The issue of gifted students in techer training

1 ABSTRACT The topic of gifted and exceptionally gifted children, students, and pupils has been receiving increasing attention in recent years. Both experts and the general public are addressing this issue. An individual approach to gifted students that respects their specific characteristics is crucial for their proper development and support of their potential, but it is difficult to achieve without quality teacher training. The aim of this work is to find out how the training of teachers for educating gifted and exceptionally gifted students is conducted and whether future teachers feel prepared to work with gifted students. In the theoretical part, the concept of giftedness and the characteristics of gifted students are defined. The possibilities of educating gifted students, including the legislative framework of this issue, are mentioned in connection with teachers' training. Furthermore, research and surveys related to teachers' readiness for educating gifted students are discussed in the theoretical part. The readiness of students and graduates of secondary school of education for art activities in kindergarten.

The theme of this bachelor's thesis is "The preparation of secondary pedagogy school students and graduates focusing on art activities in an infant school". The main objective is to uncover how students and graduates evaluate and assess their own readiness for performing art-themed activities in a given infant school establishment. In the theoretical section of this thesis I looked into the characteristics of secondary schools. Furthermore, I attempted to analyse and describe what methodology was used for composing art lessons on these schools. During the analysis I followed up on the Framework Education Programme for the field of preschool and extracurricular pedagogy, along with the School Education Programme; both of which are the merit of this research. Moreover, I utilized the theoretical section for my description of pre-school education, the art-themed activities in infant schools and the personality of a pre-school teacher and an art teacher. The crucial chapter of the theoretical section is the one that evaluates the readiness of students from the point of view of the professional competences and self-efficacy. Education and development of teaching staff in the organization of merged kindergartens

The thesis deals with the topic "Training and development of teaching staff in the organization of merged kindergartens". The aim of the thesis is to identify and analyze the educational needs of teaching staff in kindergartens in the context of their further education and to propose a concept of further education of teaching staff of the organization. The theoretical part introduces the basic concepts and describes the system education, forms and methods of educational development of the staff of the selected organization. The thesis describes the importance of lifelong learning in the framework of continuing education of teaching staff, then the concept of who is a teaching staff, what is education and learning, human resources and their management. The thesis introduces formal, non- formal and informal adult education. It describes, among other things, the legislative framework for continuing education of teaching staff. The practical part follows the theoretical part and the research investigation is based on it, for which the form of an anonymous questionnaire was used. Waldorf school teacher training for Physical education classes and German language classes.

The diploma thesis deals with the specifics of teacher's preparation for teaching at Waldorf school. More specifically, the author of the thesis focuses on subjects and classes of her specialization - Physical education and German language. The thesis is divided into two parts. In the first, theoretical, part, the text presents and clarifies basic terms that are crucial for the topic - alternative education in a context of Waldorf school, the term of anthroposophy and finally, its founder Rudolph Steiner. In the following chapters, the author addresses the personality of the Waldorf teacher, the issue connected to the teacher-pupil relationship and, most importantly, teacher's training for Physical education classes and German language classes in Waldorf education. In the practical part, the writer concentrates on specific examples of Physical education classes and German language classes she observed at Waldorf school. Using interviews and teachers' points of view, the text examines the success of accomplishing the educational goals the teachers had set. The outcome is analysed while taking anthroposophy approach into consideration. In addition, the author applies qualitative research methods.

The professional development of teachers, which also includes the teacher's further education, is one of the main strategic objectives of the contemporary school system. This work examines which types and forms of further education are most frequently chosen. The work also investigates the processes of this kind of education at different types of schools - kindergarten, primary and secondary schools. The theoretical part of the work gradually focuses on the history and explanation of the basic terms and objectives of further education. In the following chapters the work concentrates on the legal background, the kinds and the forms of further education. The empirical part of the work makes statements on the basis of the research objectives. The text content analysis (of kindergarten annual reports and other records) is used in order to verify the statements. The research sample was randomly chosen from the representatives of kindergarten, primary and secondary schools. On the basis of the above mentioned research it is stated that the heads of primary and secondary schools act accordingly to the school regulations: which means that the evaluation of teacher training and further education is included in the annual reports of the schools. Sociocultural disability of foreign pupils and professional qualification of teachers The aim of the dissertation thesis is to analyze the vocational qualification of teachers in relation to socio-cultural disability of foreign pupils (pupils with a different mother tongue). The theoretical part presents current knowledge regarding the issues of education of foreign pupils (pupils with a different mother tongue) in Czech and foreign background. It defines basic approaches to socio-cultural disabilities and content framework of vocational qualification in relation to foreigner's pupils. The theoretical part is based mainly on the latest intercultural education, special education and other educational disciplines. Another source of information is an empirical study which determines what should be the content of training teachers to effectively teach foreigner's pupil (the pupil with a different mother tongue). Education of kindergarten's teachers

The aim of the Diploma thesis was an analysis of the current teaching possibilities for kindergarten teachers and its related contribution for teaching profession. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. Theoretical part is further divided into several sections that reflect terminology, legislation, forms of teachers' education, historical perspective on changes in teachers' education in the Czech Republic as well as a brief introduction to situations in abroad. The empirical part is established by structural dialogues among experts in pedagogical field and questionnaires filled out by teachers and parents whose children attend pre-school facilities. Conclusion of this thesis reflects current teaching possibilities and evaluates their contribution to the pedagogical public. Key Words Kindergarten, teacher training, education offer, qualification.
Education of pupils in Finland

The thesis focuses on description and detailed analysis of factors and the strengths which influence the Finnish educational system, which makes it one of the best in the world. These strengths include, for example, the preparation (training) of future teachers at faculties, the support for pupils in education, or the current curriculum for basic education valid from 2016, etc. The strengths are influenced by factors such as history of a country, culture, geographical and demographic characteristics or economic situation in the background. The analysis of these strengths and factors includes comments based on my personal experience with Finnish education, which I was able to get during my study stay in Finland and is the starting point for a final comparison with Czech primary education. These experiences are also included in the form of written records and other supporting materials obtained during the hospice lessons at the Finnish Primary Schools. The subsequent comparison focuses on the most important points of analysis, both in Finland and Czech education, and shows not only the differences in both schools but also some similarities that we can observe.
