the first half of the 20th century was by far detemined by labour, power, and war. Ernst Jünger focuses on the significance of labour for the brand new understanding of anthropology as the pattern of worker. But his conception is derived from the metaphysics of the will to power by Friedrich Nietzsche. On the other hand, an alternative conception of humanity is presented by the work of Martin Heidegger describing the human as a mortal.

Daum O., Grossmann P., Vanecek T., Sima R., Mukensnabl P., Michal M. (2006): Diagnostic morphological features of PDGFRA-mutated gastrointestinal stromal tumors: Molecular genetic and histological analysis of 60 cases of gastric GISTs. Ann. Diagn. Pathol. In Press Summary In this study, 60 gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) of the stomach were analyzed to elucidate the possible relation of their morphology to mutation status of KIT and PDGFRA genes. The patients included 27 men and 33 women with a mean age of 63,8 years (range 12 to 92). Only one tumor occurred before the age of 21 years. KIT mutations were detected in 31 cases (51,7%), PDGFRA mutations in 22 cases (36,7%), and seven cases (11,7%) were KIT and PDGFRA wild type. When the mutation status was correlated with histological features of the tumors, epithelioid or mixed epithelioid/spindle cell pattern and mast cell infiltration were found as the most reliable signs of PDGFRA mutation. Neoplastic rhabdoid cells and multinucleated giant cells, also previously reported as features of PDGFRA mutated GISTs, seemed to be less specific but still helpful markers in our study. Finally, tumor infiltrating lymphocytes and myxoid stroma do not seem to be valuable histological signs. Daum O., Klecka J., Ferda J., Treska V., Vanecek T., Sima R., Mukensnabl...

Cartographic representation of the development of pupils' ideas about spatial layout and geography of the Czechia
Pastuchová, Tereza ; Hudeček, Tomáš (referee) ; Bláha, Jan Daniel (advisor)
The aim of this study is to analyze the ideas of students of various ages and residence about spatial layout and geography of the Czech Republic. The output is mainly maps that provide visual comparison of these concepts. The method of research is the survey which was carried out on four Czech schools. The beginning of the paper is devoted to the theory of mental maps, specification of hypotheses and the administration of the questionnaire. The analysis of the data is then divided into three parts. The main task of the first part involves the creation of so-called aggregate mental maps of a map of the Czechia (for each school separately). The second part examines the positioning accuracy of Prague on these maps. The last part of the research is to analyze preferences of students for their permanent housing. The conclusion of the study includes a summary evaluation of the results and provides suggestions for further research and possible use of this study.

Kroužilová, Iva ; Chrdlová, Michaela (referee) ; Krykorková, Hana (advisor)
The aim of this diploma work is to provide teachers and other pedagogical staff with the summary of recommendations for dealing with the child's drawing as one of the diagnostic techniques which enables detection of the fact that the child is being abused or neglect. The theoretical part deals with syndrome CAN and child's drawing as one of the projective techniques. The empirical part of this diploma work includes the sample usage of child's drawing as the diagnostic technique when dealing with child being abused and neglect. The results of the self-constructed questionnaire provide with the information concerning the possibilities of using child's drawing as the diagnostic technique when dealing with child being abused and neglect. The questionnaires were filled in by the teachers of primary schools in Středočeský region. In connection with this fact I created the summary of recommendations regarding the possibilities of using of child's drawing as one of the diagnostic techniques for detection of the child being abused or neglect. The recommendations were proposed mainly for the teachers of other pedagogical staff .

History of Artificial Intelligence - Neural Networks
Šuchman, Ondřej ; Jirků, Petr (advisor) ; Berka, Petr (referee)
The main aim of my bachelor thesis is to map historical development of neural networks from the beginning (first mathematical model of neuron from 1943) to present and application of neural networks to "intelligent" devices, which can recognize the patterns, graphical data or convert English written text to the oral form (NETtalk). I have carefully studied the literature named in the chapter "Literatura a zdroje" in order to achieve this aim. In the first charter there is the theoretical survey about the field of artificial intelligence and neural networks. Then the thesis is well-arranged to five periods, which were important for neural networks in either good or bad way. To the most important discoveries are dedicated more space and there is mentioned their functionality and using possibilities. There is not enough space on this thesis to cover all the neural networks ever made. The aim of the thesis is to demostrate certain kinds of networks, their first usage, the most important algorithms and also to mention the significant applications of neural networks.

European lace of renaissance and baroque
Svobodová, Veronika ; Jarošová, Helena (referee) ; Kybalová, Jana (advisor)
Lace is a decorative ajour textile. Real laces can be divided into needle laces and bobbin laces. There are two types of bobbin laces: straight and part-lace. These both techniques were developed in the epoch of renaissance, in the first half of the 16th century. The needle lace was developed from a cutwork. The immediate precursors of the needle lace were "point coupe" and "reticella" techniques. The bobbin lace was developed from a passementerie. The bobbin laces as well as the needle laces appeared probably at once in Italy and Flanders. The first laces have a geometric decor. Linear or plant decors were used in the first half of the 17th century. Fine and light laces with a flower motif rise in the 18th century. In the end of the 18th century, the motifs are very small and the most of the laces fill mesh ground. In the epoch of the renaissance and the baroque, good conditions for complex figurative scenes were allowed. A grateful space for (riche -great) religion scenes was given. The lay scenes, almost genre, symbolic and hunting scenes can be seen on the lace, too. All the 16th century and in the first half of the 17th century appeared a lot of Pattern Books first for needle laces and then for bobbin laces in Germany and Italy. It is a proof (evidence) of a great vogue of the lace.
