Pojetí lidskosti člověka ve 20. století zdůrazňují význam motivů práce, moci, války. Prací determinovanou antropologii nejpregnatněji zformuloval Ernst Jünger. Jeho pozice však vychází z metafysiky Friedricha Nietzscheho, a to především z motivu vůle k moci. Práce je instrumentem k akumulaci a gradaci moci, jejímž nositelem je člověk definovaný jakožto figura dělníka. Jeho nejefektivnějším prostředkem pro dosahování moci je technika. Proti tomu vystupuje alternativní pozice Martina Heideggera s jeho kritikou techniky a novým pojetím lidskosti jakožto smrtelnosti. The concept of humanity in the first half of the 20th century was by far detemined by labour, power, and war. Ernst Jünger focuses on the significance of labour for the brand new understanding of anthropology as the pattern of worker. But his conception is derived from the metaphysics of the will to power by Friedrich Nietzsche. On the other hand, an alternative conception of humanity is presented by the work of Martin Heidegger describing the human as a mortal.
