Gallery and museum education of Deaf
Marešová, Veronika ; Novotná, Magdalena (advisor) ; Fulková, Marie (referee)
In this thesis I am concerned with gallery and museum education for deaf people. I visited the innovative, interactive Głusza exhibition at the Silesian Museum in Katowice, dedicated to Deaf culture, which subsequently inspired me to design an educational programme for Deaf and hearing audiences. Subsequently, I compared my findings with programmes and opportunities in Prague. I attempted to create a proposal for an educational program for both hearing and deaf audiences. The aim of my bachelor thesis is to highlight an issue that is still marginal in education, to explore the possibilities of gallery education for deaf pupils and to design my own project for lower-secondary pupils of primary school. From this knowledge and professional reflection, I have made recommendations on how to create educational programmes for deaf and hearing audiences and how to improve cooperation between galleries and museums and the deaf.

Dusilová, Pavlína ; Havlůjová, Hana (advisor) ; Fulková, Marie (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with informal leisure education in the gallery institution of the Gallery of the Central Bohemian Region in Kutná Hora. The theoretical part introduces concepts related to education in cultural institutions. It moves from the definition of museums and galleries to the definition of education and other concepts related to the issue of non-unified terminology. It looks at the use of several terms with the same meaning, such as education and animation, and their use in the literature. It then describes the life and work of the artists Jitka and Květa Válová, whose life's work was presented by the Gallery of the Central Bohemian Region in the exhibition Jitka and Květa Válovy: A Path Destined by Fate. The artists and the exhibition are connected to an educational programme that was created during six months of work with children of younger school age in an afternoon leisure activity called Ne/kroužek. Ne/kroužek is patronised by The Learning Centre of the Gallery of the Central Bohemian Region. The activities of The Learning Centre and its programme offer for 2022 are also described in the theoretical part. 1 ABSTRACT The thesis deals with the benefits of elements of scouting in the after-school club. The aim of the thesis is to design and verify an educational project for the after-school club, where the Scout idea will be interconnected with education in the after-school club. The program works with detailed preparation of individual activities serving as material for governesses in after-school clubs, scout leaders or teacher in leisure facilities. In the theoretical part I characterize the after-school club, its goals, mission and functions in the context of leisure time pedagogy. Furthermore, I describe the intellectual foundations of Scouting, the main principles and goals and also the Scout methodology. In the last charter of the theoretical part, the educational program in the after-school club will be compared with the Scout methodology so that there are clear common elements between them that will be used in the creation of the project in the practical part of the bachelor thesis. The practical part of the thesis consists of a project for the after-school club containing elements of scout educational work. At the same time, the project was tested on a specific group of children in the after-school club. The outputs show that the project is beneficial for children and governesses in the after-school...
Working with School Curriculum and Teaching Geography in Secondary Schools (Lower Secondary Education)
KALINA, Matyáš
The year 2007 marked the transition to a two-level system of educational documents for Czech education, which many described as a revolution. To this day, however, it is evident that for many schools and teachers this change took place only on paper, which also negatively affects the teaching of geography. This work provides an insight into the topics of working with school curriculum and teaching geography from the point of view of lower secondary education geography teachers. The theoretical part is devoted to the history and current system of Czech educational documents. The theory of geography teaching is also outlined. In the practical part, semi-structured interviews were conducted with 21 geography teachers, which made it possible to deepen the understanding of teaching geography and working with school curriculum. Due to the small number of interviewed teachers, the results cannot be considered representative, despite this, the work confirmed the formality of school curricula to a certain level. In many cases, the work of teachers and schools with school curriculum remains very shallow. The character of geography teaching contains significant differences among the teachers, the Czech educational system is highly differentiated. The research also pointed out the weak positions of human geography and fieldwork in the geography education at lower secondary education. The semi-structured interviews contained a total of 18 segments, 9 on working with school curriculum and 9 on selected aspects of geography teaching.
Family Models: Teachers' views on this topic within curricula
Rejfová, Dominika ; Smetáčková, Irena (advisor) ; Hyánková, Tereza (referee)
The bachelor thesis "Family Models: Teachers' views on this topic within curricula" explores how teachers deal with family models in teaching according to their professional experience. I am interested in how teachers perceive the inclusion of family models into teaching. Whether more time should be devoted to this topic in ZSV classes or whether, on the contrary, this topic is sufficiently represented in the curricula. I am focusing on whether teachers present only the traditional family as a model or whether they try to include other family models in their teaching. Other related questions are then derived from this. These include how teachers apply family models in their teaching, whether teachers are afraid to express their opinions or whether they feel constrained in their practice by the school or parents. In the theoretical part, I focus on the terminology of family, the teacher as a person, and the family in the curriculum and teaching. I want to highlight the importance of the family for the child and the factors influencing the form and functionality of the family. In the practical part, qualitative research is carried out based on the interviews with ten informants teaching ZSV in a high school. Based on the thematic analysis, it was found that informants evaluate the inclusion of family...
